Chapter 26: Volume 1, Chapter 25: The Hunt Is On

Time is the most precious things ever, yet the most cursed things ever at the same time. Because time can destroy all of us if we can't manage it properly. However, time will always be on our side if we can manage it properly and live with it. Because time has controlled all of us at the same time in the same situation.

1600 hours, 25 June 0145…

I'm almost running out of time. My friends are in a massive danger, and I cannot mess this perfect moment to save their lives, before the same previous tragedy happened again in front of my eyes!

This time, I'm running around 90kph through this long, dark, and narrow passageway on the way to the exit to rescue Veronica and Christine when they're in danger against Kalbaroth.

"Veronica… Christine… just wait there!" I said to myself while rushing to my limit.

Realistically, normal human could only run around 13kph because they are limited to their stamina, in exception if the normal human can increase their stamina by taking various training, they can go faster than around 40kph.

However, the reason Authonoids like us can run twice faster than this, is because we've been put under massive pressure test in the training chamber where the trainer force us to move our feet as fast as we can until we've reached the limits of our stamina. Although in the end we're getting exhausted just like how normal human dies.

Besides that, it's pretty useful for us to increasing our stamina when we're keep train it every time. Even we could have an unlimited stamina if we keep taking various pressure tests and challenges to improvise our skill, adapting with the surrounding situation, and overcome the unexpected challenge in front of us.

The previous tragedy about the death of Lucas and Clarissa flashed through my eyes. As if both of them are going to die when fighting against Kalbaroth. However, this time is different. And I guarantee they can stall their times by juking that Infectoid. So I can arrive at them in a perfect time where I can dropkick that stupid Infectoid from his behind.

Suddenly I saw a light in front of my eyes as a sign of exit way from this dark and narrow passageway I've passed on. And it's my perfect time to save them.

"Focus, Christine! You're easily distracted by his arrow instead of fighting against him!" Said Veronica in the distance from the exit way of this passageway.

"I'm going to use my Divinocchi this time!" Christine replied in the distant.

"For fuck's sake, Christine. I'm going to whip your ass after this mission!" Said Veronica to Christine in frustration.

After a few seconds exited from this passageway, I saw both Veronica and Christine still fighting against Kalbaroth. And I saw both of them evade his attack.

"Hahaha! Too slow!" Said Kalbaroth to both of them while charging his arrows.

Afterwards, he shot his arrow toward Christine.

*CHUIT*

Luckily, both Christine and Veronica evaded his arrow in a split second.

"HA! Foolish Authonoids! Do you think you can beat me with your stupid arrow?!" Said Kalbaroth to both of them sardonically.

"Then, EAT THIS!!!" He continued while charging his arrow for a second time.

When Kalbaroth is about to release the string of his bow to shoot the arrow. I drop-kicked his back in a surprise.

"GYAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!"

That causes Kalbaroth to falling down and rolled into the ground.

"Tsuyuki?!" Christine asked surprised after she's looking at me dropkicked Kalbaroth.

"Tsuyuki! What the hell are you?!" Veronica asked to me in confusion.

"Making the mother of all steaks right here, guys!" I replied straightforwardly when looking at the sprawled Kalbaroth.

Suddenly Kalbaroth doing a backflip to recover himself. After that, he said to us.

"Foolish Authonoids! Don't you think you can beat me with your stupid idea about humanity?!" Said Kalbaroth in anger when he's pointing at us.

I smirked and replied to him sardonically while pointing at him, too.

"Listen, all we care is about beating up your ass. And that's it, dumbass!"

"Hah! You still can talk big like a fool, foolish Authonoids!" Kalbaroth replied to me sinister.

Furthermore, I wanted to kill that Infectoid and get out from this place quick. I drew my Nakajima and said to Veronica and Christine.

"Guys, let's finish this up!"

"On my way, leader!" Christine replied while pointing her Lancepear toward Kalbaroth.

"Your call, Tsuyuki," Said Veronica in conceding tone when pointing her Dual Blades toward Kalbaroth too.

"You want this?! Then come over here and TAKE IT!!!" Said Kalbaroth when he's pointing his bow and arrow at us.

And suddenly, he's pulling 5 arrows and shooting his arrows toward us, in a lightning speed.

*CHUIT CHUIT CHUIT CHUIT CHUIT*

Luckily, the three of us parried the arrow while rushing toward him.

*TANG TANG TANG TANG TANG TANG*

After we parried his arrows, he dashed backward and shoot another arrow at us. But this time, he's shooting an armor piercing type arrow that can one shot us if we let our guard down.

*CHUIT*

Luckily, the three of us evaded it like breaking a toothpick. After that, I draw my Kiryu and shoot his head.

*CHICK CHICK*

*BANG BANG*

Unfortunately, he's evaded my bullet by dashing back to forth. Because of that, I rushed forward and try to slash him with my Nakajima instead.

When I'm swinging my blade from above, he's parrying my blade with his arrow countless time.

Suddenly, Veronica attacked Kalbaroth from behind. However, that won't stop him from parrying against us on both sides.

Christine did a surprise charge attack toward Kalbaroth's left side, using her lancepear while rushing forward. And when her Lancepear is about to stab Kalbaroth's left waist around 20cm, he parried her Lancepear with his arrow in a lightning instinct.

After that, Kalbaroth dashed backward and shoot Christine with his arrow.

However, she parried it when standing normally.

Suddenly, she looked down and silenced for a second. And then she mumbled a mantra using a language I didn't understand.

I stopped for a second and looking at Christine to see what's happen to her. Suddenly I realized she's about to expressing her middle school syndrome before fighting against Kalbaroth.

After that, she's removed her eyepatch on her left eye, revealed her light blue eyes that's glowing brightly, and continued while pointing at Kalbaroth, threateningly.

"May the angel wings enlighten thy blackened heart, and may the devil's horns slitting thy sins.."

Furthermore, she glared at Kalbaroth, pointed her Lancepear with her right hand, and continued.

"Now, thou shalt taste the VANISHMENT IN THIS WORLD!!!"

She charged at Kalbaroth at lightning speed and was about to stab him.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

Kalbaroth parried her Lancepear with his arrow, harshly.

But that is still not enough for Kalbaroth to countering her large Lancepear that can easily crush his bow and arrow like millions degree knife slicing something. Suddenly, Christine dashed into Kalbaroth back in a split second.

"IN YOUR FACE!!!" she said in his behind, as both of her eyes glowing threateningly.

Suddenly, Kalbaroth looked back and quickly parried her lancepear with his Bow and arrow.

Christine is in a gritty fight against Kalbaroth. However, Kalbaroth won't back down and tries to dash back to turning back the tide.

"YOU FOOL!!!"

Furthermore, he shot 3 arrows at Christine at the same time.

His arrow is about to hit Christine at lightning speed. However, I dashed and parried his arrow to help Christine in fighting against that Infectoid.

Christine jumped through my back and jump attacking Kalbaroth.

When Kalbaroth's arrows are about to stab Christine's body, she's backflipped to evading his arrows. And then she draws her bow and arrow to shoot him back.

After she did a jump charge shot, her arrow pierced through Kalbaroth's chest harshly.

That caused him to stun for a second. And that gave me a perfect chance to stab him back.

"FINISH HIM, NOW!!!" Veronica shouted at me.

Wasting no seconds, I drew my Nakajima and dashed toward Kalbaroth's back.

"HIYAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!" I shouted as I pointed my Nakajima toward Kalbaroth back to stab him from behind.

Afterwards, I stabbed his back harshly.

*JSSHHIIICCCCKKKKK*

After I stabbed his back, I revved my blade to inflict critical damage by burning his internal frames.

*BRAAAAAP BRAAAAP BRAAAAP BRAAAAAAP BRAAAAAAAAAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAP*

Kalbaroth shouted in pain when his internal frames burned through my flaming revving blade.

After I inflicted a massive amount of damage on his internal frames, I took off my blade from his back harshly. And it released lots of flames out from his wounds.

The wound on his chest also scorched because of my fiery revving blade. Kalbaroth, standing in limped condition, looked at me in fear, and asked me in stutter.

"No… how… did you…"

Moreover, I replied to him by glaring at him threateningly. My blue eyes glowing and haunting his soul, as a sign for him to never mess with me again. Or else he'll face greater consequences.

Afterwards, Kalbaroth losing consciousness, fallen down, and breathes his last breath after he's critically damaged.

"Heh, that's easy. Like breaking a toothpick!" I said sardonically when sheathed my Nakajima toward my back.

Christine sheathed back her bow and arrow, approached my left side, and replied to me while smirked.

"Hmh, you better not messing with me!" She said while covering her left eye with her eyepatch.

"Well, here goes her eighth-grade syndrome," Said Veronica jocularly.

It felt relieving we've finally slayed Kalbaroth in this abandoned sugar factory. And afterwards, we're taking a minor break while having a small chit chat.

"By the way, Tsuyuki. Where's Joshua?" Veronica asked.

"Oh, he's helping Scott and Axel right now," I answered straightforwardly.

And then, Christine asked.

"Have Scott and Axel slayed Kotaro yet?"

"They're in a difficult situation, because Kotaro revived by itself. Despite they've extracted his consciousness system," I answered again.

"How can you tell from that?" She asked while raised her left eyebrow with a sinister smile.

When I'm about to answer her question, I've got a call from Scott in a sudden. I quickly answered the call and said.

"This is Tsuyuki, the leader of Black Vulture! What's wrong?"

Suddenly, Scott responded while shouting, panicking.

"*BZZZZZTTTTT* GUYS!!! I NEED A HELP HERE!!!"

It slightly surprised me hearing his panic response. And then I asked him back.

"What the hell you need, dumbass?!"

After that, he replied by shouting.

"DON'T JUST STAND THERE AND CALL ME DUMBASS!!! THIS IS BAD, KOTARO IS-"

Suddenly, there's a vibration sound from the upper wall of this large warehouse. The vibration was getting closer until the ground was shaking and making a mini earthquake. Furthermore, the vibration followed with a destruction voice where the walls are cracked.

*BSSRYYAAAAAAKKKKKK*

And after that, I saw Scott and Axel jumping through the wall hole when have a gritty fight against Kotaro.

Suddenly, I saw Scott letting his guard for a second because of an exhaustion. And that gave Kotaro the perfect chance to stabbing his back. Because of that, I have to prevent him from getting killed stupidly by shouting at him.

"SCOTT! WATCH YOUR BACK!"

"WHAT?! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

When Kotaro's Katana is about to slashing Scott's waist, Axel saved him. And then, Axel hammer gritting against Kotaro's Katana.

*TSSSSSSIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGGGG*

When Axel's hammer was gritting against Kotaro's Katana, he looked at Scott in his back and said to him.

"Scott, don't just stand there like a deadweight!"

And then Scott replied in frustration.

"What the hell are you talking about?! I'm just slightly exhausted!"

Suddenly, Kotaro backed down for a second to escaping from Axel's hammer. Afterwards, he chuckled sinisterly, and said.

"You… Authonoids… will… die!"

Kotaro sheathed back his Katana into his sheathe while did a fighting stance for an engagement pose. And suddenly, he dashed into Axel and Scott in a split second to kill them with his Katana. Unfortunately, Scott and Axel don't have a quick time reaction to block his blade, considering both of them are using a big and heavy weaponries.

However, I responded by dashing in a lightning speed toward Kotaro's attacking area, drew my Nakajima, and gritting his blade.

*TSSSSSSIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGG*

Afterwards, he's backed down for a second time like I've predicted on. And then, he said to me threateningly, as his red eyes glaring at me.

"Heh! Foolish Authonoids! Do you think you can beat me with my motivation?!"

However, I chuckled a bit because his threat was the equivalent of throwing a ball of papers that's soaked with waters. And then I replied while smirked and pointed a middle finger at him.

"Heh! Motivation for your fucking dick!"

"Foolish Authonoid! You still able to talk big despite you're about to lose easily?" He asked me sardonically.

"Who knows? Only if I shove your ass with my blade instead!" I replied casually.

Afterwards, I grabbed my Nakajima handlebar with my right hand, and revs the throttle thrice to intimidate him.

*BRAAAAAAP BRAAAAAP BRAAAAAAP*

Despite that, it gives Kotaro more motivation to fight against me even more.

"Heh, fine! You're might be my most formidable opponent. And our battle will be legendary!" He said to me as he did a fighting stance for an engagement.

"Everyone, get ready!" I said to everyone straightforwardly.

And then, everyone did a fighting stance pose for an engagement against Kotaro.

"On it!" Christine replied to me as she pointed her Lancepear toward Kotaro.

"Let's do it!" Scott added.

Kalbaroth tightening his grip on his Katana, and then he said to us.

"If you wish to defeat me, come GET SOME!!!"

Afterwards, all of us charged in a lightning speed and battling against one remaining Infectoid.
