"You can?" She asked, taken aback by his sudden offer.
"Of course. If you do not learn to control it, it might become your weakness later." That and the fact that he wanted to spend more time with her and make her stop hating him. He waited for her to think about it, and she made a decision within a few seconds.
"You are right. I should learn to control it and make it my strength instead. Not everyone has special powers." She sounded determined even though she wasn't. She was scared. What kind of training would she have to go through?
Besides, she still thought she would be better off as an ordinary human. "What can I do with fire? Provide it to the world?" She helplessly asked. How the hell would it be of help?
Dairon chuckled at her way of putting it. "I don't know about that. Maybe you can give it a try later but…have you thought of it as a weapon? I don't think it's easy to fight with someone who can simply set you on fire, unless you can counter it."
"Thanks for letting me know." She rubbed her chin as though realization had dawned on her. "Now I think of it as one. If any fish tries to harm me, I will simply roast him."
"Why do I have a feeling that you're talking about me?" He laughed at her antics helplessly
"Because I'm talking about you." She teased.
Although she was teasing him, calling him a fish and threatening to roast him, a smile bloomed on his face. If she was in the mood to tease him, it must mean she didn't hate him so much, right?
"When do we start training?" She curiously asked.
"Tomorrow. While at it, we can seek answers about the source of your powers. Sinos will help with that."
"But he hates me." She averted her gaze when she thought about her brief interaction with Sinos. Although they had only seen each other for a few minutes, it was as though they had been enemies forever.
He reached to pet her head.
"Don't worry about him. He is only being fussy and throwing a tantrum merely because he thinks you will hurt me. When he finds out that you mean no harm, he will come around." He reassured her.
She only felt worse. If that was what Sinos thought, then wasn't he right? She had already hurt him. But if learning how to control it would eliminate the possibility of hurting him again, she was ready to give it a try.
Although it was not official, she felt relieved as though a heavy load had been lifted off her shoulders. When she looked at him, her gaze was tender as she smiled. "Dairon."
"What is it?" He asked gently.
"Thank you." She had the urge to avert her gaze when she saw his deep blue eyes staring back into hers. She blinked and continued looking at him despite her eyes wanting to wander.
"Why are you thanking me?" He finally asked after making her sit on pins for a while.
Now that he asked, she realized that she had never expressed her gratitude to him.
"Thank you for saving my life and offering to help me. Also… thank you for not treating me differently."
Although she did not explain the last part, he comprehended it. She was grateful that he did not freak out when he found out that she was not an ordinary human. While he was surprised at first, it now seemed normal to him.
He tapped her nose.
"Why would I? It doesn't matter who you turn out to be or what you do along the way. Besides, I'm the same as you."
She frowned slightly at his words. "It doesn't matter who you turn out to be or what you do along the way." Where had she heard this phrase before? A thought flashed in her mind but faded before she could grasp it. She gave up and stood. "I'll go to my room now."
Dairon nodded, knowing that he could no longer make excuses to keep her here because she needed rest.
"I will go and find Sinos tomorrow. You will have to spend the day on your own." He announced.
"Okay." She leapt out of the room like she had heard the best news of the year. He watched her with a smile. Was she so happy to be away from him?
"One day, I will make you sad to be away from me." He made a mental promise.

"Rosetta, come here." Jasmine called for the maid the following day. Rosetta rushed over and waited for her orders.
"Are you busy?" Jasmine asked, not wanting to inconvenience her work.
"All I have to do is take care of you—Master Dairon's orders." Rosetta smiled.
"That's great!" Jasmine grabbed her hand and ran to her room to show her the new clothes she had just made.
"A swimsuit?" Rosetta asked when Jasmine gave her one. "We are going swimming?"
"Yes! Grab everything we need." Jasmine was looking forward to it. She tried on her swimsuit and when she ensured that it fit perfectly, freshened up and met Rosetta at the door.
As soon as they arrived at the swimming pool, Jasmine jumped in and enjoyed the feeling of water against her skin.
"This is refreshing! I thought I would be scared of swimming." She was relieved, especially after having heard people talk about the effects of near drowning.
"Milady, how is the human world?" Rosetta asked as she swung her legs in the water.
"I didn't really take a look at anything apart from my home. I'm sorry." She had to disappoint her. Rosetta must be missing her family and hoped to hear the slightest piece of news about them.
"It's alright." Rosetta sighed.
"Do you miss your home?" Jasmine asked in a friendly tone.
"Miss, yeah, I miss them. But it no longer exists. I'm not sad about it anymore." Rosetta smiled. "Let's race our souls out!" She jumped into the water and started racing before they decided on the rules.
"She's just like a child." Jasmine laughed and joined her.
A while later, Rosetta retreated to sit on the platform. "I'm starting to feel cramped. Let me grab some fruits, I'll be back."
Jasmine nodded and the other left, heading towards the dressing room.
If she were in the human world, she would make a model with her beautiful figure.
Jasmine shook the thought out of her head. She was not planning any runway show and neither did she need models for photoshoots. In this realm, everything was different. She hoped she would be able to return to her ordinary life if it was possible.
She felt some movement behind her soon after Rosetta left.
"Hey, Rosetta. I know you're there. Don't sneak up on me." She chuckled. Was she a child?
Before she could call her out, she felt a pair of arms wrap around her body from behind, and her back hit a strong bare chest.
