He couldn't believe what he had discovered after reading the description of the system, and he started paraphrasing what had been spoken to him.

“So you are telling me that I am Zanpakutō....”

Affirmative

“And that I am not in the world of Bleach but in the Overlord....”

Affirmative

“And my wielder is one of the players....”

Affirmative

Then, in an attempt to calm himself down, Akumu took a long breath. While this didn't help, it did enable him to accept the new circumstances he was in. After that, he made the decision to ask about the problem that was brought up by the system when the explanations were being given.

“What do you mean by this spiritual energy gathering from my wielder?”

The host passively collects a small percentage of his wielder's spiritual energy. The more energy the user gives off, the more is absorbed.

After receiving the message, Akumu made the observation that the system was adjusting to his requirements and making an effort to provide him with the most seamless interaction possible with it.

‘At least I won't now be barraged with a million important pieces of information like a while ago.’

When the amount of energy reaches an appropriate halfway point it will be used to form newborn souls who, because of their newly created consciousness, will want to destroy everything they encounter. This means that the host will have to defeat them after which they will be converted by the system and become loyal to the host.

In recent days, the spirit has been pondering a number of issues that, in his opinion, are of the utmost importance. He started to have the impression that, despite the fact that the system seemed to learn from his interactions with it, it would be quite some time before it could independently respond to important questions.

“Ok. I have a few questions. How strong are these 'created souls'? What happens if I am unable to defeat them? And is their loyalty guaranteed permanently or just for a start and can change?”

Answering the questions in order:

Their strength depends on the combat capability of the host and its user. For the next such event, you can expect about two or three souls slightly stronger than the host.

In case the host is not powerful enough to defeat them, they will destroy everything except the throne, which will be the only safe place for the host.

Their loyalty is only initial and, depending on taken by the host actions, may change.

‘As much as I am curious as to why the Throne is being completely bypassed by them, I am more concerned about another issue.’

The fact that the algorithm is able to accurately forecast the exact quantity and power of the adversaries that would be 'generated' is a source of cause for concern. Because in most cases this suggests that something is only a very short amount of time away from occurring.

“System when will this appearance of these newborn souls happen?”

As soon as Akumu seen the counter begin to decrease, he opened his eyes wide in shock. He wasn't angry about the fact that he had so little time because he anticipated it, but he wasn't prepared for how little time he would have.

‘Fuck, shit... how am I supposed to beat them!? what am I supposed to do!? Not only do they have a numerical advantage but each of them is stronger than me.’

In a rush, he made a dash for a cabinet and a mirror that were located close. After looking about, he selected one of the empty bottles and began to shatter it in order to fashion a makeshift weapon.

‘Zanpakutō fighting with a bottle. Maybe it’s a good thing I’m not in bleach world.’

Then, at the very bottom, he discovered a container that was completely filled with a liquid of some type. He broke the seal on the bottle and inhaled the aroma of the contents.

Even though he couldn't smell anything in particular, he knew it had to be some kind of poison that affected the soul. He reasoned that it was most likely a type of widespread toxin, and that he had some background information on it as a result of his education or his occupation.

Without giving it any thought, he emptied the contents of the container onto the makeshift weapon he was working on. Because there was still more than half of the poison left in the bottle, he made the decision to bring it along with him and use it in the fight if it was at all possible.

‘As total as about the idea. I'm not exactly Zanpakutō. It looks like I'm just based on the real thing.’

After only a short period of time, there were suddenly two entities visible on the periphery of the void that encompassed them. He instantly concealed himself behind the furnishings and watched them from that vantage point.

‘Hollows… It’s good and bad thing at the same time.’

On the one hand, they are bigger and stronger than him, and on the other, they are mindless like wild animals despite their size and strength advantages. In addition, these hollows are just ordinary hollows; they do not possess any superhuman skills, and melee attacks are merely one of the few ways they can attack.

After a while, his adversaries got aware of him and began to move in for the attack. One of them landed on top of Akumu and opened his mouth as if to consume him. However, zanpakuto threw a bottle of poison directly at him, which cracked and dropped into his lips, spilling the contents of the bottle into his mouth.

Hollow shattered the mirror and immediately began flailing around frantically as it felt the agony caused by the poison penetrating him. Akumu took advantage of the opportunity by seizing one of the mirror shards and shoving it directly into Hollow's eye, which caused Hollow to howl in even more agony than before.

The abrupt power that was applied to shove Akumu backwards was tremendous. Even though he was experiencing severe pain in his chest, he proceeded to seek the source of the agony. It turned out that a second hollow had reached him and struck him so forcefully that it sent him flying back several meters.

He raised his weapon and made a dash in the direction of his opponent. Instead of striking, he slipped past him and just avoided the onslaught it was about to deliver. During the maneuver, he was successful in cutting the hollow with the sharp part of the bottle, which caused a large gash to appear on his adversary's hand.

When he got behind it, he grabbed a piece of mirror while watching the injured hollow lying next to him gradually pass away. While he was doing this, he noticed that the hollow was slowly dying. It is reasonable to assume that the massive amounts of poison that had been ingested were sufficient to kill it.

Instantaneously, he spun around and leaped at his adversary, penetrating the opponent in the back of the neck with a shard. The wound caused the hollow to wail loudly, and because of its position, it sought to bite Akumu's leg off.

Luckily, Zanpakuto still had a shattered bottle in the other hand, which he used to throw at the mask as it approached. This caused the hollow to sustain a number of cuts and scrapes on its face, which ultimately led to it avoiding Akumu's leg by the skin of its teeth.

He uses the distraction to tear a shard from the hollow's body, scoops the remaining poison onto it, and then stabs it into the hollow's forehead.

Instantaneously, he leaps away from it just as it starts flailing around in all directions, and a few moments later, the intruder falls to the ground dead.

Tired from the fight Akumu floated to his throne and sat on it to rest.
