Chapter 5 (The Rashivans are here)

I tightened my fist and looked at the two embodiments of evil standing before me and above Kegan. Kegan is not dead. The blade did not hit any vital spots of his, but I could only imagine the amount of pain he was going through.

“Are we doing this or what?”

One of them spoke. Their disgusting voices made me angrier. One of them looked at me and tilted her head to the side. And smiled.

“I know you. You’re that Commander that ran away cowardly.”

She looks at the child on the ground holding his stomach tight.

“Oh, is this your son?”

I could only curse out, I didn’t know what to do. The anger built up in me only amounted to paralysis but even with this I spoke.

“I don’t want to fight here.”

The Rashivans faced me.

“Should a coward be speaking, really? And I thought that you’d be out of the force by now.”

“This is my last battle, and I’ll make sure I kill you.”

“Hmph, big talk for someone who fears death, but sure we’ll take you on.”

He points to Phono and Lei.

“We’ll also take them on as well.”

They began to boast. Phono and Lei snarled at them and looked at me. I looked back at them and smiled insincerely.

“Teleportiò.”

(Teleportation)

With these words, the only spell I knew, the space around us was switched with the space around the wasteland that I first met Kegan. This was the same thing known as teleportation.

I intentionally skipped the space around Kegan. I could only hope that he would still be alive after the battle here concludes. This was a suitable and spacious area for us to begin our fight. After all my research and stay on the planet earth, I knew that this was not a desert but an abandoned land, seeing as how trees grew near here.

“Heloz gade.”

A spell formation began before me and a sword emerges from within. I took hold of that sword and extended it pointing towards the Rashivans before me. The one whose battle with me was not completed.

He noticed my gaze and acknowledged me. He smiled and wanted to speak.

“Let’s…”

I did not allow him to speak and attacked him with my sword. He blocked this with his blade. Two blades that were embedded in his wrist. He pushed me back and attacked me again.

“You take care of the other one, I’ll go help Trish.”

Phono ordered Lei.

“Sure.”

Lei looked at the female and smiled. Instead of getting scared, this battle rather excited her. This was her true nature.

Lei, the smartest in the universe, one who laughs in the face of death.

“You’re really enjoying yourself, aren’t you?”

She told Lei.

“Yes indeed. I can only calculate and come to the conclusion that once again, I will come out victorious.”

“Stupid dreams.”

I swing blades with him. It looks like we are both evenly matched, with no sides giving any signs for openings.

I see Phono coming from my side and signal him to stop. Because of this mere distraction, the Rashivan manages to get a hit on me. Slicing half of my ear.

I move back and touch my ear. The only thing I could feel was a slight plain and blood dropping from it.  The Rashivan moved at me again, faster than before.

I read about the speed of light and noticed that it has not been discovered here on this planet. Well, it is common among developed planets and Spunio Graila and Rashivans.

He moves at this speed or even faster and I keep up with him. We both swing our blades carelessly and wound ourselves in the process.

I leap into the air and raise my arm up. Gathering a huge amount of the energy around me, I aim it at him and shoot. The destruction ranges far and wide. The Rashivan was unable to dodge it and took it head on, leaving a few scratches on him. I expected this.

The potency of the energy on this planet is not as much as the one in outer space, and I found it hard to draw it from that far away.

His clothes have been ripped apart and it seems that he doesn’t like this one bit. He screams and approaches me in mid air.

“You bastard!! I’ll kill you!!”

He reaches out to me as fast as before.

I dodge his attack and stab him on his back. I am disappointed because the attack was not executed well so the stab was not deep enough.

I begin to teleport again around him, this time leaving no space around us. He seems to be confused but doesn’t show it. He has done a good job by keeping up with me, and I’m impressed, but he should know by now, that we are not on the same level.

I immediately release my attack. Faster than light, I pierce his chest and appear behind him with my sword covered in blood.

What is this?

This can’t be real, is it fiction?

I feel something broken, no a cut. Deep enough to make someone die.

I look below me and see my stomach being torn by the blades on the Rashivan’s wrist.

He looks at me and smiles. Even with blood dripping down his mouth and the wound on his chest, he is still able to stand.

I miscalculated. I was too cocky and didn’t cut him well enough. Even though he finds it hard to walk, the injury I inflicted is not as bad as the one I have.

He zooms at me again. I feel the tip of his blade piercing inside me, slowly, until I feel it no more.

I look around me and see Kegan who has tried his best to sit on the sofa and holds his stomach gasping for air.

I unconsciously teleported to the house and began to curse. Kegan took notice of me and saw my blood drenched clothes and my wounds and tried to aid me.

“Trish are you alright?” He asked me.

I could only smile, because even with his own weak body and the injury he has, he’s still asking about me.

“I’m fine Kegan, and I’m sorry.”

“I don’t understand.”

“I kept a lot of secrets from you even though you asked me to trust me. Forgive me for not being trustworthy and not being a good enough mother to you.”

Tears began to form in my eyes.

“What are you talking about?! You were always a good mother to me. In fact, I would never want anyone except you to look after me.”

This words made the tears finally fall down my cheeks. I decided on what my next course of action would be.

“Elai Sheba Rakh Vhan”

( Inherit my source and memories, thee who stands before me.)

With this words, my source is transferred to Kegan. This spell is used when a member of the Spuino Graila retires or chooses to transfer their source to someone else. Memories of past users will be transferred as well making it easier to use.

“Now, you will know everything.”

My eyes began to close slowly. I could hear Kegan screaming out my name. I couldn’t do anything. I could only cry. It occurred to me that this was death.

I expected it to be more climatic.

Kegan screamed and cried. Trish had already died before him, he was all alone. Powers and memories were flowing in him. His wounds healed instantly.

He knew everything about the Spuino Graila and the Rashivans. He knew about the spells and his source. He knew about Gratis and Hierachö.

He knew what must be done to avenge Trish.

Lei and the female Rashivan continue their battle. The Rashivan was having a hard time and could not land a hit on Lei, who in returned smiled at her and fought her with her eyes closed.

Lei could determine movements of her opponents even with her eyes closed, so this was no big task for her.

“Shit.” The female Rashivan spoke.

“What, tired already?” Lei mocked her.

“We’ll see about that you cocky bastard.”

She stepped back.

“Testamentez tentaculus.”

(Tentacles of the scorching flames of hell.)

Tentacles began to grow from portals behind her and attacked Lei. The tentacles were so great in number that it almost seemed that they were infinite. But Lei had no hard time evading all of them.

While Lei was focused on the tentacles before here, the female Rashivan approached her from the side.

Lei blocked of all the tentacles which moved back for a brief moment before thrusting towards her again. She smiled.

“Dunfesgaarh informah “

(Information restriction.)

This spell had no fancy light exhibitions, but it caused the tentacles to be sucked into their portals before vanishing. The female Rashivan also stopped.

“What, what did you do?”

“Do you really want to know?”

Lei erased every bit of information, that her opponent had, in relation to her own source. This was what got rid of the tentacles as she does not know how to use her source anymore. She’s unable to draw energy or move fast enough. She didn’t know how.

In other words, she was useless as a piece of garbage .

“You little…”

Before she could complete here sentence, Lei had already beheaded her. Leaving her speechless while her head slowly fell on the hot sand.

Lei looks back and sees Phono pushed away.

“What are you doing, Phono?!”

“This Rashivan here is too strong! I’m even surprised that Trish was able to land some hits on him and even almost kill him.”

Phono told Lei while gasping for breath.

Lei looked at the Rashivan and tried “Dunfesgaarh informah” again, but he was unaffected.

This could only mean that he had a power level greater than theirs.

Power levels determine a soldiers status in each group. If one’s power level is lower than his opponent, no spell or energy attacks of his will have any effect on him. Only physical attacks will be able to aid him, and this is difficult, considering that his opponent has more spells, stats and experience.

Lei squints her eyes and widens it. She turns to Phono.

“That is a high lord!!” She exclaims.

“No wonder he was able to beat Trish. Trish was an A class. I don’t think we have a chance.” Phono said.

“So what do we do now?” Lei asks.

“We can’t call for help, so I think we should just attack simultaneously.”

The Rashivan approached them extremely fast and packed a lot of energy with him.

“Here he comes!”

“Yeah!”

Phone and Lei take battle stances ready for his attack. Phono senses someone coming from above, with positive energy. This person is coming at great speed.

“I’m setting up a barrier!!” Phono shouts.

“Huh?”

Phono creates a barrier to shield them from the incoming attack.

“That won’t help you.” The Rashivan said.

“Hey freak!”

Someone shouted from above. The Rashivan looks up and sees Kegan coming at him. This doesn’t matter to him. What matters to him is the amount of energy in his hands.

Kegan holds an energy ball, the size of the moon. The Rashivan tries to enlarge his own but is unable to completely do that before Kegan arrives.

“You’ll pay for what you did!!!” Kegan continues.

“Argh!”

The Rashivan uses his own energy to stop Kegan’s but this was in vain.

The amount of destruction is great. So great that the trees and the lands are destroyed in the process. Even Phono and Lei are blown away.

The destruction ends and Kegan stands in a hole deep inside the ground. Lei and Phono recover from this attack and run towards Kegan.

Kegan looks at them and faints.

“What happened to him?”

Phono asks.

Lei’s eye begins to glow again. Now she has access to his mind. Reading everything that happened and able to detect his source.

“He’s now one of us.”
