"Steal?" Melanie raised an eyebrow. "Why steal?? When everything in the treasury will be ours, after clearing the dungeon."
It took an extra second for Mark to notice Melanie's presence.
Though it was not his fault, Melanie was unconsciously standing in shadows and was as silent as possible.
She was even donned in black-colored leather equipment from head to toe, which further increased her stealth.
Because her equipment seemed to absorb light itself and made it harder for anyone to see her.
And unlike Mark and Leona, who wore metal armor that made noise even at their breathing, her pieces of armor were made up of beast leather, which let her move without additional noise.
Only her dagger and stiletto were made up of metal. She looked like a combination between a ninja and an assassin.
…Though, the leather armor definitely didn't provide as much defense as metal armor could, Melanie didn't mind. Instead, she seemed quite adamant to sacrifice her safety, if it led to increased stealth.
And after considering the pros and cons of her choice, Mark had to reluctantly agree Melanie was right.
Mark was sure he could have convinced her to wear metal armor, but he didn't want to limit her capabilities because of his selfish concern. So in the end, he reluctantly agreed.
"If we cleared the dungeon, then everything in the treasury will indeed be ours," Mark looked at Melanie. "But mother, do you know the clear condition?"
"To kill the boss monster. Right?" Melanie would have been unable to answer if he had asked the same question just a month ago.
But they had been reading a lot of books after training to increase their knowledge this last month. There, she had read, most dungeons could be cleared simply by killing the boss monster.
"That's correct," Mark's response brought a smile to Melanie's face. Their hard work was paying off. "And since we will die if we fought Chief — the boss monster of this F-grade dungeon — it would be better just to use the mirror and escape from this world."
"Is the Chief that strong?" Eleanor wondered aloud.
Just like others, she was also wearing her new equipment: Light armor with a small dagger on her hip.
Eleanor should have worn a Saintess' robe since she was… well Saintess. But she didn't, because the robe would have restricted her movements in the battle.
Even Catherine was wearing light armor inside her black magician robe and was going to discard the robe before the battle, which made Mark glee inwardly.
"It's not just about strength," Mark told Eleanor. "The Chief has the blood of a demi-god — who was the original guardian of the mirror — coursing through his veins. Making him way more intelligent and powerful than any boss monster at F-level."
They took a sharp breath at hearing him say 'demi-god'. They also didn't want to have anything to do with such a creature.
They were only a little reluctant to steal the mirror and just escape because it would not give them any coins, and they had already seen in this one month how important coins were for their growth.
But they were not going to risk their lives for a few coins. Hence, everyone agreed to follow Mark's plan of escaping with the help of the dimensional mirror.
But it was not so simple. According to Mark, there were always two F-level beasts guarding the treasury. So they had to at least become strong enough to fight such beasts if they wanted to escape.
And leveling up was the most straightforward way to increase their strength... Hence, the hunt began.

It took half an hour for them to reach their destination.

In this last month, they were not just training, but they were also scouting and gathering information. Unsurprisingly, Melanie played a crucial role in it.
"Okay, it definitely is an H-rank Quogoa," Mark said while looking at the two meters tall beast laying in a cave.
The Quogoa's hulking figure was filled with yellowish fur, which for some reason had a metallic sheen, and its claws also looked more like steel than bone.
Even the uneven teeth protruding out of its jaws seemed to be made up of some kind of metal.
Mark gulped.
Though he had already seen Quogoas through the laptop's screen while playing the game, that could never compare to seeing it in the real life.
"Phew, you were right, mother," Mark took a deep breath. "This Quogoa must have eaten some kind of rare metal."
It was Quogoa's racial trait. They could eat any ore to strengthen their bodies, and this H-rank Quogoa seemed to have eaten some kind of rare ore.
"So, are we retreating?" Leona questioned.
"Yeah," Mark said. "There is no need to take any unnecessary risks."
They retreated at his words, and Melanie led them to another lone H-rank Quogoa.
Since all beasts were H-rank at first, and only leveled up after consuming 1000 H-rank cores, young Quogoas seemed the perfect target for his party.
Hence Melanie brought them to the cave of one of such young Quogoa.
It was around 1.8 meters tall and had light yellow fur. Though, its fur and claws didn't look as metallic as the last one.
"Mother, can you scout for any Quogoa with orange or red fur?" Mark looked at Melanie, who nodded in affirmation.
Then, she swiftly merged with shadows.
Finally, after around 15 minutes, Melanie came back and simply shook her head in denial.
"Good," Mark nodded. He didn't want any G or F-rank Quogoa nearby while hunting. "Prepare yourself! We will go with formation Q1."
They had already practiced a bunch of strategies and formations specifically to hunt Quogoas. Formation Q1 was the most straightforward among them.
Everyone tensed at his words, but soon, they took deep breaths to calm down a little.
From the moment, Mark bestowed rare classes upon them, they knew they would have to fight with everything they had.
It was not because they were fond of being a Hero, nor they wanted their names to be written in history.
What they wanted was to live a regular life as regular people as they actually were.
If they had to fight even a demi-god to live as they desired, then they would. And they would make sure to win as well.
