The two women at the table have just stood up when they heard Hazel Kun's voice. Naturally, they turned around to see who it was that called Becca.
Hazel wasn't alone, there were 3 other women with her and one of them is Nancy Jung. When Samantha turned to them, her eyes and Nancy's met. They didn't say anything but their eyes say everything. If only looks can kill.
When Becca saw that it was the woman from back then, she was already annoyed. "Yes? Can I help you?"
Hazel crossed her arms and looked so snobbish. "Girls, do you remember the b*tch that I told you about?"
One of the girls answered, "Oh I know her, I remember her face and name that's for sure."
Becca smiled widely, she was clearly amused at how childish these women are. "Oh, What an honor! So you are a fan! Do you want an autograph?"
The woman who just spoke was taken aback, 'Was this woman serious? I definitely didn't say anything about being a fan. Is she dumb? Although I have to admit... her videos are actually cool.', she thought.
"Are you stupid? She's not your fan.", Hazel sneered.
"Oh, she isn't? She did say that she remembers my name and face. Oh well... I don't really care. I don't want her as a fan anyway.", Becca answered nonchalantly.
Samantha who was oblivious to what was happening tugged Becca's arm and asked, "What's happening? And who is she?"
Hazel caught on to what she asked and she was bothered that she wasn't recognized by her. 'Who is this woman?'
"Eh, you probably don't know her. She's a small time artist.", Becca answered casually and it pissed Hazel.
She took the opportunity to destroy Becca, "You don't know what's happening? Your friend right there thinks that she's someone special. She slandered the brand that I'm endorsing!", she yelled, catching the attention of the people around them.
Becca started laughing, "Are you still on about that? Are you that bored? I'm starting to think... that brand must be the only thing that's making money for you."
What Becca meant was an insult to Hazel, it was like saying that she doesn't have any other projects that are bringing profits to her. She was implying that Hazel's only source of income was from that endorsement alone and nothing else. Upon hearing this, Hazel's nose flared and she glared.
"Of course not! I'm also working on a movie right now if you must know.", Hazel proudly said.
"Whether you star in a movie or not, I don't give a rat's ass. I don't know you so why should I care?", Becca spoke as she gathered her things. "Let's go, Samantha."
Samantha got her bag and they turned their backs but Hazel wasn't going to let them go.
"Where are you going? I wasn't done talking yet!"
Samantha had enough of her behavior, she turned around and gave her a piece. "Miss, I don't know what your name is but stop being ridiculous. You're claiming to be a celebrity but you aren't afraid of what passersby say about you? Take a look around."
Hazel suddenly began to feel conscious and turned her head from side to side. Sure enough, there were onlookers who were curious about the scene that she's causing. She felt even more pissed and embarrassed at the same time. She was about to speak but Nancy held her back, "Stop it, Hazel."
Becca pulled Samantha away from the crowd and they left the area as she explained what that was about.
...
In the evening at Sapphire Gardens, Samantha was clearing some things off her desk and organizing some of her old stuff while Daniel was resting on her bed and reading a financial article.
The two of them have recently been staying at Samantha's villa most of the time. And though it was quite far for Daniel compared to his penthouse, he was okay with it as long as he was with her.
He had just finished his reading when he looked at what Samantha was doing. That's when he noticed that there were boxes and old things scattered everywhere.
"What are you doing, honey? Are you on a scavenger hunt?", Daniel chuckled at the sight of his woman busy packing and unpacking some stuff.
"No, I'm just trying to figure out what things to throw so that you can have more place for your stuff if you want to bring some over."
"Aww... Want me to help you?", he asked.
"It's okay, you wouldn't know what I want to throw anyway. Thank you, honey."
While Samantha was busy, Daniel checked out some of her old things. There were pictures, CDs, lots of pens... it seemed like there were hundreds of pens everywhere. Amidst the sea of pens, was something that caught Daniel's attention.
It was something that he would never think he would ever see again, let alone in Samantha's belongings.
His heart suddenly raced as he reached into the old wooden box. Holding the very familiar object in his hand, Daniel wondered, 'What is my old MP3 player doing here?'
