Symbols Drawn in Blood and Dirt

Rhiannon is hiding in a traveling carnival, playing a fortune teller. In truth she's a witch on the run from her sister, but everyone in the carnival is on the run from something in their past and no one asks questions. Especially not Jess, her friend and the niece of the carnival owner. Then a stranger finds her, knows her name, and gives her an ancient book, one that her sister is searching for. That night at a festival after dancing with Jess she meets a girl and they dance and they can't stop looking at each other. The next day the stranger and one of the acrobats is found dead. Desperate to find someone to replace the acrobat the carnival owner hires the girl from the festival. Jess has a bad feeling about the girl, especially the way she looks at Rhiannon. As they go from town to town secrets are revealed, bonds are tested and broken by betrayal. In the end will they be able to overcome their secrets and save themselves, and maybe, the world?
