Samantha was surprised at Becca's question, she looked at Daniel who was just sitting and looking at her. He gave her a smile and touched her cheek.
"Umm... I'm not sure, Becca. I'll have to think about it.", she replied.
"That's okay, I'll see you later? I'll text you the address.", Becca added before she cut the call.
When Samantha was finished talking, she turned to Daniel and told him about what Becca said over the phone.
"Do you want to go?", Daniel asked.
Wanting Samantha to go out of her comfort zone was something that he would want for her to experience. But more than anything, it's as long as Samantha wants to do it, he will definitely pave the way for her if she lets him.
"I'm really not sure yet, we just talked about it yesterday but… I really don't know, honey."
"That's okay… you don't have to decide right now. You will see her soon anyway, so listen to what she has to say first and then give yourself time to really think about it. Okay?",
She gave him a smile and Daniel urged her to start eating, "Come on, let's eat."
…
At The Lakeside Wok Restaurant.
Samantha and Becca were sitting at one of the outdoor tables. There weren't a lot of customers as it was mid-afternoon so the atmosphere was quite pleasant.
They've already been talking for 15 minutes and Samantha was feeling a bit excited and nervous at the same time.
"Wow. That's… surprising. Just wow.", Samantha was still surprised.
Becca had shown the responses of her followers regarding the Hozzby launching event that she attended wherein she featured Samantha in her video. Her followers welcomed Samantha's appearance in her vlog and a lot of them praised on how she was very pleasing to watch on the screen and was asking if they could see more of her.
Samantha wasn't only explaining things about the products, she and Becca were just having fun in the event as well and talked about other things like activities they liked to do or places they like to visit.
Since Becca had already noticed her being natural in the camera, she thought that it wasn't impossible for her to become an influencer. And now that her followers asked to see more of Samantha, she was even more excited to ask.
"I know! I just feel like maybe you'd like to try it, you know?", Becca began. "But of course, since you have a company to run… it's understandable that you won't do this."
Samantha pondered upon it before she shared her thoughts, "You know… being a CEO of a software company, I'm not sure if I'm really made for it. I've told my family about this before and I think I only did it at that time because I didn't really have anything else to do. I didn't have anything that I'm passionate about."
"When I left the country, I was able to see and experience a lot of things. I loved how I was free to do those and I actually miss it.", Samantha added.
Becca nodded understanding what she meant, "If you want to do this, you can start small and maybe see things from there. You can try choosing from one of the videos that you had taken when you were in Country D. Upload it and wait for a response. If they like it, they'll follow you and they'll want to see more of you. But if you don't like it, then that's okay… there's no harm in trying."
Samantha listened and she can agree to what Becca is saying. There is indeed no harm in trying so why not do it? She only lives once.
"Okay... let's say... that I will agree on trying it. What do I need to do first?", Samantha asked curiously.
"If you have decided to try it, you can set up a social networking account. One that you'll be sharing to the public. Once it's set up, you can start posting your videos or write a blog. I will recommend your page to my followers, that way they can start following you too.", Becca explained.
"That seems pretty easy."
"Yes. Here's what… How about we set up your account now and then when or if you have decided, then you can post it. What do you think?"
Samantha thought about it for a second and then agreed, "Sure, I guess that's fine."
"Awesome! Here… you can use my laptop."
Samantha and Becca worked on creating a new account. Because of Samantha's previous lifestyle, she didn't really have a social networking site. The only one that she has on her phone which is close to an SNS is an online messenger and the only friend she has in there is Hannah.
Since Samantha was computer savvy, they were pretty fast in setting up a vlogging channel and a page.
"There! All set up!", Becca exclaimed. Her smile reached her ears as she was very excited about Samantha's new venture.
Just as they finished, a high pitched voice sounded from behind them.
"Well what do we have here... Becca Wise..", Hazel Kun spoke in an arrogant manner.
