The three little wolves three themselves at her. When she fell down on the ground, they ran around her happily, making little noises as possible as if they were afraid that the other wolves would wake up. Serina watched them with joy dancing on her face, her laughter softly touched the hearts of the wolves as they watched her with the cubs.

"I'm so glad that I'm able to see you again." Serina sat on the ground and reached out her hand to touched Kylo's head. Sierra stopped jumping and running around; and decided to snuggle on Serina's lap instead. She looked so adorable with all her shiny fur covering her. Hunter was licking the tips of her fingers, tickling her when his teeth scraped her skin but she didn't take away her hand. She just loved being surrounded with them.

"How is it possible that I can communicate with you but I can't communicate with them?" Serina asked Kiro in passing while she looked confused and contemplating. He didn't answer her though, pretending that he didn't hear anything.

She thought it was because of her dragon that she was able to communicate with Kiro but if that was the case, she should have been able to talk with the other wolves as well. "Seems like that is not the case." Serina muttered to herself.

It was getting late into the night but Serina didn't feel like leaving at all. She wanted to stay there and be with the wolves. She knew that they wouldn't harm her and even if they would, she doubted it if they could. She's far stronger than anyone could imagine but she was hoping she won't ever have a time wherein she'd hurt the wolves that she loves so much.

'Let's go back.' Kiro nudged Serina with his mouth but she didn't move at all. Instead, she hugged his neck and burrowed her face on his mane. 'You have to go back and rest. You can still visit them next time.'

"I want to sleep here Kiro." Serina mumbled and sighed. "Why is it so difficult to have my wish granted?"

'Because your wish isn't something that a normal person can comprehend and achieve. Anyway, if you want to stay with them, you can. I will be here to guard you.'

"Really?" The delight in her voice couldn't be hidden at all and she had no intention of hiding them either. She was just happy to hear the permission coming from Kiro.

Sierra heard the words coming from both the wolf and the human. She raised her heads to look at them and snuggled back to Serina. She missed her scent and the subtle source of power coming from her. She was warm and kind. She was very careful not to hurt them as well. To Sierra, Serina was very different to other humans she met. Although she has seen a lot of werewolves along with Nicholas, the werewolves didn't really spend so much time with them. They don't play with them. They just guard them and made sure that they won't be targeted by hunters but there was no emotional attachment.

However, Serina was like a blazing sun, sending warm love to the wolves. They can feel it. They can feel that she really likes them.

"I'll be sleeping here, then." Serina loudly announced and the wolves all looked at her. "You don't want me to?" The wolves lowered their heads and just closed their eyes to sleep. "Yes, I can." Serina looked for a good spot and just laid her body on the ground, uncaring of the dirt, leaves, dusts and twigs.

'I'll stay beside you.'

"Great. You can keep me warm." Serina responded and hugged Kiro's neck which she barely circled with her arms.

On the other hand, Nicholas was restraining himself not to transform in front of her. He wanted to touch her, breathe her in and just be there beside her instead of her wolf form but he couldn't do it so abruptly or she might run away from him.

He can see her beautiful face from Kiro's eyes. She looks adorable with the wolves nestled beside her and she was very charming. She didn't even care that she was sleeping the wild. There was no self-preservation at all. That's just how she was when it comes to wolves.

'Think about it, this isn't the first time that you we sleep with her.' Kiro told Nicholas through their private link. 'A year ago, she also slept with you.'

'She has no other choice. She was being targeted by a vampire and if we didn't notice it, she'd probably lose all her memories.'

'Thankfully, we saved her.'

'Right. Now, how are we going to explain this matter to her. You showed up to her before I had the chance to explain.'

'If she's our mate, she'd understand. Don't think too much.'

'But what could be the problem that led her not to inform me of her arrival.'

Kiro and Nicholas both wanted to know the answer to this question but Serina didn't want to say it. Not long after, Serina was already breathing steadily with her eyes closed. She didn't get to appreciate the stars for a little longer because she felt sleepy with the warmth coming off from the animals that she loves.

When morning came, Serina woke up and found Kiro still lying on the ground with her on top of him. She didn't realize that they have changed their positions and that she climbed on top of him. Aside from that the three little cubs were also lying on him right beside Serina. Even with the weird situation that led her to sleep in the wild with the wolves, she didn't feel stiff or sore at all. In fact, she was very happy.

She looked around and found the other wolves still sleeping but the rustling sound coming from the bushes alerted her and she was prepared to attack should there be a need to do so. She waited and waited, waited and waited but there was nothing. Serina frowned but she kept her eyes on the bushed. She felt that something or someone was staring at them but she couldn't locate find it from her vantage point.

'Brittislava.' Serina called for her dragon but the other didn't answer her. 'Please lend me your power. I need to protect the wolves.' Serina desperately asked for help but her dragon didn't make a sound at all.

At last, something jumped out of the bushes but it wasn't only one, there were four of them – four wolves which were looking at her with steady gaze. She didn't move, didn't make sound but she noticed from her peripheral vision that the other wolves have woken up.

"Kiro, I think your friends have to look for you." Serina stated while shaking Kiro to wake up. "I don't think they're happy to see me. Can you tell them that I am not an enemy?"

Kiro stirred from his sleep and opened his eyes only to look at the new comers, not long after, the four wolves left. The smaller one with a white fur kept looking back at them. There was no expression on its face and it didn't snarl at her but Serina felt the hatred coming from it.

'What the heck was that?! He left my birthday just because she came?! Am I not important anymore? Am I only second to that woman now?!' Yiran couldn't stop herself from releasing her anger and venting it off on her parents and Gabriel. The four of them have looked for Nicholas early in the morning because he didn't return last night. They knew he was fine because they didn't hear any distress call coming from him but he closed off his communication link with them which added to their worry.

'Nicholas said that Serina is probably his mate." Zalia confessed to her husband but didn't add anything more than that. If there's a need for elaboration, Nicholas has to do that himself.

'He's mated to a human?' Yiran was in disbelief but she realized it would be better compared to being mated with a dragon bearer. 'I don't like her.'

'You don't have to like her. You are not living with her anyway.' Gabriel stated which irked Yiran even more. 'And just so you know, if you make things difficult, you will be pushing away your brother. Mates don't leave each other so, if he were to choose between you and his mate, it's obvious who he would choose. Why won't you just support him?'

'But who would play with me? Who will take me to hunt? No one! Only my brother does that for me.'

'I can play with you.' Gabriel replied while slowly walking to mirror his pace with Yiran. 'We can hunt together. I don't mind.'

Yiran didn't say anything anymore. She already accepted the idea that her brother wouldn't be with her forever but she was still sad over it. She was very close with Nicholas but now, someone else will be the priority of her brother's heart and mind.

'Hmp! At least she's not a dragon bearer.'
