The moment he finished speaking, the system displayed complete information about the monsters. Although it is very detailed, it is not very useful for him at that moment.

Rei stepped back as the four beast aliens stepped forward closer and closer. Their big, sharp claws curved like daggers and sank deep into the ground when they readied their stance to pounce on him.

When Rei tried to outwit them, one Blakk Valdr turned to the right and left, its tail wagging in a very detailed pattern and gave orders to the other two Blakk Valdr to surround him from all sides. The four of them snarled and let out black mist from their mouth and instantly rotten everything it touches.

He jumped back upon seeing their grotesqueness.

Rei's heart was beating so fast, sweat the size of corn kernels dripped from his forehead. Rei could feel his blood boiling in his body. His breath and pulse raced violently until he realized what was going on with him.

It wasn't fear, but euphoria like never before. It was the feeling he had longed for and the feeling that drove him to become a hunter.

It was the carnage that he always longed for a long time ago.

He looked up and saw the roots hanging from the big and sturdy branches, a brilliant and yet dangerous ideas flashed through his head.

Rei immediately jumped up and climbed the hanging roots to a higher branch with great agility. And within seconds later, the four beasts caught up to him with their six agile legs.

Despite being chased and outnumbered, Rei didn't hesitate to make his way through the interconnected tree trunks that make labyrinth-like paths amidst its lush leaves.

The size of the tree trunks was so big, wide and strong enough to hold their heavy weight at once.

Although, it was quite dark to see. Rei doesn't have any issues running off and outwitting the beasts. He snapped a branch that big and long enough for him to make a makeshift wooden spear. And he also snatched a couple meters of prop roots which were flexible enough so he could use it as a safety rope while ran through the trunks.

He ran and jumped up to the upper floor of the tree where the trunks are getting thinner as they go. And yet, Rei didn't even see the tree's canopy although his breath and stamina was almost depleted.

BRAAK! RAAAAAWWRR!

Rei was surprised when he heard the grueling pain from the beasts below him, he took a glance to his right shoulder and saw one of the beasts was tripped and losing its footing and slipped down tens of meters below and died due to the fall and pin-balling against the tree trunks multiple time and died miserably.

As Rei expected to be, he smirked when the beasts had a hard time catching up with him due to their enormous size.

When Rei climbed up higher, he realized his breath was getting heavier and the fatigued body slowly caught up to him, he had to finish them before he was too exhausted to carry on.

The height that he covered made him dizzy for a second. It was clear that Rei wasn't quite adapted to his new body, gained altitude too rapidly and caused him slight altitude sickness, not to mention there are another three alien-like beasts that were preying on him relentlessly.

Upon the fall of its pack member, the biggest beast out of the four growled to the top of its lungs. The red streaks upon its skins glowed red brightly as it ever could.

With his strong blade-like claw, it jumped up high in the air and zig-zagged from one trunk to another with godly agility. Rei never seen something like that before, although he experienced similar things on Earth by observing big-cat species like panthers and tigers. That beast was already in a whole different league.

"Tsk! Why are these beasts so persistent!" cursed Rei.

His legs were sore, his palm felt like having a third degree burn by non-stop climbing the prop roots with bare hands.

The biggest beast closing in at high speed, its springy three jointed hind legs were able to cover a big distance with just one jump.

Rei knew it was pointless to just run away from it. He readied his makeshift wooden lance. He waited for the perfect moment when the beast was in midair and launched himself onto it.

"Eat this!!!"

With his precise innate skill, Rei impaled the beast with his wooden lance right into its mouth and went full deep to its throat. He carried on the momentum and shouted like a mad man.

Zraaak! Zraaak! Zraak!

Upon their fall through the leaves and branches, the other two beasts followed them down, their jaws wide open in Rei's back, their sharp fore claws trying to reach Rei's leg as they kept falling down.

Luckily, Rei's quick witted nature was able to catch up with the events. He lashed out his flexible prop roots into his side and intertwined with other prop roots, he swung sideways and dislocated his shoulder joints due to the immense shifted momentum with just one hand.

He grimaced and let out grueling voices, but he didn't let go of his grip no matter what. Rai was lucky enough that the other two beasts above him almost caught him by an inch. They fell down and met their death by hitting the trunk head first.

"Fyuhh! This world is really something else," Rei muttered when he took a good look at the carnage that just happened below him.

He slowly descended from the prop roots while he scanned his surroundings with just one hand. After he was ensured that the coast was clear, he landed safely onto the ground.

He cautiously approached the beasts carcasses, and make sure that they were already utterly dead.

Rei kicked the biggest beast's head and cursed at it wholeheartedly while saying, "You wretched creature!"

After he kicked its head, the system gave him sudden notification.

Ding!

[You can eat Blakk Valdr's Heart or other creatures' hearts and absorb its Soul!]
