Chapter 57: MEETING KIRO

Serina was enjoying the lake and has forgotten the little cubs that she was looking for. She didn't expect to find such treasure in this place because she thought it would be nothing but forest. Such lovely lake was really hard to come by. And now, she agrees to Hillary - the place was indeed beautiful.

"What are you doing here?" It was just a passing question that someone would normally ask to a trespasser but he didn't expect her to turn around and looked at him.

She had the most beautiful brown eyes. It shines when the sunlight hits them and she looked so gorgeous with nothing but water lapping on her bare skin. She looked scared at first, then her expression changed to one of surprise and happiness.

"Oh my god! Did you just talk to me?" She asked. Now this caught him off-guard. He didn't know that humans can talk to them. He talk a step back with wary reflecting his blue eyes. "Oh no! Please don't leave yet." She swam towards his side of the lake but she realized that she was naked. "Wait a sec. Can you turn around so I could change?"

Like a perfect gentleman, Kiro turned around to give her the privacy she needed. When she chuckled, he realized how foolish he was. Following her instruction only proved that he was talking to her so, he decided to disobey her order and looked back but he instantly turned his head away as if he was scared to face her. If he was in his human form, he'd probably have a hard on pressing on his jeans. He just found the sexiest body on earth and smelled the sweetest scent in his whole life. If possible, he just wanted to snuggle close to her, inhale her scent and get intoxicated.

'You idiot! That's Serina!' Nicholas yelled, wanting to come out but Kiro didn't give him the chance. He finally got the chance to meet Serina in his form and now, they can even communicate. 'Dude! Back off! You will scare her.'

'You back off! She's mine! And she loves wolves. She will probably love me more than you.'

'Did you just forget that I own you?'

Kiro fell silent at this question and he stopped messing around with Nicholas, just sitting there with his head turned away from Serina.

"Hi. What's your name?" Serina questioned while putting on her shirt. "Are you one of the wolves that Nicholas and his family are taking care of?"

'You can say it that way but I personally belonged to Nicholas.' Kiro admitted while watching Serina with his deep blue eyes.

"Can I touch you?" Her excitement couldn't be hidden at all and she was looking eagerly at him. When the wolf slightly nod, understanding her, Serina immediately threw herself on the wolf. She hughed his neck and buried her face on his fur. "You are huge. You smell so good."

'Am I?'

"Yeah. You smell like Nicholas. Do you spend so much time together?"

'Hn.'

"I am so jealous of him. He got you while I don't. Hmp! He didn't even tell me about you." Serina mumbled while stroking Kiro's fur. "I'm Serina by the way."

'I know. I remember him telling me about you.'

"Really? What did he say?"

It was a very unexpected meeting, one that no one really foresee and one that Nicholas didn't know how to deal with. He wanted to see Serina but he couldn't do it with his wolf grinning evilly at him. He couldn't communicate with her thru mental link either because he couldn't breach the barrier even if he used Kiros mental link to get her. He didn't even know how the two of them could communicate.

Serina chatted with Kiro and didn't pay any mind to the passing of time. She just sat there on the grass with her head leaning on his body. She could see that the two of them perfectly fit and even the ups and downs of their chest were in sync. She could even feel the ebb and flow of his blood.

She only walked away from the camp to see the little cubs but she didn't expect to run into Kiro instead. He was huge and warm. She even felt safe even if he's from the wild.

"I remember!" Serina suddenly exclaimed which stunned Kiro. He didn't know what she remembered but the surprise look in her eyes made him want to lick her face.

Before he could even think with Nicholas, his animal instinct already beat him to it. The next thing he knew, he was already licking the side of her face and neck.

"That tickles." Serina giggled while holdong Kiro's head a little away from her. She loves wolves and she didn't know why. She was just so fond of them and finally, she found one whom she can communicate without any problem. She thought it must be because of her extraordinary power from her dragon. "I have seen you several times already."

Kiro stopped licking her face instantly and his tongue was even hanging midair. Even Nicholas still within and felt as if his brain has stopped functioning.

'Where did you see me?' Kiro asked the question that Nicholas wanted to say.

"I've seen you in my mind. The first time I saw you, was when you were shot by someone. I think it was over a year ago. Am I right?"

'Yes, I was shot over a year ago by some hunter who trespassed the property.'

"I don't know how it happened but I was told that I'm gifted at some point but I don't know how it works. I think I've seen you suffering from some kind of pain last week."

'Are you a werewolf?'

Time stood still and the air was chilling but Serina was only sitting there, staring into Kiro's eyes as if baring her soul for this animal to see.

"It would be great if I am. I love wolves and I want to see werewolves, too. However, I'm not."

'How are you gifted?'

"I don't know. I can control the weather and make some fire."

'Then, can you make it rain now?'

"No way! Yiran's celebrating her birthday. I don't want to ruin this special day for fer." Serina responded and sighed. She looked around and finally realized that she had been away for a long time. "My friends must be worried about me. I have - "

Kiro stood up from the ground and slowly walked in front of Serina, shielding her from any danger that's coming their way. From the way he moved, it was obvious that he was alert and ready for battle. His ears moved, picking up the sounds from a certain distance while his blue eyes turned into a darker shade of blue.

"Kiro what is wrong?"

'We have some guests.'

"They could be my friends. Let me see."

'No! You stay there hidden from the eyes of malicious people. I cannot let anyone harm you.'

"You sounded like Nicholas." Serina stated and chuckled at the same time. "I guess that's what you get from spending so much time with him."

'He's my best buddy.'

"I can tell."

Both of them waited for quite some time and five minutes later, Serina finally heard Hillary's voice.

"Rina!"

"Rina, where are you?"

Kiro finally let down his guard but he still stood in front of her.

"I'm here." Serina answered from her friends' call but she didn't move away. She just leaned on the wolf and hugged his neck again. If she could, she would want to bring him home but she knew that she couldn't do it or Nicholas would be upset.

'You can take me home.'

"Ha? What are you talking about?"

'I'm saying that you can take me home. Nicholas won't be upset.'

Serina thought about it and smiled. She likes the idea but was still adamant about it. "I might do that but I will ask for his permission."

'When are you - '

"Rina!" Hillary yelled with her eyes wide in fear. She was clutching her chest, looking warily at the wolf which was standing in between them.

"You found he - holy god!" Jonathan took several steps back when he saw the huge wolf in front of them. Even Timothy stopped walking.

Kiro saw the two men eyeing Serina in worry but he was very unfamiliar with them except for Brigette and Hillary. He met these two several times with Nicholas.

"Rina? Are you alright?" Brigette asked without moving an inch. She's afraid of dogs, how much more of a wolf which was almost ten times larger than a dog.

"I'm fine guys. Let me introduce this wolf to you guys. His name is Kiro."

"You named him?" Timothy questioned in disbelief.

"Nope. Nicholas named him."

"No wonder the wolf likes you. It takes after its owner." Hillary commented and she wanted to laugh at it but she couldn't when the wolf was looking at them.

"Come over here." Timothy told Serina which made Kiro snarl loudly at him. "Maybe you should ask his owner to come and get him."

"Kiro, my friends and I are going to have a night camp here. We won't hurt the other animals and we won't harm the plants either. How about you go back and look after Nicholas?"

'Why should I do that? He's not a baby. I'd rather stay with you.'

'Idiot! I'm right here with you.'

'I know, moron.'

'Wow! You called me moron?'

'You called me idiot.'

Nicholas and Kiro argued internally and because of this Kiro was just standing still while staring at the people gathering in front of him.

"Kiro is staying with me tonight. He will be guarding me." Serina stated with no room for discussion. "Don't touch him and don't do anything to him. We'll be fine."

Kiro heard her words and licked her face once again, earning a hearty laughter coming from Serina - his mate.
