Werewolf after werewolf fell dead to the ground. At this point, it was only a grinding process. Being a game made it a lot easier to land headshots, thereafter his efficiency increased exponentially.

In a little more than an hour, Gorn managed to kill twenty monsters. Killing a werewolf without his energy bullet was impossible.

"The decision to sacrifice a few days and find the blue gem was the right thing to do."

A smile crept up on his face. While waiting for his energy to replenish Gorn stretched his body, ate something, went to the bathroom, and also did other miscellaneous actions.

"Efficiency is at the maximum level."

Another red orb of power was soon discovered.

"Having more energy would be great, however, if my life is in danger in a real-life situation, this energy bullet is actually not that useful."

The energy bullet was a perfect tool for farming monsters, but if for example, the building collapsed or a drunk driver lost control of his car, or any other similar scenario happened and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, the energy bullet could not save him.

"If I cannot deal with a situation, I need to be able to run as fast as possible."

There was no shame in running, and Gorn considered it part of a strategy.

"Nevertheless, there must not be too big of a gap between my stats."

It wasn't that useful if he could reach a high speed, but not being able to sustain that speed for a decent amount of time.

"I don't know if the drop rate is higher because the monsters are stronger, or my luck is really good recently."

Gorn was in a great mood. Without wasting any minute, he continued his hunting. Time slowly passed without any big events happening inside his room.

After another half an hour Gorn closed his laptop and decided to take a rest. The days were used at the maximum. Even if that wasn't his limit, overexerting himself was not something that he desired at this point.

"Before using the power-up potion I want to check a few more things. In case of an emergency, I can drink it in a matter of seconds so it shouldn't be that bad delaying a little."

Taking the remote Gorn opened the TV for a few moments.

Another dungeon exploded! It is the third one this month. The situation seems to get worse by the day.

Changing a few more posts Gorn frowned: "More dungeons appear, and more explode, causing a great number of casualties. The future is getting more and more unpredictable."

Putting everything on the back of his mind Gorn went to sleep. When he woke up, a new strategy was developed.

"While hunting I will also explore this forest."

During the next few days, he did just that.

"I'm not receiving any other mission, and what is with this huge chasm ahead?"

No other new enemies were found, furthermore, Gorn came across a huge chasm. The only way of passing was getting over it. Since he could not fly, his remaining option was to jump.

"No way I can make it across."

There wasn't any need to try, just looking was enough to get to the conclusion that his stats were not enough to make it.
No one disturbed him. That coupled with his plenty of food reserves Gorn gamed in peace day after day. He was getting stronger and stronger at a steady pace.

After approximately one month of hardcore gaming, Gorn stopped.

"I...I'm stuck!"

Keeping the potion for later was a good choice. Gathering all his power Gorn started to run.

"Now jump!"

Pushing with all his might Gorn flew across what seemed to be a hole without a bottom. The other side of the forest was in sight.

So close but yet so far. There was still some distance to the other side. Respawning at the starting point Gorn let out a sigh.

"Yep, I'm stuck!"

No matter what he did he could not reach the other side of the forest. He searched every inch he could get access to, but it was all futile. The red orbs could not increase his stats above thirty, and other powerful ones were nowhere to be found. As for items, he already had the best that could drop. Regarding missions, none were received.

"Now what?"
