Chapter 42: 41

A few days later.

A wild boar stood in front of Yuichi, ready to charge him.

Yuichi's both legs were cut and even one of his arms was not there. His body was covered in wounds and some even had an infection formed on them.

Yuichi constantly screamed for help with the little bit of energy he was left with but no one came.

The wild boar charged up at Yuichi and hit Yuichi's shoulder, penetrating it completely and giving him even more pain.

When the wild boar backed up a little and tried to hit Yuichi again, Yukan appeared in front of it.

"I still need to get some information from him. You have the permission to be my dinner today." Yukan said.

He took out his sword and cut the boar.

Yukan left the boar where it was and then went to Yuichi.

"Now, tell me. Where are you from and who is involved with you? If you tell me, I will stop the boar next time." Yukan said as he lifted Yuichi's head by pulling his hair.

Yuichi had been tortured for the past 9 days continuously and was only given some water in between. Moreover, the infections caused him too much pain, making him want to die.

"Alright, I'll tell you, I'll tell you. I am from Suna and the other three were with me from Suna. I don't know about the Matsuura guy, I met him for the first time on this mission." Yuichi told Yukan what he asked.

"So, no one is involved with you?"

"No. No one else." Yuichi said.

"Ok then, I won't let the boar hit you next time."

"EH? Weren't you going to release me?" Yuichi asked Yukan. He thought that he would get out now.

"Even if I untied the ropes, you won't be able to run anywhere, you don't have any legs. I'll kill you tomorrow." Yukan said and left Yuichi as he was.

He walked to Matsuura. Yukan had planned to take all the information from Matsuura and then kill him off easily but Matsuura had still not revealed anything to Yukan.

Yukan saw Matsuura knocked out. He threw a bit of water on his face and woke him up.

Matsuura was in a much worse condition than Yuichi. Matsuura's skin was peeled away, all his fingers on his hands were cut and cut marks all over his upper body. He also had similar infections as Yuichi but, the worst thing was his nose.

"Just tell me what you know and then I'll let you die, I promise," Yukan said as he sat on a rock in front of Matsuura.

"I swear, I am from Konoha like you. Please stop doing this."

Yukan hit his palm on his forehead. He did not think that Matsuura would still not give him any answer.

"You know what? I won't torture you anymore. We are in the wild forest, I used to kill the animals and birds who came to eat your meat but, the birds and animals will now make you tell me." Yukan said and got up from the rock and went back to get the boar he had just killed.

In the next few days, Yukan killed Yuichi as he said before and Matsuura was continuously eaten away by small birds.

"So, I still stopped bigger animals from coming here. Now, tell me. Where are you from and who is involved with you?"

"I-I-I am from Kumo and I have a total of 13 people with me. I was going to kill everyone on this mission and then meet them on the border and go back to Kumo with them." Matsuura said.

His arms and nose had been eaten away by the birds, he could barely speak in the excruciating pain he was suffering from.

"Nice that you told me. Since you gave me so valuable news…"

"... I am leaving, bye-bye." Yukan left.

That night, Matsuura was eaten by a pack of hyenas and Yukan had also reached the place the other 13  from Kumo were going to meet.

Yukan sat on the ground, in front of a burning fire and grilled freshly caught fish while he also praised the beauty of the [Crimson Rectus].

He got it 10 days ago after killing all the Kumo ninjas and was pretty impressed by it.

His new sword was much better than his previous one. [Crimson Rectus] had better chakra conduction, lighter weight, better balance, better hilt and it was sharper and more durable.

"Whatever it may say, my Black Katana was the best according to me… I guess it was my first love." Yukan said as he picked up one of the grilled fish and topped some spices on it.

"I'll go back tomorrow morning," Yukan said as he ate the fish.

The fish turned out to be burnt from some sides and raw from another.

"And, I can't cook either," Yukan said as he forcefully ate the half-burnt and half-raw fish.
