The rest of the weekend passed without any news, of course, I just stayed in the apartment doing nothing.

In large part researching on the internet about the new weapons I bought, some things worried me, but some that others I could solve at that very moment.

Of course, I was talking about the ammunition, I had the option of infusing my mana, which was impossible, or another one that consisted of using mana chargers, which were quite expensive on the market.

After a few tries, I was able to manage to recharge the weapons with the mana around me, not easy at first, but I did it in the end.

I the other gun concerns I push to the back of my mind as I don't consider them that important.

Well, about where I am, it is of course…

“So you're the new one, huh? Aren't you a little young to belong to this division?"

The one who had spoken was my new squad leader, Sanchez.

"Maybe, some problem?"

His expression slightly changed to one of surprise upon hearing my answer, but then he snapped back at me.

“No, if you are here it is because you must already be aware of what you are facing. Also, I had already checked your folder a bit before you arrived”

He turned around and entered a room where there were already people inside.

I of course followed it and immediately could visualize the people inside and what they were doing.

It was like a kind of home theater where about 50 people were sitting watching a big screen, about 3 people standing next to the screen explaining something apparently important, and some other group of people well apart in a corner of the room watching everything.

"Have a seat, we'll meet up with the whole squad when this is over"

It was what Sanchez told me before leaving with the group that was in the corner.

I went to one of the available seats in the last rows behind without thinking so much, I think it was obvious that I should pay a minimum of attention to whatever they were explaining.

After listening for more than 15 minutes, each time I was able to get in tune with the situation.

From briefly talking about how our next missions would be carried out, to the assignment of each one of them to the respective squad captains.

All my squad was reconnaissance, and the basic mission was to search all the dungeons in which some abnormality was detected.

More than that, I realized an important detail, it turns out that the method for detecting demonic energy, or what was called 'Demon Mana' to them, was very ambiguous and inaccurate.

The fact of detecting demonic mana was more of a sign that marked its existence, but that it was found in a person did not mean that he was a villain, nor did it apply to the owner of an object that was found to be affected by demonic mana.

And for this very reason, I was thoroughly interrogated the day the demonic energy in my body was detected, in my case, there was no way to prove that I was a contractor, much less a demon.

Back then I could easily claim that I had fought a demon to escape and for that reason, there was a trace of demonic mana, the detail was that I was not alone, I had no demonic mana but demonic energy and I refused to answer any questions, I that aroused high suspicion on the team in charge of this.

By the way, this Martin was present and was one of those who was explaining the details.

There was only one topic left to explain, one of the exhibitors takes the lead, his name was Galdós if I read his plaque correctly, and he also seems to have the title of General Commander.

"We are aware of the events that have occurred in the neighboring country of the Republic, particularly in one of its cities and that has certainly aroused great alarm throughout the human domain, it is the Limbo dungeon that emerged in the middle of the city of Reverot”

Without introduction and straight to the point, followed by some images on the big screen, the subject began to explain.

"The important question is that there is definitely no proof that it was caused by demons, so it must be ruled out, at least for now, what is certain is that this event is indisputably related to how they have been sneaking into into normal dungeons"

Taking a short breath, he continues speaking.

"Besides that, it's also certain that the demons are looking for something in these dungeons, we don't know what it could be due to how little we've found, but we're not going to wait idly for them to find what they're looking for either…"

Stopping abruptly, he fixes his gaze on a person in the crowd who raised his hand and would then get up from his chair upon noticing Galdos' attention.

“Is there any information about what happened in the end with the limbo dungeon?”

"It is known that the armed forces of the Republics present in the city were unable to stabilize the dungeon and it collapsed at 4:00 p.m., they had already evacuated the city or it is what they want us to believe, it is the only information that is shared among the guilds of the kingdom as of the Republic"

With that quick response, silencing the person and causing him to sit down without saying more, Galdós continued.

With that, he wanted to tell us that an entire city had disappeared from one day to the next.

“Remember that we are one of the few guilds that have taken the matter of demons into their own hands and have decided to invest funds in creating this division, being aware of this, consider yourselves as demon hunters, do not let down the Guild or the Kingdom”

His words carried weight over the audience because I could see from their expressions that their morale rose considerably.

'So demon hunters…'

It's ironic that soon after I found out that I have a demonic part inside of me, I am now a demon hunter. However, that has created a question for me.

This time it's me who raises my hand to ask a question

“The boy over there, he talks…”

Galdós responded to my gesture with his words.

“I understand that we are going to hunt down all the demons, but what if there are any good demons?”

After listening to my words, an awkward silence of at least 15 seconds was present before Galdós responded.

“Some competent person to give this young man an answer”

Managing to confuse me, one person in the crowd stood up.

"Good demons are dead demons"

After giving that prayer he sat back down as if nothing had happened.

"There you have your answer, brat"

Galdós spoke to me in a rather disappointed tone and immediately left the site accompanied by the other exhibitors.

I'm not going to get upset about that stupid slogan, saying or whatever they call it... but I can't let go of the fact that this guy is a huge piece of garbage.

Anyway, I got up from my seat when I saw that everyone was leaving in their respective groups.

I walked to where the Captain of my squadron was, who was already with a group of people, they must have been my companions.

"Since everyone is here, let's go with a few brief introductions before concentrating on the assigned mission"

Being 10 people on the team, they began to introduce themselves one after one, being at least 4 women and 6 men.

They were mostly normal, they didn't stand out in anything but one, which was extremely irritating, in fact, it reminded me of a certain person, but this one recounted a severe case of narcissism.

He kept groping one of the women and claiming delusions of grandeur.

I don't understand how others can put up with such vulgarities, but hey, let's focus on one thing at a time.

“I am Rafael, I will do my best to add some value to our work”

And without waiting for a second, one of my squadmates spoke.

"Yes, you are the Child who drew bad attention from the other squads, I was hoping I didn't have you here but now I suppose it's impossible"

“That's right, you have a really big mouth and you look pretty weak, what was that good devil nonsense? Can't we trade the kid for someone who at least won't ask stupid questions?"

Ahhh shit…

These are tremendous idiots.

I was cursing my luck when Captain Sanchez spoke.

“Keep respect in front of their noses, that boy was appointed here by the same guild master and his record says that he is capable enough to clear a D dungeon by himself.”

His words got everyone to adopt solemn and serious postures, of course, no one else spoke after that so the Captain continued speaking.

"Since everyone has introduced themselves, take a good look at their faces and remember them because from now on they are comrades in arms in what we work on in this division"

After motioning for us to follow him, he began to lead us to where we started with our first mission, which in a nutshell was to search the dungeons where he had detected demonic mana.

With such a horrible start I'm even doubting that I accepted that invitation from Maximus.
