Chapter 6 ( Trish’s Source)

I could see Trish. She was running, but from what? I looked at my finger and saw blood dripping from it. Then it occurred to me that there was an injury inflicted on Trish. 

Did I cause this? I saw myself on a pile of bodies and it looked like Trish was next. 

I didn’t know when I called out her name and sat up in my room. It was all a dream even though I had a slight headache. I laughed out loudly. That means Trish is still alive, and there are no such things as Rashivans. 

I immediately got down from my bed and ran to the living room.

“Good morning, Tri-“

I saw Phono and Lei siting opposite each other lost in thought.  

“Where’s Trish?”

I asked.

“She faded.”

Huh? She faded? What nonsense is she talking about? 

“What are you talking about? In fact, what are you doing here? Oh I get it, I’m still sleeping. Haha very funny, I can wake up now.”

Nothing happens. I begin to slap myself to wake up from a nonexistent dream. Lei gets up and slaps me instead. The slap hurts for a few seconds and stops.

“Trish is dead. Everything that happened is real. She’s not coming back.”

I looked down. I honestly did not want to accept her death, but I already decided my cry for her to be her final moan. I could only wish for hee to be safe in heaven. 

“What do you mean when you say she faded?”

I ask the both of them. 

“When a member of Spuino Graila die, their bodies turn into dust and go to the divine realm, which you call heaven here.”

Phono says.

So that’s what you mean by faded. It looks like my wish has been answered. I turned to go to my room.  I senses something coming for me at a fast speed. I turned and saw Lei approaching me with a fist. 

I had no time to react. It was a even a miracle that I could sense her punch was coming. And then it happened. Her punch sent me flying and I hit the table. 

“Owww, what was that for?!” I shouted at her. The pain of the attack was indeed much.

“I was right. I don’t sense that A class power in him anymore so he doesn’t know how to use the memories yet.”

What are they talking about?

Phono noticed my puzzled look and laughed. He began to explain what I did not understand.

Through his explanation, the source given to me by Trish granted me the memories of the past users of the same source so that it’ll be easier for me to use. But I’m unable to access them, the attack I landed on the Rashivan earlier was merely a survival instinct that pushed me to gain access.

This all came too quickly and any other person would find it hard to believe but I was shockingly unaffected. 

“Okay, uhm…I’ll be off now. I just need to have my bath.”

I said and was about to leave the room. Then Lei took hold of my wrist and pulled me back.

“We have no time for that. We have to return back to base.”

Huh? 

I forced myself out of her grasp and moved back ready for a fight which I knew that I would lose.

“Are you saying that I have to leave earth behind?!”

“Yes, you’re a member of Spuino Graila. An F or D class at best, so that makes me your superior.”

I did not like Lei at all. She was trying her best to ruin my plans. She hit me, and now she’s trying to deny me of my wishes. But I will not agree with this.

I raised up my fists and took the stance of a fighter. I’ve been trained in a small variety of martial arts, so I’m sure I can take her on. The problem is, will I win or even get out alive?

“Resistance is futile Kegan.” She continued.

This only compelled me to try harder and at least buy some time for my escape.

Phono joined in and supported his comrade, Lei.

“Yes Kegan. This is how things are. You now own a source which makes you a Spuino Graila. Every form of resistance will amount to treachery and treachery will amount to death.”

I did not waver nor show any sign of surrendering. The only think I had in mind was to escape. I could no defeat these two. There was no way I could. 

“Don’t even think about it Kegan.” Lei warned me.

I did not know what she was talking about so she proceeded to explaining.

“You’re thinking of using that vase to knock one of us out, and then try to evade the other’s attention.”

She knew? There was a flower vase behind me which I planned to use on Phono but she peered into my mind and knew. Lei was not an enemy that i would want as my enemy. 

But I still did not stop. 

 How did it happen? When…did it happen? I saw Lei in front of me, with her two fingers aimed for my eyes. It’s like my body reacted on its own but I moved to the left and dodged it, but I also fell in the process leaving me vulnerable.

Lei approaches me again but this time I was saved. Someone spoke through our heads. Telepathic waves. 

“Leave the boy, Lei.”

Lei stops and nods. Phono stands straight and looks forward.

“Stop being weird Phono.”

These two were like little children. The voice continued to speak, this time addressing me. 

“Hi Kegan. I am Yorue, commander of the Spuino Graila. I am very sorry for the death of Trish. She was an extremely good friend of mine and my rival as well, but we can only hope she finds a good place in the divine realm.”

I heard myself saying amen. This voice was calm as well as clear and manly at the same time. It almost made me bow. 

Now he addressed to Lei and Phono.

“Leave the boy. This is his hometown and all this has just come as a shock. He never knew anything about us until recently so let him recover. Of course this will not stop him from going on missions, but it will ensure that his planet is safe.”

“But commander.”  Lei protested. 

“Every other soldier is on a planet as we speak. It’s either their home planet or a new planet. We don’t deprive them of their freedom. You two chose to stay back at base with me, on your own accord , for some reason. In fact, I want you two to stay on earth and keep and eye on Kegan for me. Hm? End transmission.”

Phono shrugged and sighed while Lei was fuming. I laughed lightly and tried to brighten the mood.

“Hehe, hm I guess you’re my babysitters now.” I laughed and opened my eyes a little. I saw the two with knives aimed for my throat.

“I’m sorry!!!”

I shouted and ran across the whole house to get away from these two mad people.
