Before you know it, time passes while you are not looking. Routine sets in and days flow into each other. When you have your life in order, then the set patterns are not the burden such things are for others.

For Seulgi and company, work revolved around business, crisis, resolutions, and each other.  Granted, there were no issues the same size as earlier with the faulty parts kerfluffle. Quality control has been ramped up and is much more stringent. And much more unforgiving. The company has started gaining a reputation as being bullish over the quality of the parts they are receiving. Which is good for their clients and something inconvenient for the suppliers.

But that is something that other department’s problems to deal with. In other words: not her problem.

While all of this life was happening, the machinations of the Universe also were in action. After all, the Universe is always listening. Soon as someone says ‘Gosh, it's slow today’ or ‘It sure is quiet’ or even ‘I sure hope that the axe murderer is not behind this door’ you know the Universe will comply.  There is a general consensus that any fool who says such things ought to be legally allowed to be beaten or lynched. Or, at least, denied dessert.

Despite all of her workout dates with Son Wannie, Seulgi was starting to develop what’s called Armchair Spread and her butt was gaining mass. She was genetically predispositioned to being svelte, so any extra weight was fairly noticeable. And she was self-aware of it enough to not lie to herself about what was happening. She needed to make more time to stay in the gym again. The running with Son Wannie was no longer enough.

The next time they got together, she broached the topic of hitting the gym instead of running the next time they got together. After all, she had a company gym membership and could bring a guest. They had been gradually extending their runs further and further, as much for the exercise as the company. Son Wannie was very receptive to the idea and they decided to meet at the gym for the next date.

Neither of them remembers who said ‘date’ first, but it tickled both of their senses of humor.

Since Seulgi made the suggestion, she thought that she ought to try and make a plan for what to do, what machines to use, and if there was a pattern to what and how she ought to do things.

Fortunately for everyone involved, she really has no ego, so she is not above asking for help. Yeji is an acknowledged super gym rat. So one morning, before the morning meeting, Seulgi brought up the subject of workout routines. They started talking about how to work out muscle groups, and how to target particular areas that need attention. What machines to use, and just as importantly, what machines not to use to get desired results.

The other filtered in while the conversation was going on. Everyone had something to contribute to the conversation. As everyone was in as peak physical conditions as an office job would allow, everyone had something to contribute as to how they maintained the figure that they had. Jackson, much to his wife's smug pleasure, would have given Adonis a run for his money. Even the Terrible Twins had constructive and positive things to add.

The conversation actually ran over the allotted time and into their meeting time. No one noticed because they were all actively participating.  They all agreed to go to the gym together as a giant work date. It was enlarged by people bringing their Plus Ones. Seulgi would be bringing someone new - Seung-wan, Jackson was bringing Gillian, Nayeon was bringing another unknown named Katie, and Yeji was taking the Terrible Twins. It was going to be a veritable mob.

No one was sure if Yeji was adopting the Terrible Twins and taking them, or if the Twins were adopting Yeji and taking her. When you got down to it, it didn’t really matter. Everyone was going to show up at the gym at a given time after work in two days.

As it frequently happens, work intrudes on their fun. Seulgi herded her cats into an actual business meeting and got on with their morning about an hour after they should have already started. This was a very distinct advantage of how Seulgi ran things. She could get away with things like this because they were her meetings.

Her meetings and freewheeling style of meeting management earned her the envy of just about everybody that was not both Seulgi and her coterie. While everyone else was dry and boring, there was routinely laughter and smiles in Seulgi’s meeting. And that was even without donuts. Though, those are usually welcomed as well. Which is part of why the subject of the gym was brought up as it did.

There is nothing wrong with an occasional donut, but when you have them too often, you get meetings like these.

Seulgi clapped her hands and got everyone’s attention and officially brought the meeting to order. She learned this action back in high school and it still, surprisingly, worked.

As per usual, Jackson started the meeting with his report on what was going on in his side of the house. What was happening, what needed to be done and where they were on getting the goals accomplished.

Nayeon was next, giving much the same details about what was going on with her objectives and what still needed to be done.

Yeji changed the tempo by giving the relevant details of her jobs and then brought up a problem that she needed help with. She gave the problem in detail, what she has already tried to fix the problem and what happened when it failed to be resolved. In many professional circles, it would be professional suicide to admit that there was an unresolvable problem. But, with this group, they all pitched in ideas to help with the issue. Except for Nayeon who poked fun at her before offering up an idea of her own.

Even the Twin offered up creative ideas that seemed plausible. Min-jeon was already a known who could comfortably add to meetings. Yeo-jin is still feeling her way into the role but was becoming increasingly confident in her position. Both added surprisingly apt suggestions and plausible solutions. Both display that they may be both younger and the most junior, but neither of them was dumb. If they were, they would not be in these meetings.

Reassured, Yeji started taking notes. Yeji was temporarily lost as she was organizing the new ideas and suggestions on her notepad.

No one paid attention because each of them (except Yeo-jin who had not been there long enough yet to experience it) have been in the same world space as what Yeji was currently in.

Everyone knew that this was a good meeting when Seulgi finally smiled at everyone in satisfaction.
