I woke up feeling slightly different. I stood on my bat feet and took in my grey surroundings.

I vaguely remember being poisoned and Evilyn saying something about Evolving. What on Earth is going on? And what is Evolution?

 

Evilyn: [Evolution is a means to grow stronger, the more the host kills and eats its prey, the stronger the host becomes.]

 

I gaped at such a unique ability. I'm starting to think I was not in my world anymore.

Things live giant spiders, skills, and evolving, what kind of place did I fall into?

 

Evilyn: [This is Gemda, a world that exists in a famous Otome Game known as Aborda.]

 

Did Evilyn just say Aborda? As in that famous otome game known for its genre in romantic fantasy? That Aborda?

 

Evilyn: [That is correct.]

 

I couldn't believe it, to think it was something like that. Now that I know, I should now find out about this strange-looking game screen floating here.

Could I be hallucinating due to the poison getting to my brain?

 

Evilyn: [Negative. The host can see the Status. The host can now view a basic profile of the level and abilities given. Does the host wish to view the status? If so the host needs to call out View Status.]

 

I nodded and called out View Status just as Evilyn instructed.

(Newly Acquired!) Poison Resistance - L1: Gained after consuming high levels of poison from a certain enemy, all poison effects are completely nullified. 

(Newly Acquired!) Web Evasion - L1: Webs are no longer an issue, the host will no longer get caught in them!

(Newly Acquired!) Day or Night skill - L1: normally a nocturnal mammal, the host no longer has to sleep during the day, you can become sleep deprived if a sleeping schedule is not set.

I have to admit that it was good to be able to see my stats like this. Not only did I gain two titles, but also two skills. They're quite useful.

I should head back, I'm sure the other bats are wondering about my whereabouts, is what I thought.

When I returned there were no signs of panic, instead, all the bats seemed to be completely ignoring my presence.

I first found out that I died and became a bat, then I learned that it was possible to evolve, I think my mind is stronger than normal.

I wonder why this fact never bothered me.

Okay, I get it now. Because I chose to suck the spider dry I gained the poison resistance skill, if I had eaten the whole spider I may have gained a new appearance. 

I should remember this in the future. I rather not go back, I'll have to remember to do both if I want to survive and grow.

I was in a world where the strong succeed and the weak die, in that type of world I shouldn't let my guard down.

Since magic existed, I should also eat monsters with the ability to use this magic. 

But first, I'll have to leave the cave. 

 

Deep in the forest, a group of orcs is gathered. Their main goal was to find females to grow their clan, and right now they were heading home with a load of female elves.

Somewhere in the forest was their hideout, it was a small village because they lacked the females to make it bigger. 

The Chief Orc that headed the Orc Village, which they named Igark Village, sat on a throne made of sticks and stone. 

It was this Chief Orc's strong selfish behavior that caused the Orc Village to remain small. Every time the orcs brought in more females, the Orc Chief used them for himself.

The female elves are raped and then killed before they're able to give birth. Due to this, the orcs have been on the verge of extinction.

Because the Chief Orc had a special skill, the regular orcs had no other choice but to wait for their impending doom.

 

I left the cave a while ago and had been flying through a thick forest until I reached an opening. I was now hanging from a nearby tree gazing upon a commotion below.

I knew these monsters from playing the game, they were known as Orcs. And right now these orcs seemed to be taking those elves somewhere.

If that was so, doesn't this mean there's an orc village in this forest? I found myself drooling at the thought of eating pig, wouldn't the meat taste good?

They're moving forward, let's follow them. 

I swooped into the sky and followed the orcs to a village that was East of the cave I came from. It wasn't that much further from the cave itself.

I followed one of the Orcs that had an elf on its shoulder. The orc seemed to be heading to that oval-shaped building in the middle of the village.

I landed on the window and peered inside, the first thing I saw was an Orc almost half the size of the building itself.

 

Evilyn: [Detected a dangerous enemy known as Orc Chief. If the host eats this being then the host can go through another evolution.]

 

Orcs are known to be strong monsters, but they were only good for being a higher monster's minion. They cannot think for themselves. But there are times an Orc Chief is made due to evolution.

Orc Chiefs are much stronger than a regular orc, while they are still stupid, they can lead a small orc army if need be.

Not only that, Orc Chiefs have stronger hides, and this one was quite huge, so I'm certain he'll be a great meal to have.

Alright! It's decided, I'll eat that orc and evolve!
