"My Lord, the monsters have escaped." All guards had returned empty-handed.

"How could you let my gold escape? I should kill all of you!" Lord Vegg roared with anger.

Another guard appeared, "My Lord, the monsters were spotted heading South towards Draken Forest." He reported.

"Forget it, I'll just have to find another Orc Chief." Lord Vegg waves his hand to dismiss the problem.

Meanwhile...

The escaped snakes had reached the forest known as Draken Forest. Having an Orc Chief with them had become both an advantage and a disadvantage.

The advantage was outside monsters were scared off by the Orc Chief's aura and his hunting abilities. The disadvantage is food consumption, they're constantly hunting due to how fast food is consumed because of the Orc Chief.

"How much longer before our arrival back to the ruins?" Leo asked Runt.

"We still have to enter through the swamp area, and with the night coming, it's best we take a rest and move forward tomorrow, a day and a half." Runt answered.

The monsters they brought along were probably tired, not just that if they continued forward like this, the horses might become useless.

"Alright, it's agreed that we will continue forward tomorrow, everyone get some rest for tomorrow's journey," Leo informed the others.

"Um, excuse me." An Arachne came forward, it came to Runt's attention that this one was probably the group's leader.

"Is there a problem?" Leo asked.

"No, we wanted to know more about your leader." She says.

"I see. If it's the Leader then you don't have to worry too much. She's someone who cares for her people and helps them become stronger. Her goals are unknown, but we are loyal to her because she saved our lives," Big answered.

The Arachne seemed to like hearing the reassuring words, "I'm Nala, the queen candidate of the surviving Arachne. Unfortunately, our former queen was killed by humans, we would like to serve your leader and thank her for helping us." Nala says.

Runt stepped forward, "the leader will like hearing those words of thanks. Does everyone here feel the same?" Runt asked.

The dwarves, Fenrir Wolves, and Orc Chief all agreed to serve their leader.

The night became silent as they rested for tomorrow's journey. Big and Leo took turns keeping watch throughout the night since they wanted the Orc Chief to sleep as much as possible.

The Next Day...

"Any news about the return of the others?" I asked.

It has currently been a day and some hours since I sent those three to find other monsters.

"Nothing, there were no signs of any monsters coming," Yellow answered.

It's not that I don't think they would come back, I was worried they would run into some kind of danger.

"I hear the sound of horse hooves!" Yellow states while rushing to the entrance of the ruins. She looks back at me, "Leader, you might want to come to take a look at this."

I wonder what got her so excited. I headed over to the entrance and saw the horses being strapped to a wagon with Leo as the driver.

But it was the large green monster that caught my attention, there was something familiar about it from my human life, but I can't quite put a finger on it.

Leo jumps down and rounds the wagon to open the back so a small group of different types of monsters can jump down from it.

The only species I recognized were the dwarves and Arachne. As for the wolves, they were large compared to normal wolves so I'm not sure what species they are.

As for the Rat-like monster, it stumps me because I've never seen something like it before.

"Leader, we have returned!" Leo shouts with a huge grin.

"Good job for returning alive. Leave the horses here and let us bring the others in.

It's a good thing the entrance wasn't closed in, the large monster could fit through fine.

Yellow prepared the fire and we all sat around it, I was then introduced to each species, only the Fenrir wolves and the Rat-like monster, and a few of the Arachne were unnamed monsters.

Nala, the dwarves, and the large monster I learned was an Orc Chief, a species lower than an Orc General but still strong, had names.

I told Nala to name the other Arachne and I named the Fenrir Wolves, the three goblins, and the Rat-like monster I learned was a Raptail Merchant.

All Raptails are great Merchants, unfortunately for this one, it was a rare species and only a few still existed.

The names ended up like this; The four Arachne were named Tress, Lake, Velda, and Arlli. The three goblins were named; Yishi, Gobu, and Ladan. And the two Fenrir Wolves were named Kane and Didi, turns out they were a couple. I named the Raptail, Merch.

I also took the time to learn the names of the twelve dwarves starting with the leader; Knosh. There was Red, Ned, Amp, Zed, Yuno, Hunt, Phelp, Bard, Gator, Clover, and Top. Remembering them will take time.

Since that's everyone I can now look forward to what they can each do.

I explained to the six dwarves with Architect skills about the home upgrades and expanding the ruins a bit more for more space.

It didn't take them long to expand the Ruins to make them wider, they even gave the entrance a large door big enough for larger monsters to enter through.

After the expansion, we now have enough space for not only more homes but other types of buildings.

The dwarves added a flat four-foot rocky area and built what they called the Leader's hut on top. They even carved stairs down to the bottom.

A few feet away from the mountain, they started building hut-shaped homes with different styles for each type of monster.

The snake huts were below the mountain, the Arachne home went far east of the ruins, the goblins were far South of the mountain, and a large hut was built for Gong near the goblins.

The dwarves built their homes way behind the mountain, and they built a medium-sized doghouse inside my hut for the Fenrir wolves. As for Merch's home, it was built near the ruin's entrance.

All this was done in six hours using the trees and rocks outside the ruins. Whatever was left over went into a Resource Shed the Dwarves built for things like wood, stone, ore, and so forth.

While the dwarves were working on buildings like a Crafting Workshop, Blacksmith Den, Training Area, Mage Tower, Hunting Lodge, Assassin's Hideout, and Farming Plots. The others helped bring in more resources like food from hunting, wood and stone from mining, and other things from gathering.

And while they were doing that I was making a Resident Logbook to keep track of all the new residents. I never mentioned this but I have reached level thirteen while those three had been out looking for more residents.
