Matthew was left alone after the Chief of Guards, Gleeward, went away. 'Hmm! I can't stop thinking about me being able to possibly stand up to a guard that looks to be in his twenties, hah!'.

Matthew then started moving again, he walked for a bit, and reached the long staircase that leads down to the first floor. He took it, and strolled about at the end of the stairs, "Hmm? Where will I find father here?".

'It feels quite weird to call him like that, but, since I will be the heir to the family, I do need to learn how to adapt to this family. They might not be as energetic as the Cavias family, but, since Aunt Nia thinks that they are a good choice for me, that means they are decent people at the very least!'.

'And well, having a little sister to annoy, well... It's a pretty good bonus for me!', as soon as he thought that, he heard footsteps behind him, they appeared to belong to someone small.

Matthew guessed who it could be, and then turned around to confirm that it was her, his little sister, the three-year-old, Olivia. She seemed very angry, as she strode toward him, which only served to make Matthew chuckle a bit.

After little Olivia arrived in front of him, she stretched her small hand toward him, as if demanding something from him. Matthew blinked for a second, before he couldn't stop himself anymore, and started laughing.

Olivia widened her eyes, as she looked at him in confusion, she thought to herself, 'Why... why is laughing?'. Matthew then opened his mouth, after a few seconds of laughter, and said, "Ahh! So, what do you need? The piece of candy? Why should I give it to you?".

"You haven't even smiled at me, but ordered me around! So, what do you have to say for yourself?". Olivia looked at him, as she barely understood everything he had said, then sighed, as if she was an old woman dealing with life, or something. "Hah! Okay, I am sorry, please give me the candy?".

Matthew looked at her, then sat on the stair, and gestured for her to do the same, which she did. After which, Matthew gave her a small piece of yellow candy. Finally, the little girl smiled brightly, and for real, as she took it, and started munching on it in the next second.

Matthew smiled as he looked at her, and heard her mumbling to herself, "This is just like the candy aunty brings!". At that, Matthew smiled even more, and said, "Well, it is aunty that gave it to me!".

The happy looking little girl, suddenly stopped eating, and turned to look at him with suspicion. She didn't believe him, she only said, "Liar!". Matthew continued smiling, as he said, "What? But, I am for real, I will prove it to you, aunty's name is, Rania Cavias, she has three little daughters, and a big son, as well as a big daughter, her husband is a very strong man!".

Olivia's eyes widened from shock, she asked him while still in disbelieve, "H... how did you know that? Do, do you really know aunty? Hmm, this is the same candy, hmm! Okay, I believe you!".

Matthew couldn't help but chuckle a little at her answer, as he thought to himself, 'Really? That's all it took to convince her? Well, I guess she's still a child!'. Olivia continued munching on the piece of candy, and her expression turned happy again, she then asked the little boy beside her, "Are, are you really going to be my big brother?".

Matthew nodded and said, "Yup! That's true!". Olivia smiled a little, and said, "Then, will you... Play with me?". Matthew turned to look at her for a second, before he smiled and said, "Of course I will, you know what, how about we play a little game right now? This one is called, "It"!".

Olivia said under her breath, in slight confusion, "IT?", before her expression turned to one of excitement, "Yes! Let's play now, but, I don't know how to play it!". Matthew patted her head, "Don't worry, I will teach it to you now!".

With that, Matthew explained to her the game, FOUR TIMES, before she understood what the rules were, even though the game was very simple to begin with. The two little kids went outside the house, and passed the guards, that looked at them curiously, but didn't say anything.

And then, they started playing. Of course, Matthew had to act a bit, after all, he would win pretty easily if actually tried. He won a little, and let her win a lot.

The young boy enjoyed playing with her quite a lot, but what made him happy, was the cute smile the little girl wore the entire time.

After that, they sat on a bench as they looked at the fountain in front of them, the two were panting right now, from all the running they had just done. Matthew smiled a bit, and said to Olivia.

"Hey, want to see me do magic?", Olivia laughed at him, and said, "Hahaha! Only dad can do it, so stop lying, lying is bad, mom told me that many times, you shouldn't do it!".

Matthew showed his teeth with a large smile, as he clicked his fingers together. Instantly, a small fireball appeared beside him. Olivia got up from her seat, and retreated a bit, as complete shock overtook her face.

But, she wasn't the only one that was very shocked at the moment, the guards as well, were very shocked. After all, they were seeing a small boy, perform a spell, one that was considered one of the weakest, but still, the boy performed it instantly, as if he was an actual Mage.

Matthew smiled, as he made the small fireball disappear from his hands, and fade into the One Power around them. He had already noticed that Olivia's One Power was very weak, even the children at the orphanage were better than her.

The little girl started clapping, as did one of the guards, who was still looking at the young boy with shock. Matthew smiled a bit, he liked getting praised like this, after all, who didn't?

Time passed by quickly, as Matthew walked with the small girl around the house. She played a sort of guide, and showed him many of the places inside the mansion, she even showed him her room, and her toys, as she puffed her chest with pride.

She also showed him where Their parents slept, where her mother knitted some clothes from time to time, and where her father worked at a desk, signing, and ignoring many important documents, as he had told her once when she asked him what he does.

And finally, she took him to the library inside the mansion. Once they entered, Matthew looked at her, and said, "Hmph! Silly little girl, I kept telling you to take me here first, but instead, this is the last place we visit!".

Olivia flashed him a demonic smile, as she said, "Hmph! You deserve it, you also didn't give me the candy at the first time!". Matthew sighed, and then turned to look at the large library in front of him, many bookshelves were adjusted into positions here, and all of them were filled to the brim with books. The best thing about this library, compared to the one at the orphanage, aside from the fact of having more books, and better quality books.

Was that, there were signs put on each bookshelf. On them were written, stuff like, history, geography, stories, and stuff like that. 'Hah! It will be very easy to find the correct book here compared to the orphanage!', thought Matthew as he looked around the many bookshelves.

He looked at Olivia beside him, and asked her, "Amm! So, if I take a book from here, will father be angry? Should I ask him first?". "Hmm! I don't know how to read, so I don't know, but I think dad would be very angry that you didn't ask first!", replied the little girl.

Matthew nodded, as he thought to himself, 'That's only logical, after all, I shouldn't just take things here as I like, even if I am the heir to the family!'. And with that, the two of them made their way back, and spent the rest of the time talking in Matthew's room, he also started drawing with her.

They tried to see who can draw better, and even though Matthew was quite bad at it, compared to a three-year-old, he was still a hundred times better, and so, not to make her sad, he had to make himself sad, and lose on purpose.

Matthew even tried to see if he can teach her how to see the One Power, but everything he told her, entered in one ear, and got out of the other in the next moment.

Time passed, and quickly, it was already dark outside. At that moment, the butler, Tanvel, had come to Matthew's room. He didn't expect to see Olivia there, and so, he was a little surprised by it.

He told them to follow him, since it was dinner time now, and the two little kids did. It took them around three or so minutes to reach the dinning room. After they entered, they saw Nero Ankston, their father, sitting in the small table - That was probably made only for the four of them - by his side was their mother, Marcela.

Close to her, was a maid, who was a woman of middle age, she bowed, and left after she saw that the two had come with Tanvel. Nero spoke, and said, "Hah! This mansion is just too big, we thought Olly had gone lost, since they weren't able to find her, but, I guess she was with you all this time, hah! Anyway, how was it? Did you two have fun? They told me you played a weird game that involves running!".

Olivia smiled, and said, "It is it! Matt taught it to me, it was super fun, I won in the end, hehehe! I am faster than him!". Marcela smiled as she looked at her daughter, and said, "If I hadn't played it when I was young, I would have been as confused as your father! Dear, the game is called, "It"!".

Nero made an "Oh!" look, as he finally understood what his daughter had said, he smiled, and said, "This game's name is confusing!". With that, Matthew, and Olivia, both sat, and they started eating.

Matthew's eyes were about to fall off, after all, he was eating some very delicious food, food that only nobles ate. And, he would be eating like this from now on, because he had just become a noble.

The new family of four, ate, and spoke, and laughed. It seemed like Matthew was really enjoying himself here, at one point, he asked, "Umm! Father, can I choose books at the library to read? Along with the two you said you will give me!".

Marcela looked at the little boy across her, and even though her husband had already told her about this, she was still a little surprised by it. This child was only nine years old, and hadn't come from a noble's background, where being nine, and having the ability to read and write, was a must.

Nero smiled and nodded, "I guess you love reading, han? I myself, am not that big of a fan, so yeah, you can read as much as you want. And, if you want a book you couldn't find here, just ask me! I will try to find it for you, don't forget, you're part of the family now, and, you're the heir to our family, I would be very happy to see you very well cultured, and to do that, you will need to read a lot!".

Matthew smiled, and got up from his seat, as he gave a small bow, and said, "Thank you father! I will try not to disappoint you!".
