Chapter 5: (S1) Ch4: Temporary partners

World: Alestra

That kind of place where the scent of nature is strong, a forest. The sun is up, which means it's a bright day. At this point of time, there are two people, taking a stroll around, they seem to be heading somewhere. It is to a dormant volcano, The Saal.

One, is a young girl with green grass like hair tied to a pony tail, blue eyes, long ears, wearing a grey robe with red lines that has a very long sleeve, an elf in short. 

She complains, starting a conversation. "Seriously, our uniform is such a pain to deal with. Can't I change outfits, Vena?"

"Don't complain, Yuu, it's our symbol." Vena, who is also a girl with white short hair, bangs is slanted to the right, gold eyes, wearing the same clothes as Yuu. However, she has a gas mask on, which shouldn't have exist on the world they are currently in yet, judging the era's technology.

"Fine, not like you'll allow me, and I still have my loyalty to the boss." She replied, then, something seemed to have gotten her attention, as she turned to the left and took a shuriken from her pocket. "Heh, I'll just get some warm up."

Above the sky, was a passerby eagle, that is ten times larger than the normal size. Yuu, seeing that, had the intent to kill it just for fun. As Yuu was about to leap her way through the air, suddenly, gold transparent screens appeared on all her sides, caging her. 

Thus, Yuu is frustrated. "Hey! Why did you stopped me!? Get this barrier of yours out!"

"I won't listen to you." Vena, replied with a deep threatening voice. "Don't waste your time playing with mobs, we won't gain anything from that."

"Eh! But I want to have some fight!" Even though she pleaded, she can't do anything but watch the eagle's slowly vanishing figure. "Aw! It got away! It's all your fault!"

"I don't care, we're having a big fight later so it's better to conserve our energy." After saying so, she released the barrier. "And I think you should also get that mouth of yours out."

Giving up, Yuu started sulking as she looked away, while clenching her teeth. "...whatever!"

Only a little time just passed, and after traveling a few kilometers by foot, the two are now walking down to the long path of the steep stairs on the side of a cliff.

"Haha, it's very hot in here." Yuu remarked, which is true since there is a blazing pool of magma ready to meet them if they fall.

"Of course, we're in a volcano afterall, and don't forget that it's a dragon's lair, so you better keep quiet."

Then finally, they reached all the way down, and is now standing behind a huge rock, watching a sleeping dragon with red scales, just like what Vena said about this being a dragon's lair.

'...so they really do rest around this months.' Vena thought. 

"Just how obvious can this location be. Anyways, do we really need a plan?" Yuu whispered, eager to be on battle already. However, her question was useless as she smirked and immediately rushed towards the dragon.

Seeing her blatant action, Vena sighed and frowned. "...that idiot."

"Oi monster! Wakey!"

As Yuu's mischievous yell was loud enough, the dragon opens his eyes, and only raised up his head, showing as if he is underestimating them. 

"Jest, thou dares to awoke me from my slumber and stand before mine?" The way the dragon talks makes him sound the superior one.

However, a large magic circle written in gold suddenly appeared below him, as the same barrier surrounds him completely, including Yuu. Though, the dragon didn't have that much reaction.

"Hmmm, a rather impressive sealing made by a mere mortal."

Vena slowly comes out confidently, and says. "Now that the barrier is successfully set, we can kill you at ease."

"...uh, I'm also inside of your seal, though." Yuu, realized.
