Chapter 10: Ch. 10 First mission.

**Extremely sorry for not posting earlier, I was again at my grandma's place.**

After waking up, I noticed that Pearl was already up. It has become normal for me after the first two times. I think she might be having some trouble sleeping. I would ask her, but then, she was not really tired throughout our travel. 

She was again training her skill. This time however she did have a way to level it up without fighting, since she can create constructs overall, not only claws. 

Anyway, after we got dressed, we went into the Adventurers Guild, to get a well paying commision, so we are able to buy some clothes. 

We picked a commision to defeat some horned wolves, a small pack to be exact. It should give us a few gold coins, which will be enough to buy some clothes. 

After we went into the wild, we walked for, about an hour in the direction we were shown, until we found a cave. 

We expected the wolves we were hunting to be there, so we prepared a plan. 

First we made some racket around the entrance, for some wolves to come out. Out of the cave came out two wolves, one smaller than the other. 

We quickly made up another plan. Pearl then jumped out of our hiding spot, making the wolves focus on her. 

This gave me the chance to hit the smaller beast to it's snout. 

The bigger one noticed what happened, thought that Pearl was only a distraction, and attacked me. 

Pearl, having made a blade like construct, from her blood, hit it on the side of it's head. 

I had managed to get a few more hits in on the beast before me, before it managed to attack me. This was a useless effort however, because of my new skill. 

I used it, and created a round shield, which after absorbing the hit, had exploded, thanks to my other skill. It hurt the creature's front right limb enough to be lethal in the long run.

I then tried a different combination of skills, first punching the wolf, with 'Light infusion', and then using 'Light burst' to cause even more damage. 

That finished it off, and as it flopped onto the ground, I turned to see my friend in a literal bloodbath, after impaling her foe on a spike of blood, and tearing it's head apart from it's body. 

The spike retreated into her body, along with all the blood that seeped out of the bigger wolf. 

Her clothes were also bloody, but it was quickly dissapearing, as her body passively absorbed it. 

"How did you do that?" 

She was panting, and it took her a bit, before she managed to answer my question "I uhh... I had a lot of blood stored in me, from all our previous fights." 

"Do you need to rest? We will fail the commision if you aren't in the best shape for fighting. We might even die." 

"Yeah, uh... a rest would be... alright."

That was when she started collapsing. I caught her, and then carried her about twenty, or thirty meters away from the cave. 

I layed her down, and then sat myself, in a spot, where no one would see us. It was then, that I started to notice some things in my companion. 

Her black hair, going into a white color somewhere in the middle, her pearly white, unblemished skin, her beatiful face, it all added up into her image, of a beatiful, yet dangerous woman. 

Then, as she was laying down, and I was sitting right beside her, she took my hand, and my heart started beating extremely fast. 

Did... did she awaken something in me?
