The spell named Type, was the most used, and well known spell to determine a person's types in magic. But, it was also a spell that was a little dangerous to use, especially on young children like Matthew.

Still, if they didn't use it at the moment, they couldn't really figure out the best way to train Matthew. Before Micheal, his magic tutor, started casting the spell, he said, "If we take it that you only have three attributes in magic, like most people do, what do you think your other types would be?".

This question was a test to see if Matthew had memorized the symbol of the Eight Edge Star or not, since he had taken the notebook with him. And so, Matthew had to rely on his memory to answer.

Matthew smiled, as he said, "I have memorized the symbol, if we say that Fire, is my main type, then my other two types of magic would be, Earth, and Air! But, if we say that Fire is only a secondary type of mine, then, there are two options to choose from, one saying that Earth, is my main type, and so, I would be like you, teacher!".

"Then, my other magic type would be Ice! Or, if we take the other option, then, I would have Air as my main magic type, and Darkness as my other secondary type!". With that, Matthew had finished his response, and waited for his teacher to speak.

Micheal clapped his hands loudly, as he said, a smile covering his face, "Very good! Wow! Are you really just seven years old? That's right, those are the choices you would have, but that's only if you have three magic attributes like most people do, since the rule changes for more than three, I will teach you those rules sometime later, because now, let us start!".

With that, Micheal closed his eyes, and raised his two hands in the air, just with that simple gesture, all the One Power around him, started flying toward his two hands, and transforming into two giant balls of blue, invisible - For people that don't see the One Power - power.

Matthew was a little shocked, since this was the first time he got to see a Mage cast a spell in front of him, and not just cast one in the blink of an eye, to where Matthew couldn't even see how the spell was cast, like the bastard Magicians from the Black Tower, but, instead, casting a spell that took some time, and allowed little Matthew to see exactly what was happening!

'Wow! So much of the One Power is gathering at the tip of his fingers, this is just... too much! What is this spell called Type, and why did teacher say that it hurts? How bad does it hurt? Hopefully not too much!'. Thought the seven-year-old boy as he watched in amazement.

The One Power that had gathered in Micheal's two hands, started merging together above his head, and turning into a star shaped shape, the star was an eight edge star, just like the one he had drawn for Matthew a few minutes before.

Matthew couldn't believe what he was seeing. The star appeared only to those who could see the One Power, and since Robert, the man in normal clothes was watching, he too, was very shocked by this sight.

'So this is how Magicians figure out their types in magic, han?', thought Robert, as he watched from the second floor of the orphanage, from an open window. He didn't know much about magic, and how it worked, but he still knew a bit, and it seemed like he too, was being taught by Micheal. The giant star, slowly turned toward Matthew, and its points looked as sharp as a blade, as they shined in the rays of the sun.

Matthew started getting scared, as he thought the following, 'Wait, don't tell me that...', but, before he could continue that thread of thinking, he was cut off by what happened to him next.

One of the edges of the pointy giant star, suddenly dispersed from the star, and flew toward where Matthew was, then, it struck Matthew's right arm, and blood started dripping on the ground.

Matthew screamed in terror, but, before he could do anything, a second, and a third, edges of the star, did the same thing. And with that, Matthew felt a lot of pain, as he had three injuries on his right arm at the moment.

This also, was the end of this spell, as, soon after that, the star disappeared, and Micheal stopped drawing the One Power to himself. He then, without waiting, ran to Matthew, and gripped his right arm, which hurt the little boy a little.

Micheal looked at the three fresh cuts on the little boy's arm, and then sighed a little, as he let go of Matthew's right arm, and said, a little disappointed, "It seems you only have three magic attributes, like pretty much everyone else!".

He then continued, and said, "Air is your main type, then there is Fire, and Darkness as your secondary types of magic!". Matthew looked at the cuts on his arm, and thought, 'How did he know? The cuts look normal to me?'.

Micheal then looked at the blood that was dripping from Matthew's right arm, and produced a small potion, it had blue liquid inside. He stretched his hand, with the potion toward the young boy, before he said, "This is a healing potion, you should be familiar with it, this one cost me 10 gold coins! But, since you will be my student from now on, use it to heal yourself!".

Matthew wanted to say, "I can pay you for it", since he had received 25 gold coins from Rosin, after she had lost a bet against him. But, he decided to keep silent about that matter, instead, he gave a small bow, as he said, "Thank you teacher!".

He then took the blue potion, and drank it in one fell swoop, before Micheal could even talk. Micheal smiled, as he said, looking at the wounds that were healing on Matthew's arm.

"Hah! Did you know that the healing potion should be drank in one fell swoop? Or did you just do it on chance?". Matthew answered him as follows, "My father and mother were familiar with these potions, and they told me about them. One time, my dad drank only half the potion, and was a little shocked to see that it didn't work, even after he tried drinking the second half!".

Micheal chuckled a little from that story, before he said, "Anyway! Now, let us start learning about which type of magic you should learn for now, of course, obviously, I would suggest it would be Air, since it is your main magic type!".

"But, since you are blessed by the One Power, you could try learning Fire, or Darkness as well. Remember this, your control of those two secondary types of yours, is as good, as most people's control of their main type! This is because you're very blessed by the One Power, and with this, try imagining how good your control of the Air type, your main type, would be!".

Matthew smiled, and said, "I would like to try learning all three! But, I think I should first start with Air! Since, it is my main type after all!". Micheal nodded, "Good choice, let's first start with a very simple spell, it's called, Gust of Wind, or Wind Gust!".

With that, the rest of the day passed on very quickly, and Matthew devoted most of his day to training this new spell of his. At the end of the day, and when Micheal was leaving, he said to the little boy beside him, "I say, it will probably take you about three days max to learn the spell, so, tomorrow, be ready to practice it some more!".

Matthew nodded, and said, "Thank you again, teacher!". With that, Micheal left. And just like that, time passed by very quickly, and while Matthew learned spell after spell, and got to become very good friends with Max and the others at the orphanage, two years had passed, and now, he was nine years old.
