"Sophie? Sophie!" Harry shook his wife who had spaced out for minutes and didn't seem to see or hear anything.
Having been lost in thought for a while, she was startled when her shoulders were shaken. She forced a smile. "Harry? Did you say anything just now?"
He scrutinized her eyes. "What's going on with you? You look distressed."
She avoided his gaze. "I miss Jasmine. I was thinking about her a moment ago."
While her reason sounded convincing, he took her hand and made her look at him. "I feel like you have been hiding something from me."
"I…" She opened her mouth.
"How long have we been married? It's been decades. That should be long enough for you to know that you can tell me anything." He reminded her. Although he didn't want to pressure her, he was still upset. "Why didn't you tell me that Jasmine was here?"
"You found out…" She looked horrified.
He had only found out because he had found an embroidered handkerchief on the couch. He knew that it was Jasmine's since he had helped her embroider it, and had merely wanted to ask whether Jasmine promised to return soon.
Her reaction caught him off guard. "Was I supposed to be in the dark about it?"
"Husband…" She looked even more panicked.
"What's going on? Whatever it is, we can handle it together." He asked gently, trying not to sound harsh although he was upset.
She felt even guiltier under his gentle gaze. If he found out that Jasmine was not human, how would he react? She was not concerned about how he would treat Jasmine—he would love their daughter no matter who she turned out to be—she was worried about his reaction to the fact that she had hidden it from him all these years.
"I…" She couldn't get the words out no matter how she tried. "I'm sorry. I can't tell you. When the time is right, I will tell you. I promise."
Harry frowned slightly when he looked at her. "I feel like we've had this conversation before."

When Jasmine finished her breakfast, Sinos followed her like a tail. "Do you still need my help training today?"
"Uhm…" She was unsure so she glanced at Dairon.
"You need him. There are places I cannot access but that's just once in a while. Most of the time, I will be your master." Dairon told her.
"What about today?" She asked.
"I will take you for a walk around the academy." He stood to get ready.
"Uhm… what academy?" She asked him curiously when he returned.
"It's where demigods go for training once they are qualified." He checked his sword and returned it to his sheath, making her blink in confusion. Were they going for training or to war?
Just as she thought of possible reasons, he stuffed a sheathed sword and a belt into her hand. "You never know when you will need it."
She awkwardly fastened the belt and fixed the sword onto it. "But I'm not qualified to go to the academy." At least, no one had told her about any qualifications.
"No one will recognize you. They will think you're new." He helped her tie her hair. "Besides, we are going for a walk, not to train so no one will bother with us."
"Okay." She felt her ponytail and thought about how odd she must look in this combination. Shrugging it off, she held Dairon's hand as he prepared to teleport them.
"Sinos, are you coming with us?" She tilted her head to ask the god who was silent the whole time.
Sinos wanted to go too, since he had never been to the academy of demi deities, but he shook his head. "Never mind. I'll go find the materials for you to make me hu… men clothes. What should I find?"
She wanted to suggest the most commonly used materials but she was unsure whether he would get them. "Just find what you can."
"Got it!" Sinos finally bolted away from Dairon's murderous glare.
"Are you ready?" Dairon asked when the latter disappeared.
"Yes."
A flash of light engulfed them, and when she could finally open her eyes, they were in front of a gland castle. When he talked about an academy, a castle was definitely not what she had in mind, let alone such a huge one. It was no exaggeration to say that it could cover an entire town in the human realm.
"Are you nervous?" He felt her hand heating up and asked.
"Will there be other demi deities? To be honest, I don't think I'm ready to meet them." She tilted her head and said.

He squeezed her hand gently. "We might bump into some of them but don't worry. They will treat you well even if they see you."
"How can you be so sure?"
"You are the youngest demi deity. No one dares to bully you." He reassured her.
She still had a strange feeling, but they were already here and she couldn't simply turn back. It was already bad enough that she couldn't do anything with her powers and had grown up as a human. Luckily, they could blame it on her age. She only hoped that they wouldn't despise her.
"Speaking of age… if demi deities are only born during the Lunar Symetoch, doesn't that mean that there is at least two hundred years of age difference between any two demi deities?" She found it rather odd.
He laughed at her train of thought. "Two hundred years is actually a narrow gap. Don't think of them as humans."
She nodded and looked at his side profile, wondering how old he was.
Reading her mind, he was glad that she didn't ask. Otherwise, she would definitely freak out.
He felt her tense up when he led her to walk down the long path leading to the entrance of the castle.
"Is everything alright?" He asked.
"This path feels familiar." She looked around.
"It probably is." A smile formed on his face. He had chosen the academy after listening to her dream. The main reason was because if the gods took her in the past, they would definitely bring her here for training. He hoped for her to regain her memory but didn't plan to force it on her.
As they walked through the halls, she looked on both sides and slowed down, touching the portraits.
"What are these?" She asked.
"Portraits of all the demi deities who have trained here before." He waited to see if she would recognize any of them, but she pointed out as his instead.
"That's you. You were so cute!" Her eyes brightened up. In the portrait, Dairon looked like a boy in his early teens. Although his hair was all over his face, his striking features made her stare for much longer. "Gee, if I were the sea, I would fall in love with you."
He smiled at her compliment. "Really? But I don't want water to fall in love with me. I want you to fall in love with me."
"Don't play around." She pushed him away after being teased.
"Demigods are so handsome. All my designs would sell if they were to be my models." She flashed her eyes across them. Were they posing for magazine covers?
"What's a model?" He asked curiously.
She glanced at him and bit her lip. "Never mind."
Her heart accelerated when she saw the little girl from her dream. This should be her, but she frowned at the name on the frame. "Gessamine?"
He laughed teasingly. "When I called you Gessamine before, you chewed me out."
"Why would they use a variation of my name?" Whatever their reason was, she frowned. "I still want to be called Jasmine, thanks."
He took a closer look at the portrait. "If you ask me, you don't look very similar. But she is adorable."
"She's intimidating." Jasmine almost backed away even though it was just a lifeless painting.
"This is the first time I'm seeing someone intimidated by their own past look." He was amused.
"Did you know me before?" She asked.
"No. I was in the human realm." He held her waist from behind. "But I was fated to know you."
"What do you mean?" She pulled out of his arms when she felt a jolt.
"I don't know how you became a human but you are back. It means we are fated, don't you think?" He smiled at her.
"Why aren't there any gods?" She asked out of the blue.
"This is an academy for demi deities." He answered. "You are trying to evade the topic, and doing a horrible job at it."
"I'm not…" She stopped speaking when the portrait labelled Gessamine glowed.
"Gessamine, get back here!" She heard a familiar voice in her head, before a faint image slowly formed before her. It was Blaze, and he looked like he was about to lose his mind.
Instead of obeying him, the little demigoddess threw her scepter on the floor with fiery rage in her eyes. "No! I want to go home! Since you loathe me so much, why do you still keep me here against my will?"
