It was already half past six in the evening when Samantha arrived at the parking area of the restaurant where the Cho Corporation executives were going to have a company dinner. It will not be her first time to meet them as she had already met them a couple of times before when she did the presentation of the software prototypes and… or that time when she walked in their meeting inside Daniel's office and he let her stay inside to wait; causing them to raise their brows not knowing why their boss was pampering her so much.

She had changed into something more presentable as she only wore a very simple hoodie and leggings earlier that day so that she can move freely and sit comfortably. Before she left the Busy Bean Café, Hannah had styled her from head to toe.

So tonight, she was wearing a short-sleeved knee-length lace dress with floral pattern in cornflower blue. The color of her dress complimented with her fair skin and it was just the right length for her. She wore a two-inch rose gold ankle strap block heels that matched her clutch. She had refused to wear any makeup as she didn't think it was necessary but knowing Hannah, she didn't let her go without using just a few.

Samantha walked towards the entrance after parking her car and she saw her husband by the door.

"What are you doing here outside?" She asked.

Daniel marveled at the sight of his dolled up wife walking towards him. He had seen her dress up multiple times but he would always still feel amazed to see her each time. He is truly smitten by her.

With a slight smile, Daniel extended his hand to pull her close. "I was waiting for you. How could I let you walk inside alone without an escort?"

Closing the gap, Daniel kissed the corner of her lips, careful not to smudge her lip product. "You look stunning. I suddenly don't want to show you off in there."

Samantha playfully slapped his chest and giggled. "Sorry I just arrived. I hope I'm not too late."

"You came just in time." He slid his hand down her arm to hold her hand, making her feel warm. "Let's go."

Assistant Ahn had booked a huge private room that was enough to house about 20 people. The room was located on the far end of the hall, away from the main dining area of the restaurant. It was an exclusive restaurant and the interior design showcased a posh style.

When they reached the end of the hall, they stopped in front of the large door. Daniel leaned towards her and whispered low in her ear. "Relax, love. I'll be right here with you." He spoke and Samantha had just realized that she was actually holding his hand very tightly. When she relaxed, Daniel placed a hand on the small of her back before opening the door.

All heads turned towards them, their faces were very expectant to see Samantha Kim once again. They were quite fond of her after her presentation a couple of months ago and the project was smooth sailing afterward. And now that she is legally married to their boss, they want to suck up even more. Hoping that she will put in a good word for them was one of their wishes.

With a gentle smile on her face, Samantha walked beside Daniel Cho towards their seats. No one dared to utter a sound as they quietly waited for them to reach their place. Watching Samantha move gracefully with her arm in Daniel's, they all thought how lovely she looked. Her dress was nice and her facial appearance looked simple and fresh.

Daniel stopped by the end of the long table and announced, "Everyone, I'm sure you all know who this beautiful woman next to me is."

Samantha elbowed him slightly, 'Why did he have to introduce her like that?' She talked telepathically.

This little action of hers made everyone laugh, and Daniel only slightly smiled as he continued. "This is my wife, Samantha."

"Good evening, it's nice to see everyone here again." Samantha greeted everyone with her charming smile and all of them smiled back, even Director Leah Tan who was feeling awkward in her place. Leah was no longer feeling bitter compared before but being in the same room with Samantha, she felt small.

"There's actually another reason for this dinner tonight." Daniel continued. "The first software project that my wife's company, Trident had been working on for the past couple of months is finally going to be introduced to all of our hotels and business establishments nationwide on the first week of next month."

The faces of the executives were bright as they were finally going to have a much smoother work experience with all the businesses that they have under their care.

"That's right, we are currently in the testing phase and so tomorrow, we will send a team to work with each of the departments in your office who will be using the software to have it thoroughly checked. This phase will run for a couple of weeks before we will finally deploy it to the production environment." Samantha explained with confidence.

One of the directors nodded and spoke, "We are very satisfied with your work so far and I'm sure everyone will agree with me that Trident is very efficient. I'm sure that there will be very minimal if not zero problems for this project. So we are looking forward to its completion. Congratulations!" Everyone joined in and Samantha gave a bow to express her gratitude.

"I also believe in Trident's capabilities. So this calls for a celebration." Raising his glass, Daniel gave a toast, "To a great partnership."

Everyone followed, with a glass in their hand, they clinked and cheered with the people in the table.

They had their first round of drinks before they enjoyed a sumptuous, luxurious meal. The night was enjoyable despite it being a company dinner, everyone seemed to have relaxed. It was quite funny when they thought that their boss' aura was very different than how he was. Now that their relationship was out in the open, he seemed to have grown a pair of angel wings which made him look more approachable compared to his usual devil suit.

Samantha felt that her neck was slightly stiff and her head was throbbing a little. She got up from her chair and excused herself to the restroom.

"Why don't I go with you?" Daniel worried. He had already sent Logan home as he was with her anyway.

"Honey, it's just the restroom. I can find my way." She chuckled. "I'll be right back."

Daniel no longer protested as she left the room right away.

.

After Samantha had used the cubicle, she got out and was surprised to see someone she did not expect in that place at that time.

The woman was wearing a black maxi dress and her hair was neatly tied up into a bun. She was washing her hands and Samantha breathed in before she used the sink next to the woman.

The woman looked to her side when Samantha arrived next to her and a sly smile appeared on her face. She pulled out a piece of paper towel from the side before she faced Samantha. Her smile showed but her aura went dark.

Wiping her hands carefully, Devyn Nam spoke in a prideful tone, "What a nice surprise Ms. Samantha.. It's lovely to see you here."
