Chapter 8: A harsh conversation

(Louis' side)

After telling her skills, something unexpected happened.

[Conditions have been met. The host which are partner with you, a completely different intelligent creature, gained the skill  'Partner'.]

She is as puzzled as I do as she tried 'Status'.

Let's see what this 'partner skill does!

"Inspect 'partner'."

[The skill 'partner' is used when two living things with intelligence interact with each other and talk for at least a day and is on good terms. There are different use for it.

1. You can talk to your 'partner' whenever and wherever it is even in another dimension or universe.

2. You can see all its stats and status.

3. You can see its current form and original form whenever and wherever you are.

4. You will be informed when and where it's dead.

5. If you are on good terms with it in its lifetime, you and it can revive you from death, teleport to it in another dimension to live with it, or fuse with it.

Of course, if you betray each other, you will receive a heavy punishment. It will be the same whatever you do.]

That means we can't betray each other. I can trust her more.

'H...hey.' She said.

"Guess we are partners from now on!"

'Why do you sound so cheerful?'

I still didn't forget what I want to try with the new skill partner. I stupidly said this:

This is the biggest mistake of my life, or should I say this life. A female body suddenly appeared in front of me, as for the 'current form' description, there was no error. She was naked.

"Ahh!" I screamed.

'What happened?' She asked quickly.

"N...nothing! I saw absolutely nothing!"

'What did you do? Did you see something you shouldn't?' She asked more curiously.

After some hesitations, I said this:

"Sorry... I saw the current form of my partner, but there was something unexpected..."

'What can be so unexpected that can make you scream?'

"You were naked..."

After I said that, her heart bumped fast, really fast.

'You bastard! You really shouldn't do this. Now I'm determined to take you out!' She screamed.

"I said sorry!"

'No use!'

"Just eat your ice cream and get over it!"

'Oh yeah... I still have ice cream... I'll deal with you later parasite!'

She enjoyed her ice cream while reading her novel. I don't know how much time passed since I died, but I know that there are 5 new books since I read my last novel. After reading several chapters, she suddenly closed.

"What? Why? That was the most exciting part! Why you closed it?"

'Think a way of revenge of seeing me naked.'

"No fair! That was only an accident!"

'It's quite late... Let's rest first.'

"Yes. Let's go sleep."

[Space share is a skill where you should have your first harsh conversation and made it up before the conversation ends. It has many uses.

1. Share 10 times 10 times 10 meters cubic room. It can grow if you upgrade the skill.

2. Time doesn't exist in the room.

3. You can bring physical or non-physical objects to your space and you can interact with them. It's like a storage skill.

4. As it's a created space, it's difficult to interact with it. No one except your partner can enter and get out of the space as well.

5. If you upgrade the space to the max, even god can't interact with the space and cannot do anything.]

That's interesting... Let's try it shall we?

"Space share!"

Suddenly, a black mist wrapped me and I got teleported into a room with white walls. There is no light in the room, but looked lighten by something.

I guess it's magic. Now, I know that I can escape easily whenever I want if I get myself into pity. I got out after a minute or two because there is nothing in there and it was not as if I need something in there right now.

Now, I'm back in Sarah's body. Since I was a little bit hungry, I drank a little bit of her blood.

"HMM!" That's odd. Why is the blood tasting so good all of a sudden? Oh yeah. I forgot she just ate ice cream before going to bed. Guess I'll be fatter after that.

(Sarah's side)

After we got home, I quickly place the ice cream into the fridge and exhaled.

"The ice cream is safe now..." I muttered. 

The parasite laughed a little bit and got me confused. What it's laughing about?

'Why are you laughing?' I asked

It says because I'm childish. That go me embarrassed. Many classmates and teachers called me childish when I was in university. I will panic about the small stuff and get all relaxed like a kid. It's just my personality and I'm judged by a parasite now?

As I was recalling the past, it suddenly screamed.

'What happened?' I asked curiously.

He was panicked and try to sound as if everything is okay, but there is something wrong. I didn't expect this, but it admitted its mistake.

It just used the skilled partner to see my true form and saw me naked because it's my true form, I got embarrassed again...

'You bastard! You really shouldn't do this. Now I'm determined to take you out!' I screamed.

I'm determined to take it out, but can't find a way for now. Then, it reminds me of my ice cream. Yeah... I almost forgot about that. I quickly got the ice cream out of the fridge and took a book and sat on the sofa. That hit the spot. In a hot summer, reading a light novel while eating cool ice cream and relaxing on the sofa is the best.

Oh yeah. I just remember that. As I was reading the exciting part, I suddenly closed the book. Ha! I want to see how you would react to my vengeance! I know you like to read that kind of stuff, so I'll stop at the exciting part.

"What? Why? That was the most exciting part! Why you closed it?" It said.

'Think a way of revenge of seeing me naked.' Ha! that hit home!

"No fair! That was only an accident!" Yeah. like if I think so.

'It's quite late... Let's rest first.' I suggested.

"Yes. Let's go sleep."

As I prepared to sleep, I received a notification from the system.

[Conditions have been met. You and your partner have gained the skill 'Space share' after your first harsh conversation and made up.]

Oh. A new skill. Whatever, it's best for us to make up because we are partners now and we don't want other harsh conversations.
