Chapter 20: The legendary Dragon

Luc: "You can start now." 

Autumn: 'Alright, let's see what we have here.' 

Autumn didn't rush to do and finish the written exams and take his time to first look through every question and the first thing he noticed was the huge difference in the question that was asked in the competition and on the paper that was in front of him. The difference in difficulty was like the difference in sky and land but Autumn was unfazed by this and thought that these questions were quite easy. The questions included some MCQs ranging from intermediate to advance, Questions and Answers, Some facts writing and even some equations. It was difficult, to be honest, it was difficult for anyone of a young age to do these because they were at least senior college level some even University level. 

Autumn: 'Alright, let's begin.' 

Autumn picked up his pen and started to breeze through the questions just like how he had done in the competition, this caused some people to twitch their eyebrows but they kept quiet. Autumn finished the MCQs within 10 minutes because there were up to 45 of them some needed time to figure out by doing equations. He then moved on to Question and Answers which took him 50 minutes to finish then towards the facts which took him 15 minutes and finally the hardest of them the equations which took him 45 minutes, total it took him 2 hrs to finish the paper, this caused a surprise in the crowd because it was an amazing feat to even attempt the question moreover finish the paper but the important thing is whether the person passed or not. 

Luc: "Let's wait for the results now. Autumn while the answers are being checked would you like to proceed to the next sequence." 

Autumn: " Nope" 

Luc: " Then would please wait until the results are out." 

Autumn: "Nah I am thinking of going outside." 

This caused the crowd to raise a brow. They weren't expecting to hear that, they then began to doubt Autumn whether he was just acting tough up until now and after finishing the exam was now rethinking his choice. 

" Did he give up?" 

" Was this guy just acting tough before?" 

" looks like it's over for him." 

Luc: " Are you perhaps trying to say that you give-." 

Autumn: "I am hungry so I was thinking of going out for a while to eat while the answers are being checked." 

Everyone: 'Bruh' 

Autumn: "By the way what were you trying to say just now I didn't hear you?" 

This caused Luc to twitch his eyes but he just sighed. 

Luc: *Sigh "Well I guess it's a good time to take a break while the answers are being checked. Ladies and gentlemen, I think it's a good time to take a break now so, please go and get some fresh air." 

After this, the crowd started to disperse it was about time that everyone get something to eat. Autumn also was going to find a restaurant until he saw Cynthia and decided to ask whether she wants to join him, Cynthia also noticed Autumn looking toward him. 

Autumn: "I was thinking of getting lunch. Care to join me?" 

Cynthia: *nods "Okay." 

Autumn and Cynthia were about to go and search for a place to eat when suddenly a voice called out from behind. 

Sonia: "There you are. I was looking for you." 

It was Sonia she was coming towards Autumn and Cynthia but there was also another person with her. 

Autumn: "Oh Sonia and Leon." 

Sonia didn't say anything but continued to move toward Autumn which caused him to be a little uncomfortable with the way she was acting and as soon as she was in front of him, she grabbed his shoulders and started to shake him violently. 

Sonia: "What were you thinking? Why did decide to take the test you do know that it's not easy to pass that test." 

Autumn: "Sonia can you please stop I have a good explanation for that." 

Sonia: " Oh really and what is that?" 

Autumn: "I just wanted to try something new that's all." 

Autumn replied in a calm tone with a smile but this caused Sonia to almost vomit blood. She didn't know what her little friend was thinking. At first, she felt that Autumn was humble and a polite kid not arrogant or an overconfident kid but after hearing the answer she almost thought that he was an idiot. Who in their right minds will try to touch the fire because they want to experience something new. 

Leon: "Now Now calm down. I think Autumn has a plan for this." 

Sonia: "How am I supposed to calm down, he is attempting a very difficult test that is not easy to pass." 

Leon: "Just believe in him." 

Sonia: "Oh so you believe in him." 

Leon: "I mean yeah." 

Sonia: "Why?" 

Leon: "By the tone of his voice." 

Sonia: "And you believe him just because the way he spoke was convincing enough." 

Leon: "Yes" 

Sonia: *Sigh "Oh my god." 

Autumn: "By the way, can I ask you guys something?" 

Both Leon and Sonia looked at Autumn. 

Autumn: "Did you guys have lunch yet?" 

Leon & Sonia: "No" 

Autumn then looked toward Cynthia and asked. 

Autumn: "Do you mind if they join us?" 

Cynthia: " I am okay with it." 

Autumn: "How about we all go together for lunch?" 

Leon: "Sounds like a good idea. Let's go" 

Sonia: "Fine I am also quite hungry." 

After that, they all went to a nearby restaurant to eat and after that, they went back to the building it was about time the result was out. 

Luc: "Okay sorry for the wait and the results are..." 

[420/500]

(A/N: Hmm) 

Luc: " Autumn did it he passed the written exams with a great score." 

"Omg, he did it." 

"Are you serious?" 

"Amazing" 

The crowd started to get rowdy and started to cheer for Autumn. Most of them didn't expect him to be able to do that but he achieved a high score. 

Luc: "Truly unbelievable but now the test isn't over yet. The next test is a practical one you will have to check up on an injured Pokemon find what is wrong and treat its injury." 

Autumn: 'Should I use Aura? Nah it would be a problem if by any chance someone sees it.' 

Autumn: "So which Pokemon will I be diagnosing." 

Luc: "It is right here." 

Luc took out a Pokeball and pressed the button on it, a Pokemon soon came out of the ball and it was a Rookide. It seems to be suffering from an injury in its wings but Autumn had a slight urge that that was not the only case.

Luc: "You have to diagnose this injured Rookide. You have 20 minutes." 

Autumn didn't immediately start the first slowly touched Rookide and let it feel comfortable around Autumn first. The Rookide also felt no malicious intent from Autumn so it started to slowly get comfortable around Autumn. The examiners watching beside also couldn't help but nod their heads in approval. You gotta let the Pokemon calm down so it won't try to protest while you are treating its injury. Autumn thought that now the Pokemon was comfortable so he started doing something which raised a brow from the examiners and Sonia. 

Sonia: "What is he doing?" 

Cynthia: "Is something wrong Miss Sonia?" 

Sonia: " Sonia is fine Cynthia. You see he is trying to check the veins but why would he do that. The Pokemon doesn't seem to have a clogged-up area or anything unless there is one but it's impossible to see with naked eyes." 

Autumn: 'I am glad that you taught me this Lynx.' 

[Flashback(Previous life)] 

Autumn: "So this is how the acupuncture points and vascular system work interesting. This book says a lot about our body and how it works." 

Lynx: "Yeah, it's quite fascinating and amazing how our body works. We don't have complete control of our body but still, all the parts work normally." 

Autumn: " But are you sure teaching me about this? This is one of your family's secret arts. The [Trace] technique, this technique is worthy to be called a limit tier art this is not something you can buy in the auction or anything." 

Different techniques and arts are distributed into different ranks such as: 

Trainee 

Scholar 

Intermediate 

Advanced 

Master 

Limit 

Trainee being the lowest and Limit being the highest and Limit tiers are treated as the greatest treasure in any place in the Aura World. They were called limit tier because these techniques were very limited in number and also there were only a limited number of people who could use these techniques and art. 

Lynx: "It is currently war so it's better to have more than one hidden cards who knows this might be useful in the future." 

Autumn: "Thank You." 

Lynx: "Don't mention it." 

[Flashback ends.] 

Autumn: 'Lynx or Lynx Kesar was my best friend and also the patriarch of the Kesar family which was known as the assassin family, I once help their family so I was a benefactor of their family so I was given various techniques and arts as a thank you. At first, I was a little hesitant to accept all of them because any secret techniques and arts of any family are guarded heavily and the family will go to war if anyone tried to steal them. It was only later they told me that they want my cooperation and trust during the war which I agreed on and only then did I accept the technique because I didn't need to be a part of the Kesar family and I also got myself a strong ally.' 

Autumn: 'Oh there it is, this little fellow seems to have a jam in one of his sub veins which made him injure his wing probably because it was hit by something in that area and fell from the sky. Okay, all I have to do is just apply some pressure slowly and done.' 

The Rookide seem to notice the area where it felt its blood stagnant started to move again and looked at Autumn. Autumn had his usual normal expression or poker face. He then started to apply treatment to his injuries after sometimes Autumn was done. 

Autumn: " Okay I am done." 

Luc nodded at Autumn then looked at the examiners and gestured them to take a look. The examiners then started to see how well the treatment went and gave a nod to Luc indicating that Autumn passed the second challenge. 

Luc: "You passed" 

[Crowd cheers] 

Luc: "Alright now it's time for you to take on the final challenge, *a deep breath, this challenge is much harder than the previous two because this challenge would require you to calm down a random beserk Pokemon." 

[Crowd noises] 

The crowd now became concerned, it was not a joke when one had to calm down a berserk Pokemon it was a dangerous thing to do, people were even more concerned about Autumn because he was still a kid maybe about 9 and a half but they would be surprised if they know he was only 6and a half. Luc then draws out a random Pokeball from a box. 

Autumn: 'So it also is a challenge about luck huh.' 

This last challenge was also about luck because it also tested a trainer's luck. If your luck was good then you might get a weak Pokemon you can easily subdue otherwise if you happen to get a strong Pokemon then it might be more difficult for them to be able to calm them down which can result in them failing the challenge. Luc pressed the button on the Pokeball and then a Pokemon came out from the ball it was a... 

"Haxorus" 

It was a Haxorus now the crowd was more concerned than ever, it was a dragon type furthermore a strong dragon type. It was a Haxorus a Pokemon from the  Unova region. It seemed to be agitated and was looking around with wariness. It then looked at the Autumn he was about to charge at him but stopped midway. He was getting an unknown feeling he wondered why but he didn't feel like the human in front of him is his enemy. 

Autumn: 'A Dragon type, I guess my luck ain't that bad after all. If it's the dragon type then I am an expert at handling them, to be honest, it reminds me of that giant dragon fellow.' 

Autumn slowly moved toward Haxorus, he didn't carry any malicious intent so Haxorus also didn't stop him at first but when he was almost too close. 

"Haxorrr" 

He growled to show that he doesn't want Autumn to get any closer, Autumn then stopped which caused Haxorus to also calm down a little but the next instant Autumn dashed towards Haxorus which was a surprise to both Haxorus and the people who were watching. autumn closed in the distance quickly and started to touch Haxorus around its neck as if he was looking for something meanwhile Haxorus snapped back to his sense after a momentary daze and raised its tusk to attack Autumn. Luc seeing this become horrified and was about to recall but something unimaginable happened. Haxorus who was almost close to attacking Autumn stopped and slowly calm down and started wagging its tail. The crowd became silent for a moment before going into an uproar. 

"What happened?" 

"The Haxorus calmed down." 

"How did he do it?" 

The Haxorus had calmed down thanks to Autumn rubbing some area around his neck. Some dragons feel good when you rub some areas around their neck, it helps them relax and makes them drowsy.

Luc: "Umm I think he passed right?" 

Luc looked at the examiner who nodded their heads while still in a daze, they were sure that Autumn would get hurt but he managed to pass even in an unfavourable condition (actually it was favourable).  

Luc: "Okay, Ladies and gentlemen, today we have seen history being made. Autumn Oak from pallet Town had done the impossible. He passed the trial. Let's give him a round of applause. 

[Crowd cheer] 

Luc: " Autumn would you mind telling us how to mind you managed to calm down Haxorus. I think the whole audience is quite curious." 

After Luc said that the Audience became quiet they also wanted to know how he managed to do it. Autumn also wasn't that secretive about this matter and replied calmly. 

Autumn: "Oh back in my hometown I used to look after some Pokemon though there were not many dragon types there were a few of them and they always loved it when I gently scratch some areas around their neck." 

Autumn calmly said this caused people to have new information about Dragon types it seems they love getting a nice gentle scratch around their neck. Luc nodded after hearing that and gave Autumn a small device. 

Luc: "Here this works as an id for Professors you can register yourself in any place and at any time." 

Autumn: "Thank you." 

After that Autumn felt someone nudging his shoulder it was the Haxorus he seem to like Autumn. Autumn also gave it a gentle pat. This reminded him of a certain Pokemon he used to have. 

Autumn: 'I wonder how that legendary dragon of mine is doing. My best guess would be it's sleeping and being lazy like how it usually is.' 

[Aura World (Previous world)] 

Somewhere in the Arctic regions... 

There was s huge ice cave in a barren location nobody dared to come close to this place because there were discharges of electricity near the entrance and both People and Pokemon knew whose territory this was which made them scared because a legendary Pokemon was sleeping in this area. 

Inside the cave, a huge dragon was sleeping. It was an armless, bipedal, golden and yellowish-scaled dragon with three heads, two wings in the shape of fans to fly and two tails. It had a huge body size of a skyscraper and when it unfolds its wings it could even cover a small city. The giant dragon felt something and opened its eyes it was a fiery red coloured eye. Anyone who stared into its eyes become paralysed due to fear. It had a name which was well known by everyone in the world. The legendary Pokemon was a dragon and electric type that had the title of the king of dragons whose name was Ghidorah.

Ghidorah: 'Master'
