"Ah! One of Omar's esteemed guests? I'll tell him that you're looking for him. Name?" The receptionist asked with a gracious smile.

"Orthus. Orthus Regulus," Was the reply.

Nodding back, the receptionist entered a few things into his cellphone. "Now, if you'll go to the waiting room, he should reply shor- Oh? You must be a very close friend. He said that you can go to his room now. It will be the top floor. Use this key in the elevator." The man produced a very small coin, barely the size of a penny, and handed it to Ors.

Upon arrival at the elevator, Ors placed the coin into a slot next to the up button, which ate the coin. The wall at the end of the hallway opened to reveal a blue pad with gold rings floating around it. "Wh-what the fuck is that?"

But regardless of his reservations, the receptionist had told him this would lead to Omar's room, so he walked onto the pad. His surroundings suddenly morphed to a large, lavish room with trees, grass, and jungle plants growing in it. small animals like rats scampered around, with snakes crawling through trees. a waterfall flowed on one side with a small pool underneath it.

'Wait, this isn't a room, this is just a fucking jungle!' The waterfall suddenly parted to reveal a damp, dark bedroom with a chandelier on the caverntop. On the queen sized bed, an older boy with incredibly long green dreadlocks lay, reading a magazine.

He looked up. "Ah! You're here. My brother said he'd send you. The name is Omar Sengosa. Nice to meetcha, I like people whose first names start with 'O'!"

"Uhhh, so I take it you're Vatira's older brother? Is he supposed to come here soon?" Biting his lip, Ors asked.

"Nope, he asked me to call whenever you got here." Omar nodded.

The two stared into each other's eyes.

"So, are you going to call him?" The eyes of the younger boy twitched.

Thinking for a moment, Omar answered, "No. If I do, he will want a rematch with your pokemon, and you don't seem to have one with you, so until I tell him not to attack you, the two of you shouldn't meet. He's rambunctious, but a good kid."

Ors gratefully lowered his head, "Thanks." He looked around. "So what's with all of this strange technology? A teleportation pad? Some waterfall splitter? None of this is normal to someone like me, my family was mostly poor, apart from my grandpa."

"Ah. I'm filthy rich. That's why." Omar grinned, like that actually explained anything.

A *Ptooey* sounded as a wad of spit landed on the ground. "That doesn't explain anything, dammit! How do you have the ability to teleport from the jungle to a pokemon center, where the fuck are we, and who is your family, for starters?"

"The Sengosa family. We own the arena in Fennel Town, which we're on the outskirts of now. This is where a clan of water Ekans lives, but they spend most of their lives on the lake floor, so you won't see one unless you're lucky. Or unlucky, I guess. Anyway, the Joy Clan is trying to tame them because they're rare-ish. So I'm guarding the area where a teleporter can send Joy here or pokemon into town. I'm actually super strong as well as rich!" The spoiled kid jumped off of his bed.

"Now, come on in!" A table and chairs rose up from the floor, where the owner quickly set and beckoned his guest.

While scratching his chin, Ors looked over the pond outside, realizing it was way bigger than he anticipated. In fact, after seeing it from the inside, it was huge! "How big is that pool?" He asked.

"So you saw it? There's a technology that uses the illusion powers of the ghost type to make space seem different, like making things bigger or smaller. It's pretty new, made by the Poketech company from Hoenn. They're an offshoot of the Devon Corporation, I believe."

"Can I take a dive?" Ors asked, wanting to inspect the pokemon in the lake. He thought he might choose to specialize. After all, learning how to train different types involved different techniques, which slowed the progress of both a trainer and of their pokemon. 'To be a Jack of all trades, or a master of one?'

Once the words left his mouth, Omar pursed his lips awkwardly. After a moment, he answered, "Umm, I don't want you to die. You can, but don't go very deep, or you'll get killed, and I don't wanna get wet, so I won't save you."

So Ors jumped in the water, swimming down until he reached the first pokemon, a Shellder. Cloyster was a great pokemon in water, but outside of it? Less so.

Goldeen and Magikarp? Hell no!

Finally, when he could almost see the floor, he came across the subjects he wanted to see.

'That's a whole lotta fuck no!' Ors screamed into his head, rushing back to the surface. As he climbed back into the cave, he kept whispering to himself "Fuck that, fuck no, hell no..." only to receive hysterical laughter from his host.

At least Omar had the decency to apologize, "Sorry, but you reacted the exact same way Vat did the first time he went down."

"Tch, could have warned me they were that strong."

"I literally did," Omar deadpanned.

Completely ignoring the comment, Ors asked, "Ah. Anyway, what did you want to talk about anyways?"

"Just wanted to let you know that by using a special stone, you can evolve a Poliwhirl into a further form called Poliwrath." Ors would have spat his drink if he had one, jaw dropped to the floor.

"What? It's an open secret amongst trainers that the League knows methods to evolve certain pokemon further than the publicly accepted limit. I watched a replay of your battle. You and the Poliwag are going to go a long way, and I don't want my little brother's rival to have his growth stunted."

"Rival? When did we become rivals? I only came to ask about his pokemon."

"No, I figured. Everyone wants a ch-Abomination after seeing that fight."

"Don't misunderstand, I don't want one. I want to know how he trained it to help me with training."

A smirk adorned Omar's face as he shook his head. "Asking the right questions, I see. I was right about you. Brother, you were right about this one."

Vatira walked down from a hallway that Ors somehow hadn't noticed. "Told you, but you just had to waste both of our time and test him. Can I just do it now?"

"Whatever little bro. You're the Vice Leader, not me."

Gleefully, the new arrival pulled out his phone and sent a quick message. "Ok, Ors. I have a proposition for you. I want you to build a team with me, Omar, and a friend of ours named Giovanni, from Veridian City. We call it Team Rocket. The goal can be summed up in a few sentences, each with an important meaning.

To protect the world from devastation. We yearn to replace the Alliance League as the head party of Kanto to prevent the rampant corruption and cronyism that threaten to destroy this world.

To unite all peoples within our nation. Everyone is divided, and though in times of peace, this could be permissible, In a place of war, it is not.

To denounce the evils of truth and love. What is true is not what truly matters, because ideals are what shape this world and its people, and love merely blinds us.

To extend our reach to the stars above. Only through absolute power can we challenge the champion Lance to change this country and help its people.

While there aren't any benefits outside of our knowledge at the moment, this is perfectly legal political action, and we're sure to make this an even stronger organization with more support from the people!

I think I've talked at you enough. If you're interested, I can explain more, though."

After an incessant introduction, Vatira finally finished. Ors' mind was nearly blank in comparison. 'Did I just get invited to be a cofounder of Team Fucking Rocket?'
