Chương 77: Mio ignored Yuuta!?

As far as he could remember, Yuuta was never this nervous as today.

Currently, he was sitting in the car with Sayuri beside him as they traveled to Chihiro's house for the celebration of the Trinity Cup.

Even though Shio's team were runner ups it doesn't matter. Celebrations can be called up for any event. And since the group would be busy in winter vacations, they find it more relevant to meet once before they depart to spend their time with their families.

Yuuta glanced at Sayuri and found that she was looking out of the window. Probably stressed about yesterday's event. Well, it was justifiable for her to be anxious.

Fortunately, Yuuta didn't blurt out about Mio being left on call by mistake in front of Sayuri. It was his fault and he doesn't want Sayuri to weigh down because of it.

Even today, he just asked her casually to accompany him so she could also blow off some steam.

Now the track returns to the text Mio sent last night.

She said she would talk things out but still, he couldn't help but worry about what might happen. He never wanted to hurt Mio in any way and if today she asks Yuuta to break this fake engagement he would do it without thinking for another second.

Even if it would create a whole lot of problems for Sayuri and she might again cry, there was nothing Yuuta would do against Mio's will.

'Well, let's see where this goes… '

Nearly at twelve, the duo stepped out of the car in front of the two-storey house with the nameplate 'Niharia Residence'.

"Let's go."

Sayuri followed just a step behind Yuuta as they stood side by side in front of the door before he pressed the doorbell.

*CLICK**

Not so long after, the door clicked open before a short blond-haired girl appeared on the other side, bringing a natural smile to Yuuta's face.

"Hello, Sayuri-san. Come inside."

Mio entirely ignored Yuuta's presence as she took the silver-haired maiden's hand and urged her to walk inside.

Sayuri raised her brows in perplexion as she turned to glance at Yuuta and saw his ashen expression before she stepped inside with Mio.

If it wasn't for Chihiro who walked out not so long after and invited him inside, Yuuta may not have gotten out of his shock for a quite while.

"She is just slightly pissed. Don't take it to heart, Yuuta-kun."

Yuuta turned his gaze to the only benefactor he could seek as he halted his feet which naturally caused Chihiro to pause as well since she was clinging to his arm.

Confused, she looked back only to hear Yuuta's soft tone.

"Did she tell you anything? Is she too angry?"

Chihiro's face visibly shifted to a complex one as she saw how considerate Yuuta was toward (only) Mio but thanks to the soothing warmth he was providing, Chihiro didn't lose her cool.

"Not that much, but it's better we leave the two to talk. Something better off not knowing, Yuu-kun."

Yuuta was so occupied with Mio's thoughts that he never realized how causally Chihiro regarded him now.

He stood there for several seconds. His breathing profoundly reached up to her along with the slight haze of his natural scent which made Chihiro stiffen at her spot.

Fortunately, before her expression could become obvious, Yuuta started walking again as he called for her.

"So wouldn't it be best to go upstairs?"

Chihiro's ears started heating up upon the thought of being along with Yuuta inside her room. The fluster only allowed her to nod meekly.

Yuuta sighed with his gaze lingering in the direction where Mio went with Sayuri as he wished this girls' talk would end soon. It was difficult for him to sit idly when he knew that Mio was angry with him.

But there was no other choice than to ask Chihiro about Mio's mood and pass the time like that.

The whirlwind of thoughts completely made him unaware of what expression Chihiro currently has and how much she was blushing with this unexpected yet whole-heartedly welcomed development.

'I better not let this chance go… '
