Jackson and his wife decided to take a vacation.
Jackson intensely loves his wife. And, surprisingly enough, she loved him just as hard right back. The huge Chinese man surprised everyone when he introduced his diminutive Caucasian wife, Gillian, to everyone at the company Christmas party. He had gotten married several years ago to this blonde haired, blue eyes sprite and had kept her to himself all this time. Everyone was very pleasantly surprised when she effortlessly switched between English, Korean, and Mandarin with equal ease. When they found out that she knew six other languages and worked at the local university as a residential polyglot, everyone understood.
These people found out the hard way that she understood what was being said after they had started talking smack about her. She answered every accusation and rude comment back in the language that was being used. Usually to the extreme detriment of the person who was talking said smack. Most of it was amusing, except for the one truly rude person who was in for a rude surprise at being vivisected by the sharp tongue of this tiny seraphim.
Jackson figured out what was happening after scenting metaphorical blood. He wandered over to her and kissed her on the top of the head, which he had to lean down to do, and told her to play nice. She smiled and said that she would. Maybe. After all, they had been warned. Now, it became a game of Stump The Polyglot. (A game that she usually won.)
Shaking his head, Jackson wandered off knowing full well that he did not have to look after her. Gillian was perfectly able to take care of herself.
Jackson brought over Seulgi to introduce them. Hopefully, having his boss around might temper some of the things that Gillian might say. Unfortunately, this unexpectedly backfired, egregiously. They got along entirely too well for his comfort. He should have known better because both of them were gregarious and vivacious, and they can both get along with nearly anyone. This boded ill for him and his peace in life if they got along any better.
People also found fairly quickly that her name was Gillian. Not Gill. Not Gilly – unless you had a death wish. And only her father could call her Gilly-bean. Jackson, by default, had a bit more leeway than others, but even he did not take too many liberties. Whenever he called her Gill, she would call him Jack and the nonsense would stop again, for a while at least. Usually, it was done with loving malice. Emphasis on ‘loving’.
Most people would go into sugar shock from watching them together. The stern face titan at work would melt into a fool for the woman that he loved. Granted, she was also exactly the same when it came to him.
Their relationship was actually as healthy as it seemed. Neither was more important in the relationship than the other; they were true equals. Each took lead when one was in one's area of expertise. Neither felt minimized or threatened by the other.
It was so wholesome that it boarder lined on disgusting. They were so sickly sweet, even Disney would get annoyed. They were the bane of incels and femcels everywhere.
What’s worse is that they were talking to each other about passing this genetic abnormality on. Yes, they were planning on kids. How many? Several. He wanted girls to spoil. She wanted boys. Both wanted children. Plural.

They decided that there was no time like the present. They were both young, fit, in love, and willing to make a loving home. Both were well established at their jobs and had very lucrative incomes. Their savings and investments were all healthy as they were. So, they decided to celebrate their decision by consummating it. Several times. Vigorously.
Jackson and Gillian decided to fly back into China to a resort near where he grew up. It was slightly on the primitive side, though it was touted as ‘rustic’.
All the while on this vacation, they kept conceptualizing the impending growth of their family. Gillian’s family had twins once a generation, so they were taking bets to see if it would be them or Gillian’s sister that would have twins this time. If not this time, they could always try again.
It was also a paradise. Lush greenery everywhere you could see. The fauna was as abundant as the flora. All sorts of creatures were about in the tropical forest. There were many well-maintained hiking trails, bike paths, and other things that were strictly outdoorsy things to do.
There was an open air market every Friday as well. Arts, crafts, and local made things as well. Jackson got some trinkets and knickknacks for his work wives. Gillian got things for her work husband and other co-workers. It was amusing how Gillian gained a work husband as easily as Jackson did his wives. It was all gloriously silly, but still fun to joke about.
They spend most of their time walking around, hand in hand. They had walked more miles than hours and were still energetic at night. They frequently stopped to look at plants, trees, birds, semi-tamed forest creatures, and the occasional other pedestrians. They sampled several local restaurants as well.
There was a nearby lake that they took a boating excursion on. They paddled around for half a day, exploring the inlets and coves all around the lake. They even waved at some of the people fishing on the shore.
The bungalow that they were renting was a wonder, too. One bedroom with a very large king sized bed, kitchen, living room, and even a fireplace for when it would get cold at night. Being that this was a mountainous region, it frequently did dip into some chilly evening temperatures, even in the spring. Then again, they would go ahead and light a fire at night for the romantic atmosphere as well. Why? Why not. They were on vacation, they would try to enjoy every aspect of it.
There was only one real downside to the bungalow, there was no running water. However, a little way up the mountainside was a well with a spigot they could go get some water from. However, they were not made aware of this before showing up, so they had to use the bucket that was in the kitchen to get the water. While annoying, it was still feasible because there was a shared bath house on the property.
Still, it eventually came to pass that Jack and Gill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.
