Chapter 18: Episode 17 – Discussing Future Events

"What are we going to do now?" - Alice

"I don't know, what are we talking about anyway?" - Marcio

We are training with each other, while I am training with a sword.

Alice is using something like a mace weapon, even though this type of weapon has a bit of a disadvantage in an interpersonal fight, because of the use of offensive magic, that disadvantage is diminished.

"I'm talking about the game, I saw that you started dealing with the organization" - Alice

Alice's preferred weapon is the bow, due to her means of attack being mostly long range, we are training on how to fight in melee fights.

"I don't know, I'm afraid of changing the future too much" - Marcio

I don't know how she wasn't in the game as a main character, maybe she even was when a male character was chosen to play.

"Now you come to talk about it? After you've already done everything you've done?" - Alice

Maybe she is even one of the main characters I never played the game with a male character with the focus on romance.

When I did, I played only the RPG mode and the rule of a fiefdom.

"You're right, I think the only big event that's about to happen is the monster invasion.

"There's the monster invasion, the case of some nobles affiliated with the organization and the secret of the viscount monster" - Alice

The monster invasion, an event that occurs periodically, the name already explains it. Monsters are created by miasma and the concentration of magic in one place.

"I don't think the dungeons have been created yet" - Márcio

"Actually they have been created, but they haven't developed, we can't solve the cause of the monsters, but we can decrease the threat of the monsters" - Alice

"What are dungeons?" - Max

"I guess people in this world still don't know about them, I thought it was something of general knowledge" - Marcio

"The oracle of the goddess hasn't happened yet, you and your mania of not reading all the dialogues, I'm surprised you know about the organization" - Alice

"How could I not know, they gave me a headache when my fiefdom started to develop" - Marcio

"Don't you guys think it's better to stop fighting and continue the conversation after you put down your weapons?" - Milena

"I agree with her, I still don't know why they keep casting magic in the middle of the conversation" - Max

"Sorry" - Alice and Marcio

We decided to stop training and started talking again.

 "Back to the point, dungeons are a way the gods thought of helping humanity" - Alice

"They exist to collect the miasma of the world and purify it, and to make magic circulate better in the veins of the world.

"Because of this, the monsters will no longer be created on the surface, this doesn't mean that they cease to exist, the monsters that already exist will continue to reproduce normally, but this will occur on a much smaller scale" - Alice

What we are thinking of doing is exterminating some monsters and going to these places and purifying the miasma.

The temples serve as a way to purify the miasma, this prevents monsters from appearing out of nowhere in the cities.

"I think we're going to need some help from our parents" - Alice

"I'll talk to my dad about it, and ask him to talk to your parents" - Marcio

"I think it's time to tell my family about Alice too, but I'm scared, will you join me Max?" - Milena

"Of course I will, you don't have to talk if you don't want to, but if you do and I can help you" - Max

First we went to talk to my father, he questioned how we knew after we explained to him what will happen and said that in the future an oracle will explain better.

He asked what he could do to help, it seems that the monster threat is something that everyone is worried about.

After we explained how to decrease this he said that this will involve more than the two margraves.

Because of this he quickly wrote a letter and sent it to the king.

In it he just said that a way to deal with the monsters had been discovered.

A short time later we were called to the palace.

In the meantime we went to talk to the Eastwood family.

"There is something I need to talk to you about.

"Go ahead honey" - Erick

"I have memories of my past, I never knew how to talk about it before" - Milena

"What do you mean honey?" - Erick

"I have memories of someone who isn't me, because of that sometimes I know things I wouldn't normally know and I behave differently."- Milena

Milena squeezes my hand tightly.

"I was afraid to talk about it and you would think I was crazy, a freak, or that I'm not your daughter.

She started to cry.

"Never my dear, I still don't fully understand what you mean" - Erick

"You will never stop being our daughter, it must have been hard to hold on to that all this time, but rest assured" - Angela

Before I could comfort her, her parents hugged her and stood like that together for a while.

When she calmed down we continued to explain what happened, and some of the future that we know will happen.

"That explains why our shy one day started talking more to the others and sneaking out of the mansion" - Erick

"Did you guys know?" - Milena

"It would be strange if we didn't know what our daughter is doing" - Angela

"What can we do to help?" - Erick

"We already told my father and he sent a letter to the king" - Max

"We need to find a way to explain the king without revealing about it" - Erick

"Honey, why don't we just say it was a divine revelation? The temple won't like that it happened outside of it." - Angela

"A good idea, they might not like it, but they won't be able to do much about it" - Erick

Temples usually have a good relationship with the kingdom, but some people who are part of them have the idea that they are chosen by god and want to use that to control people.

Fortunately, not everyone is like that, and in a way, it is no lie that we received a divine revelation, who could send souls from one world to another and unite them with other people.

We have started to plan how to explain and are training how to deal with the miasma.

Together with the magic squad we have managed to find a holy attribute magic that uses the same concept as the clean magic.

Now we are all practicing how to use this magic.

It is a simple magic, but not everyone can use it, perhaps as a benefit of the two souls, Milena and Max don't have many attributes that they can't use.
