The next day, we planned to do a bit of shopping for clothes, but it all changed when Cleo said her mission was cancelled. Instead, she led me to the church to do some critical things.

After about twenty minutes of walking, we arrived at the gate of the Church of Divine Light. I couldn't help but be amazed at the grandeur of the building. With walls made of massive white stone blocks, the church was very tall and majestic. The entrance consisted of high archways with all the doors painted gold, and above them were large round stained glass windows that looked like kaleidoscopes. To my shock, I learned that this wasn't just an ordinary church or cathedral, but a major basilica for the religion that worships Aurora, the Goddess of Light!

"Good morning, Mrs. Lucarias," a young man bowed respectfully before Cleo. He wore a white ceremonial outfit, holding a golden rosary emitting faint light. He then introduced himself as a priest from the church, assigned specifically to greet us.

Seeing the priest’s attitude towards Cleo, I grew curious. I knew that Cleo worked for the Merton East Knights. However, I was unaware of her position.

"Oh, I'm the Cavalry Captain." Cleo answered right away.

"Wow!" I exclaimed.

I couldn't believe it! Cleo was the captain of the Cavalry Squad! I had no idea what the squad was like, but the title of captain alone impressed me. With black and purple armor, Cleo looked extremely stylish and cool. Her eyes were sharp and powerful, exuding authority and power. Her weapon was a great sword. The black giant sword behind her back was even larger than me and extremely, extremely heavy. Although I tried to lift it this morning, I was unable to move it even an inch.

And then the priest led us into the main hall. The large door opened, and I was once again amazed. There was even more grandeur inside than outside! The entire floor sparkling in white, with large red and gold carpets. The ceiling was high and adorned with intricate paintings, providing a stunning view of the heavens and stars. In those paintings, the stars and planets were moving as if mimicking the movement of the universe. A bit below, large chandeliers emitted radiant light, held in the air by some kind of levitation magic. There were dozens of giant statues of angels standing on both sides of the hall, each one at least ten meters tall and carved from various precious gemstones.

The most magnificent thing, however, was the statue of the goddess. The statue of Aurora was made entirely of gold. Her appearance was that of an eight-winged goddess, with four wings covering her front and four other wings spreading out. Her hair was long and golden, and her face solemn. She stood tall, commanding respect and awe from all who gazed upon her. Three large swords circled around the statue, emitting radiant light as they moved.

I looked at those swords and wondered if they were real. Could they be used for fighting or were they just for decoration? Well, either way, everything looked so dazzling, so much light, to the point that I thought the followers who pray here should all wear sun glasses.

Then, Cleo told the priest that she wanted to borrow an artifact called the Star Mirror. The priest nodded and led us to a private empty room, then left to retrieve the artifact. This was the first and most important reason for me to come here. According to Cleo, the Star Mirror could only be used inside holy places of worship that were recognized by the divine. This mirror had a very special ability, allowing people to see their constellations.

I wanted to learn how to fight, so the first thing I needed to do was a constellation check.

"Alright, nya." I nodded and looked attentively into the Star Mirror. The water surface was still and quiet. And then something moved. My constellation appeared. "Woaaah! "Snowflake nya!"

I looked at it, and recalled what Cleo said to me on the way here.

There was a saying, 'as above, so below'. In this world, the power of a person depends on their corresponding constellation in the sky. Each constellation is basically a group of stars arranged in a specific pattern. Stars are the source of celestial power bestowed on living beings, usually associated with elemental powers. For example, Lizz's constellation was Serpentis Gemini, which had the image of a two-headed snake and carried the element of plants and life. Meanwhile, Cleo's was Tempus Papilio, a butterfly-shaped constellation that brought her the power of time. As for the DeathWhizkersz, their constellation would always be Auraelis Aquilonia, which has the image of a snowflake and carries ice and space attributes.

But that was not all. Power levels also depended on how many stars in the constellation were active. It is usually only possible for a person to awaken one to two stars in their entire lifetime, through training and hardship. Anyone who activates three or more stars could be considered elite. Cleo had five stars in her six-star constellation activated. However, all DeathWhizkersz would automatically awaken all seven stars when they turned sixteen. It could be said that they were highly favored by Aquilonyan, to the point of absurdity. And that was why these white-haired and blue-eyed cat girls were so strong.
