Serina went to her class the next day and met one of her classmates, Lambert Suede. "Morning, Rina. Did you go out yesterday?" Lambert asked as the two of them walked to their classroom.

"Why? Were you looking for me?"

"Yeah. I had some questions regarding our assignment but no one answered your room when I came knocking."

"Sorry about that. My friend asked me to come out and meet her. I came back late last night." Serina went closer and smiled at him. "In fact, I almost got caught by the guards when I climbed up the fence."

"Wh-what?" Lambert was looking at her in disbelief but Serina only placed her fingers on her lips, telling him to keep things a secret between them.

Among all the exchanged students, Lambert and Serina were a lot closer to each other since they came from the same class. He's a bit nerdy as well but he's not the same as those other men who always look at her with motives.

During class, she was very well-behave. In the past months that she's been studying, she was very attentive and would always participate in class but this time, she was very quiet. She hasn't recovered fully from all the energy that she spent from lifting the curse.

"Do you want to grab lunch together?" Lambert asked when the bell rang for the morning class to end.

"Sure. Let's go."

When she was in Royale Academy, she was very elusive when it comes to spending time with men. She didn't like hanging out with them and as much as she could, she'd stay away from them. In her 17 years of existence, Nicholas was the first man that she befriended and it was followed by Damon. Since she didn't know much about France as a whole and it would be nice to have a fellow classmate who knows you as one of your friends, she decided to befriend Lambert. There's really nothing wrong in being friend with him.

As they neared to the cafeteria, Serina felt her phone was buzzing inside her pocket. When she fished out to see who was calling her, her face showed a surprise and happy expression.

"I'll get us a table while you answer that call." Lambert told Serina and left her alone to give her space.

Serina looked for a quieter place and sat down to talk with Nicholas. "Rina?" She heard him say and Serina smiled by herself under a huge tree. She covered her mouth, lest people would think she's going crazy.

"Nicholas." She said his name, almost a whisper but still as crystal clear to Nicholas who was on the other line of the call.

As of the moment, Nicholas was sitting behind his desk in his study room at the same time his office, whenever he's home. He just finished all his work for the day and remembered that he hadn't talked to Serina for a long time now. At first, he was upset that she asked about dragons and stuff. He didn't want to talk about it and he hated that topic. He thought that she'd reach out to him and would at least coax him a little but Serina never did that. After all, she's not really used to dealing with men.

And because he didn't call her, his wolf, Kiro had been nagging him day in and day out. He had been sulking for not getting the chance to hear his mate. Before, it would be Nicholas begging Kiro to find Serina and talk to her. Now, the situation was reversed and it was Kiro begging Nicholas to find or to call Serina.

"How are you?" he asked when Serina had gone silent on the other end of the line, though he could still hear her faint breathing through the earpiece.

"I'm doing good so far. I have learned so many things in the past few months."

"Has Damon come to you still?"

"Yeah, he does. We've met a few times but I always go out with my friends to make sure that I won't be alone with him."

"I see. That's good to know." The line sank into another silence as if the god of death just passed by them. Serina didn't have anything else to say because she has no idea if the things she will mention will upset him or not. Ever since their last fight which lasted for four months, this was their first conversation and she didn't want to ruin it. "Rina?" Nicholas called for her attention again.

"Yes, what is it?"

"It should be noon in your place, right? Did you eat your lunch?"

"No, not yet. Lambert just went inside the cafeteria to get us a table."

"Lambert? Oh! That guy who came second in your class?"

"Yes, that's him."

"Okay. I'm glad that you found someone you'd be close with in school."

"Yeah. I'm happy, too." Serina answered. And another silence. This never happened to them before. Whenever they talk over the phone, even if it's not about werewolves and vampires that they talk about, they still found a lot of topics that they can talk over the phone. However, this time, she can really feel the restrictions.

"I'm sorry." Nicholas stated which caught her off guard.

"Sorry, about what?"

"I'm sorry for not talking to you. I'm sorry for ignoring you in the past few months. I didn't really mean to shut you off. I was just a little upset when I heard you asking about the dragons. I know that you are interested about supernatural beings and that includes dragons but I just couldn't find the courage to talk about those creatures."

"Is it because you are close to wolves? Is it because of what happened to the Luna of the Blue Moon Pack? Is it because of the curse?"

Nicholas took a deep breath and stood up from his chair to talk to her at the window instead. In that way, he can look at the surrounding forest outside his room. "Alright. Let's talk about it. I'll make you an exception."

"Thanks. I'm quite lucky, ain't I?"

"You are lucky because you have asked me. In the future, I will never shut you off of my life and I will listen to your every inquiry."

"You can choose not to answer me if you don't want to. You can take your time pondering over it and just tell me when you're ready. I can wait; be it four months or four years."

"No kidding?"

"Of course, I'm kidding." Serina responded with faint laughter. "I can't wait that long to get an answer from you. I'll try my best to research on my own instead. Just like what I have known about the dragons and the Blue Moon Pack."

"So, what do you know about it?"

"I heard the bearer of the fire dragon princess fell in love with a werewolf. However, the werewolf has a mate already. It's like the story I have told you before but the difference was, the dragon princess placed a curse on the Luna of this Blue Moon Pack because of her hatred. So, asked some people I know and I found out that almost all of werewolf packs hated that dragon princess. And with how you were acting few month ago, I thought that maybe I have upset you because you are very close to the werewolves and you are considered as wolf guardian, too."

Nicholas chuckled at her deduction because it was very, very close to reality. "You mentioned that you love wolves but I can see that you are fond of dragon stories, too."

"Well, I have read a lot of them in books. You can't really stop my imagination from going wild."

"Speaking of, I remember that you sketched a dragon back then. I think that was few months after I have stayed in your place."

"You mean that black dragon that I drew?"

"Yeah. Where did you get your reference from that?"

"Reference? It was just my imagination. I didn't know it would turn out great." Serina replied. "I also didn't know that you've seen it."

"Just for a short time while you were sleeping. If I remember correctly, I've seen it the day before I brought you back to my place."

"Did you like it?"

"In all honesty, if I'm not tied to wolves and the werewolves, if I am just a regular person who's fond of supernatural creatures like you, I think it was a very beautiful dragon."

"Thanks." Serina looked around and found that there were few people at the cafeteria now. "I'll talk to you again next time. I'll just grab some lunch."

"Sure. Please be careful always. Don't forget to wear the necklace that I gave you."

"Hn. Also, Nicholas…"

"Yes?"

"I will tell you something very important once I turn 18 years old."

"That's few months from now." Nicholas retorted with an expectant smile. "Then, I'm looking forward to it. I'll see you soon."

"Hn. See you soon."

Serina ended the call but realization hits her a little later. 'See you soon? Is he coming back here?' She asked herself and wide smile has appeared on her face.. "Let me confirm it to make preparations."
