The rest of the night passed on quickly. Matthew wanted to sleep at the orphanage in his old room, and his father allowed him to do so. As for the other children, after they were fed, they were then returned to their rooms to sleep.

The guards of the Cavias family, as well as the ones from the Ankston family, stayed to guard them for the rest of the night. The Fierce Lion returned to his home, while he told the Black Lion to stay and manage the soldiers under him.

On the other hand, Nero stayed up the entire night with Gleeward talking about what to do with the children now, and Asvin was with them as well. The reason, the Fierce Lion returned home, was to protect his family, and the Ankston family from danger.

Since, they had just declared themselves enemies, of not only the Grey Dogs but, of the other people in on the child abuse, the number one family of nobles in the kingdom of Decartium, the Poblico family.

The person ranked as the strongest of the 14 pillars, was, after all, a person from that family, not just that, but, his son, was even stronger, and more well-known in the world at large, the Yellow Sun!

That was the main reason for The Fierce Lion returning home, he also stayed up the entire night with his most trusted adviser, the head of his servants, they discussed at length what to do with the orphanage going forward.

Aside from that, he also, personally, brought Olivia Ankston to his mansion, since, she was left alone at home, there were, of course, people guarding her, but her mother, Marcela, wanted her to be here, with her family, and under the protection of a strong person, such as the Fierce Lion.

With that, the night ended, tomorrow was a long day as well, since the entire day went by pretty quickly, as both Nero Ankston, and John Cavias talked for a long time until lunchtime came.

While they were eating inside the Cavias mansion, a butler moved closer to the master of the house, as he whispered something, the Fierce Lion's expression changed into one of shock, he dropped his spoon, which caused everyone to look at him in surprise and confusion.

John Cavias straightened his back, as he said, "Ahm! Children, go play, aside from Matthew, you stay here!". Rosin, Terria, Sonia, and Olivia, all pouted, they wanted to stay as well, but, since it was a direct order from their father or uncle, they had to obey.

After the little girls left, Matthew gulped, as he waited for the Cavias family leader to speak. The man didn't let them wait much, since, in the next second, he said, "15 nobles were discovered dead yesterday!".

Everyone went silent, they couldn't believe what they heard him say, '15 nobles, why? What happened? Does it have something to do with us?', thought Matthew in shock, as he couldn't understand a thing.

The Fierce Lion continued, as he said, "But, that's not the most shocking thing about this, instead, this, the killer, is suspected to be... The Shadow Assassin!". At this, everyone stopped in their place.

'Who did he say? The... Shadow, Assassin? Why? Why is it him?', thought Matthew, as he couldn't wrap his head around the new information he just received. John Cavias didn't stop there, he continued, "They say all these nobles were good people!".

"And, that this is a repeat of what happened a couple of years ago, just like the Shadow Assassin had done at the time when he killed the good noble in the presence of both, the King's Power, and the king of Decatrium!".

"But, the thing that is even more shocking is one of the names mentioned here, this person is said to be a kind fellow, who liked to adopt children, and give them a life they could only dream of having, his name is, "Dokken Ranbos"!".

Matthew's thoughts froze, the same happened to Asvin, who could only look at his father in complete confusion, as though saying, "Could you repeat that?".

Nero sighed, as he said, "This, this implies some very grave things!". Rania couldn't take it anymore, as she said, "Isn't that the same person that abducted Max? Why, why is he mentioned as being a kind fellow, does, no, this could mean that all 14 other nobles are...".

Rania couldn't continue what she was going to say, but Asvin did, "All the other 14 nobles, were just as bad, they were the nobles that took the children yesterday? Then, the Shadow Assassin, if he truly killed them, that means, he was there to get revenge for the kids, as well as save them if they were there, like with Max!".

Matthew looked blankly at his big brother Vin, he heard everything he said, but he just couldn't believe it, and who could, if told that the evil person they knew about for a long time, was trying to help innocent children?

"This could mean, that the assassination a couple of years ago, might be the same as yesterday, that noble who's always mentioned as being a good guy, could have been like the Ranbos heir!", said Nero.

"No one should talk about this with anyone, do you agree, lord Nero!", Nero nodded his head, as he said, "I do! After all if word of this reached his Majesty the king, the person that spread the rumors of the noble being a good guy, then, I wouldn't want to know what he might do to us!".

"The Shadow Assassin is... a good guy?", asked Marcela, she had been quiet all this while since she was so shocked, she had to take a couple of minutes to finally calm down.

"That's not sure, but, with this, and with my time with him in the Court of Saviors, then I would say, maybe? What do you think, Lord Asvin? Young lord Matthew? You two met him yesterday, how did he seem?", said Gleeward.

Asvin had told him to call him by his name, but the Beast liked teasing his former student, and as such, still called him lord. "He, he seemed normal, he laughed a little at us, since we were so scared of him, and he even wished me good luck in my training!", said Matthew.

"Hmm! This is indeed a very serious piece of information, I understand why the king would lie and say that the noble was a good guy, after all, the division between the nobles and commoners is already very bad, if this were to get out, our kingdom might risk a rebellion!".

"The last one wasn't a good thing for the royal family, they were all killed, that is also one of the Charlton family's biggest achievements in history since they helped the new royal family a lot at that time!".

"I am sure there will be a new Charlton family if a rebellion were to ever happen, that's why, these 15 nobles were good people, and to be honest, this is all a theory, aside from the Ranbos heir!".

"And so, putting all of this on, one of the most famous assassins of the world, the Shadow Assassin, seems like a better thing to do! But, that does mean that we have been afraid of him, as well as treating him like the scum of the earth, for no reason!".

"For that, and if this was the truth, I would like to apologize to him, I can't tell him in person, for very obvious reasons, he's not here, and I don't know where to find him, but, I would still like to apologize!", said The Fierce Lion.

Most of the present there agreed with him. Since Rania and Theresia were emotional people, they even shed some tears for the guy. While Matthew just stayed there, looking at his plate of food, even after everyone returned to eating.

After all, this guy, who supposedly was evil, suddenly wasn't, he had saved Asvin's life, wished him good luck in his training, and killed 14 other bastard nobles, just like the one he had fought yesterday.

'Then, what type of organization is he creating? And why does it need more time before he can reveal its name, and objective?', thought Matthew, while he was outside playing "It" with the other girls.

Unfortunately, he couldn't concentrate on the game at all, which is why he kept losing.

A few days passed, and his days returned to normal. There were now new employees working at the orphanage, and their manager, was no other than Theresia, she had taken charge since she always wanted such a job.

After collecting some men and women to serve under her, she made her way to the orphanage, there were even two guards present to guard them now, one from the Cavias family, and the other from the Ankston family. The two families had taken complete control of the orphanage.

The king sent a decree to the Fierce Lion, where he wanted him to pay a big sum of money for what he did, killing all the previous workers of the orphanage, as well as taking it for himself.

Nero helped in paying the money, and the two ended up splitting it 50, 50.

Matthew resumed his magic training with his teacher Micheal, the young magician with green hair. And, something big happened over these days. Rosin was finally allowed to practice magic.

After the Fierce Lion saw Matthew in action, he truly understood that magic was very necessary. After all, learning physical, and weapon based fighting wasn't very helpful when a person was young, but, the same could not be said for magic.

After all, Matthew was a good demonstration of that. And, since Rosin didn't have that good of a talent in magic, and she was to be taught by him personally, he agreed to let it happen, of course, this wasn't just opened to his daughter, but to the entire Cavias family.

The entire kingdom of Decatrium was shocked by this move, after all, it had been ten years, since the end of the war, that magic was prohibited in the Cavias family, and now, suddenly, it was allowed again.

The day came, when Rosin's first day of training was to happen, and, for some reason, she came to Matthew's house, she waited with him for the teacher to come, Matthew asked her, "So, you will be training with me?".

Rosin smiled, as she said, "Father wants you to help me learn quickly, could you, do that?", asked the girl shyly, she had completely changed from the first time they met, there in the backyard of the Cavias family.

The green-haired young man came, he looked at Matthew and said, "Good morning Matt, and you too, little Rosin!". Rosin smiled, as she said something that shocked Matthew, "Good morning, mister Green Mage!".

'Hah! Did I hear her right? She, she didn't just say that, right? No, that can't be, did she just call him, the Green Mage? The same one I know, and everyone does, no, but how could that be, teacher is weak, and the Green Mage is supposed to be even stronger than uncle John!'.

'She's mistaken, right?', but, to his surprise, Micheal, the GREEN-haired magician, smiled at him, as he said, "Oops! My secret is out now, isn't it?".

Matthew didn't say a thing, since he couldn't even talk at the moment, something had clicked inside his head, 'Is this why, father acted weirdly that day, and he even accepted the teacher to teach me instead of him, is this why?'.

The Green Mage was well known in the kingdom, but, not many knew of his appearance, just like how Matthew didn't recognize who John Cavias was, the first time they met.

And, it seemed, like all this while, he had been trained by the Green Mag
