Daniel and Samantha were in front of the Maybach, and Sean was seeing them out.
"Thank you for the very nice meal. As always, your cooking skills are really impressive.", Daniel complimented his friend again with a smile; this time no more foot rubbing from Samantha.
"It's an honor to be able to feed the Almighty Daniel Cho. I should be the one thanking you for visiting me.", Sean patted Daniel on the upper arm.
"He's right though, I really enjoyed the meal. I'll make sure to recommend it! Can I get your restaurant's contact details?", Samantha said.
"That would lovely! I would appreciate that, thank you!"
They both exchanged smiles, "Is there some special meaning behind the name of your restaurant?", she asked.
Sean looked up at the starry sky as if he remembered something, "It's my mother's name… Rose. She passed away when I was a teenager. She always cooked for us and we ate like we were royals because her cooking was very delicious.", he explained with a sad smile.
"I'm sure she's proud of you and what you have accomplished.", Samantha stated.
"Thank you for saying that. It's really nice to finally meet you, Samantha. I have always wondered what Daniel's future wife will be like.", Sean glanced at Daniel before he added, "Back in the day… Daniel's type was quite different.", he smiled as he crossed his arm.
Samantha shifted her gaze to Daniel and raised a brow, and just like before, she smiled like she had discovered something funny and was waiting for Daniel's response. "Really?... so he has a type? Please do tell."
Excitedly, Sean answered her question, "Oh yes… he had a lot of girls chasing after him back then. He was also known as a lady's man! How many girlfriends did you have again?", he faced his friend with an amused expression.
Daniel gave his friend a deathly glare. "What nonsense are you spouting about? What girlfriends?"
Seeing Daniel's reaction, she wanted to inquire further, "Sean, what's his type then? Quick, tell me!"
Glancing at his fiancée, he thought that if he doesn't stop the two of them, it will become troublesome later. Daniel sighed, closed his eyes and shook his head. Sean was just about to say something when Daniel interrupted him, "Let's go, honey. We still have a long drive.", he spoke as he opened the door for Samantha and made her sit on the passenger's seat.
"B-but Sean and I were still talking...", she protested.
He leaned forward and buckled the seat belt for her before he placed a kiss on her forehead, "No, you're done talking. Be good.", he ordered before he closed the door of the car.
Sean snickered at the side upon seeing the two of them. "You really know how to avoid trouble, Swift."
Daniel walked towards his friend and replied, "And you know how to cause trouble, Sharp.", they both chuckled and gave each other a brief hug and a pat on the back.
They said their goodbyes and left the restaurant. Daniel and Samantha then drove towards their home, the Cliffside Villa.
When they arrived, the two of them showered and spent some quiet time in their bedroom. The master bedroom had a contemporary design with an airy open plan. Their bed faced the floor to ceiling windows that had an ocean view. The long curtains were parted just enough for them to admire the beautiful scenery of the blended mountain and sea.
Cuddling on the bed, Samantha laid her head on Daniel's shoulder and his arm wrapped around her, the other holding a tablet.
"Honey, what do you think of getting Sean to cook for our wedding?", Samantha asked.
Daniel lowered his head and placed the tablet on his bedside table, "Did you like his cooking that much?"
"Mhmm.", she confirmed.
"I thought so too, that was one of the reasons why I wanted to take you there."
She lifted her head and smiled at him, "Really?"
He nodded his head and added, "I'll call him tomorrow to let him know."
"Umm… while we're on this topic. What about our wedding date?", she probed.
After weeks of being engaged to Daniel, this was the first time that Samantha had initiated the topic about their wedding. When she and Hannah talked about it earlier back at the Busy Bean Cafe, she realized that she had indeed not started any planning yet. Picking a date should be easy, right?', she thought.
"We could get married tomorrow or the day after… or the next one after that. I don't really care as long as I marry you.", Daniel replied with a serious expression.
Upon hearing his answer, Samantha suddenly got nervous that she froze. 'What?! Tomorrow? Is he serious?'
Daniel saw the change in her expression and felt the beating of her racing heart. He chuckled, "Don't get too nervous. I was just kidding."
Breathing a sigh of relief, she pondered about it for a while. 'Well, at least I don't have to wear a wedding dress. We could just go, register and be done with it.', her thoughts had run wild that she could barely keep up.
Daniel patiently waited for her to talk again until she broke the silence. "Daniel…"
"Yes, love?"
Without much thought, she blurted out, "Why don't we do it tomorrow?"
His brows furrowed a little, "Do what tomorrow?"
Looking up at him, their eyes met and she said, "Why don't we get married tomorrow?"
