Chapter 19: Audience with the King

Arriving at the palace we were taken to a different place than last time.

We are standing in front of a giant door that is being guarded by two soldiers.

"I announce the arrival of Ricardo Gold, Erick Eastwood and their families" - Guard A

After the arrival announcement, the door opened.

Behind the door is a hall full of nobles and guards on each side of the hall, in the middle a red carpet that starts at the door and ends at a raised platform where the king is seated.

Making use of his speed Max manages to knock out 2 more.

While defending from the muggers' attack, Erick and Ricardo appear, the remnants of the muggers were quickly knocked out.

Why knock out and not kill? To extract information of course.

The guards arrive and take them away for questioning, and the information obtained will be shared with us and the pope.

The temple will take care of the rest, but this is a way of doing them a favor.

Kind of anticlimactic, however when it was discussed how to explain to the king and the things we know about the world through the game, it was already imagined that this might happen.

The fight looks easy, but this is just the fruits of someone's efforts who is part of a family that has been protecting the kingdom for generations and has leveled up by exterminating monsters.

On the way home, a store catches Milena's attention, it has several monsters locked in cages, some cute, some wild, and some weird.

Monsters besides causing harm to humanity, they can also be used for other purposes.

We went into the store to see what they had, while looking, a black wolf puppy attached itself to me.

The black wolf cub is male and the white wolf cub is female.

We found out while we were playing with them.
