"Did you feel that?" Simon looked back at where they came from. He had felt a burst of energy coming over yonder and his curiosity.
'I don't think we should get involved.' Rawr replied.
"Eh... Why?"
'Whoever is fighting is... powerful. Best not stick our head into things we have no business in.'
"Rawr is right. Let us be away from here." Maria chimed in. She looked extremely serious, as she to looked in the direction the remnant wave of holy energy was coming from.
"Ok... But we really need to stop and evolve itsy and Whiskers."
"That we shall, master. Let us just create a safe distance first." Witch was the one that answered this time. Given how quiet she tended to be, it only proved the seriousness of the situation.
'To get our mind off... Whatever that was, do you have an idea of what you want Itsy and Whiskers to evolve into? I made sure to get plenty of options.' Rawr thought out, pride clear in her voice.
"Don't really know... Any suggestions? My idea was just turning them into angelics."
Both Maria and Witch looked at him in shock and horror.
Simon looked back, visibly confused.
"What did I say?"
'Master. I believe that means you are going to be killing a lot of their sisters if ever wanted to get them to tier 5.'
"Oh. OH! I don't mean it that way! I just thought since my abilities seem to be supercharged for angels it would be good to get more?..."
Their expressions softened as Maria said.
"We know you did not mean it that way, my little lord. We are just so conditioned to think of it as a heresy that it is sometimes hard to forget that we are no longer of the order."
Something clicked in the back of Simon's mind.
"Wait... How do you tier up anyway? I never heard of a feral or aquatic angel."
"Same as any monster girl. Simply that our celestial nature more often than not overpowers whatever variants are contained in the 'rare drops' to change us. They become simple power-ups." Maria answered regaining her motherly aura.
'Huh. I wonder what would happen if they are stuck with draconic 'rare drops'.' Rawr always the enthusiast joined the conversation.
"Celestial dragons." Came a quiet answer from Witch.
Everyone looked at Witch.
"They exist?!?" Simon exclaimed.
"Yes..." Witch became incredibly shy but held her ground trying not to bolt behind Simon.
'Fucking Hypocrites.' came an angry pout.
'I... don't... understand... why?... hypocrites?...' Hiss tried to be a part of the group conversation but anything more complex than the direct approach tended to go over her head.
'Awww... Do not worry Hiss. You are not being neglected. The adults are just discussing how to make your sisters stronger.
'Ok...' The voice shut down sounding content. Out of everyone here, Hiss had the easiest time, her primitive mind removing the need to worry about tomorrow and only focus on the now.
"We are creating tangents. Let us come back to the issue at hand. Master, what would you like your first two companions to eventually become?" Maria turned completely into her mama mode

"Anything is fine... I am not the type of person that wants to micro-manage every aspect of my monster girls. I just want to have a good time with you all while we go on epic adventures." Simon answered proudly.
Maria looked back at him in a way that made him feel that everything will be fine in the world.
"How about we just let them choose?"
'He can do that?!'
"I can do that?!?"
Maria gave out a musical laugh as she stated.
"Master, I sometimes forget how sheltered you can be. Here is a question. Do I, a centuries-old angel, understand myself and my needs better than you?"
'No.'
"No."
Maria blushed and coughed into her hands as she said.
"Ahem! Bad example. Anyway, they can choose for themselves if you choose to let them."
With a thought, he brought out both Itsy and Whiskers into their natural forms.
Whiskers looked annoyed, likely because he had ruined her nap which was her second favorite activity, right after giving him 'surprise suckles'.
Itsy looked at him with her normal thoughtful self, her four completely red eyes slowly blinking at him.
"Sorry Whiskers, but this is important so both of you listen up."
Whiskers looked at him with more intent and Itsy tilted her head.
"So Maria gave me the idea that I should let you decide how you want to evolve into tier 4s."
Itsy's eyes widened as she looked at him in shock. Whiskers just blew raspberries at the statement and plopped onto the ground where she stood prompting Simon to recall her back into her equipment form.
"Figures the super-powered house cat would not care. How about you, Itsy? Wanna decide your own fate?"
Itsy started bouncing from her right set of legs to her left one clearly deep in thought.
They once more picked up their pace trying to put more distance from whatever was happening.
After a couple of minutes of thought, she nodded pointing to herself.
'I think she wants to decide for herself. Thank my dawn that I never have to do deal with any of that nonsense, all I have to do is sit around and wait for your mark to become stronger.'
"What do you mean by that?" Simon asked, he had never heard of this statement before.
'Oh! See! I and Hiss are not like your other monster girls. We increase in tiers based on the level of your 'Mark of the Incubus'. I and Hiss are living the good life!'
"Huh?" Simon could only ask dumbly, that felt like a giant bomb.
'The only reason I even am a dragon because the mark could not add anything outside of turning me into an infernal variant so like the angels it empowered what was already there. Namely the microscopic amount of draconic power that any drake has and made it bloom. Normally that would not be enough to turn me into a dragon, I would be a wyvern at best. But whoever your mother was must have been an epic monster 'cause you had the juice to push me all the way.'
"Wait... What?!?"
