I walked into the arena room. I saw Kaizu in his usual spot where he takes notes. I walked up to him.
"Hey, Kaizu."
"Hi," he said softly.
I sat next to him. Wondering what was going through that mind of his. Suddenly, we heard the entrance doors open. All of us looked toward them. It was Akiro. He was back again. I turned to Kaizu. He had a look of frustration. I was concerned.
"Why are you back here?" Kaizu asked.
"Well, I came here to fight. Isn't that the whole point of this?"
"If you came here to fight. Then-"
"Fight me!" I said cutting off Kaizu.
I didn't know what happened. I had just asked to fight a guy who was ranked 6th. I couldn't back out now.
"Alright then. Come on."
We stepped onto the platform. Akiro looking at me with a cold glare. I can do this, I told myself. I got another chance to show my skills in combat. I didn't know if I would win or lose. But I sure knew I wouldn't give up. I took a deep breath.
"Battle Mode: Solo Rank System! Start!" both of us shouted.
I formed a standard broadsword in my right hand. Akiro formed his katana in his right hand as well. We both charged forward.
Clang!
The sound of the clash rung out. We were both pushing against each other's sword. Then, we both pulled our sword back and clashed again. He swung at different angles trying to land a hit. I blocked every one of them. Akiro was getting frustrated. He probably thought this would've been an easy match for him. But I was pushing back slowly.
"You're good. I apologize I have to do this," he placed his palms on the floor.
The barrage again! I readied myself for the attack.
"Release Element: Vine Prison," he said with a grin.
"Wait wha-"
Before I could finish, dark-green vines shot out from the ground. They grabbed my legs, arms, etc. I couldn't move at all. He stood up and walked closer to me.
"You thought it was my barrage, correct?"
He knew. I didn't know what he'd do next. I was immobilized.
"Since you're all wrapped up with vines. I guess that makes things easier for me," he smirked.
3rd Person POV
Kaizu knew he couldn't interrupt the match, but he wanted to help. He knew Hyuri was no match for him. All he could do was watch as the fight went on. But how long would it last for?
"You know. I thought you had potential. But now I just think you're a small little ant trying to fight a big and strong spider," Akiro had told him.
Akiro gripped his katana tightly. And stabbed his chest like he did to Kaizu.

"Anything else you want to say?" he asked.
"Just one thing..."
Hyuri closed his eyes.
"And that is?"
"Karai: Aoi..."
Hyuri opened his eyes. They weren't the usual light purple. Instead both of his eyes were an illuminating blue. Akiro was stunned.
"What the hell is up with your eye?!"
"Oh, that. Don't worry about it," Hyuri said. "Lightning Resonance: Shockwave!"
He discharged electricity and disintegrated the vines.
"I guess this'll be harder than expected. But whatever I will take you down either way," Akiro said, confidently.
Hyuri took out the katana that was in his chest with his open hand. Akiro jumped until they were pretty far from each other. About a few yards.
"Earth Resonance: Vine Barrage!" Akiro yelled.
Vine shot out and headed toward Hyuri. But he wouldn't just let them hit him. He began hacking away at the thick dark-green vines with both blades. Akiro kept them coming.
"How long are you gonna keep this up for?" Hyuri asked Akiro.
"Until your arms are exhuasted, duh."
"Guess I have to end this."
Akiro kept summoning them until... he was gone. Hyuri had disappeared. Akiro was looking at him, and he was just gone.
Thud!
Akiro had hit the ground hard. He looked up. It was Hyuri. He was confused.
"I didn't even see you move," he said, confused.
Hyuri had moved faster than Akiro could see. At last, Hyuri was finally able to win.
"Earth Resonance: Spike Barrage!" he slammed his palms against the ground.
Spikes emerged and shot at Hyuri. He dropped the swords. Akiro took one and stabbed him. Hyuri coughed a bit of blood. His eyes returned to normal.
"I... surrender," Hyuri said sounding exhausted.
It was over. Hyuri had lost. The barrier vanished. Kaizu walked onto the platform. He helped Hyuri up and walked him to the nurse's office.
