Day 237,
Feeling better now after a good night’s sleep. Well, good as I can get on the ground anyway. Starting to get sort of used to it by now though.
Checked in with everyone else after waking up. We all agreed that, for our various reasons, we should probably steer clear of the Overlook for the rest of our stay.
The more I examine that book the stronger the nagging sensation that I should be recognizing something or putting pieces together gets. It’s honestly getting to be rather frustrating.
At our current rate, I’m estimating that we’ll finish the transcription in another three or four days. Plus another day or two for copying the illustrations. Somehow. Probably want to split that up with at least one day of rest/exploration in the middle. Makes me worry a little bit that we might wind up cutting it close for the next mist night on our trip back.
I almost hate to say it, but I’m reaching the point where I’m eager to just head back home again. Adventure is nice and all, and I don’t regret coming out here in the slightest, but I’ve grown to like my daily routines. And my little house. And my bed.
