Chapter 3: Chap 3 – Rosalina

Rosalina Ricjohn was accepted by a sect at the age of 12, but she discovered she had no talent.

In a sect, the talented are separated from the rest and left to fend for themselves.

Rosalina started working for enemy groups to survive.

After a few years of working in this manner, she began to gain the respect of the enemy sect’s members. In particular, a group of young men who called themselves "The Seven Sages". Due to their knowledge of various subjects, they were impressed that the girl they had taken under their wing could be so useful in espionage. She became a valued asset for them but was still considered too weak to join their inner circle.

One day, Rosalina was given the mission to assassinate her sect master.

Rosalina had been preparing for days. Finally, she would be able to change her life.

Her plan was simple: she would poison him unnoticed.

That night, Rosalina crept into the room where her Sect Master slept; he snored loudly as always and looked like an old man suffering from malnutrition.

She stood over him, watching him sleep until his breathing stopped and his chest went soft.

But her plan didn't work; to her surprise, it had already been discovered.

She tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move.

She had no intention of fighting back, as she expected to be attacked by anyone for trying to kill her sect's leader.

"What is the meaning of this?" he asked her coldly.

"It was my fault; I thought that I could do this," she said apologetically, hoping they wouldn't kill her.

He stared at her for a moment as if trying to read her mind before responding, "You're not strong enough."

Rosalina nodded in shame and fear. He continued, "I don't want to see you again." He turned away from her without another word, and Rosalina was dragged away into the dark.

Rosalina would be publicly expelled.

That was the biggest humiliation she could go through. No sect would accept her.

Rosalina was broken and desperate.

Rosalina was humiliated in front of a crowd.

No one helped.

She decided to seek help from the group that asked for the job but was kicked out again.

This time, she wasn't allowed back in.

They told her she was too weak, even though she'd done everything they wanted.

Rosalina was rejected by everyone.

She was alone.

After she left, a group cornered her.

She knew she didn't have a chance, so she gave up.

In contrast, a leader of her sect unexpectedly offered assistance. The leader of the sect was attractive, charismatic, and affable.

He had beautiful black hair and was dressed in an extremely elegant outfit.

His aura was similar to that of a god.

The Master of the sect offered to take her on as his disciple, and he promised to teach her all he knows about magic.

Rosalina agreed instantly because she needed something to keep her alive now that she had nothing else going for her.

He was the first person to tell Rosalina that she had talent.

His sect’s house (base or similar) was extremely large. A house filled with various treasures, an air full of mana.

At first, she thought it was just a bluff, but as she trained, she noticed an incredible improvement.

Her skills grew quickly.

Even when he saw her power, he never raised his guard against her; instead, he treated her kindly and showed great care toward her.

Over time, she came to trust him more than anyone.

When she finished her training, Rosalina quickly went to tell her master.

She wanted him to compliment her, but he did more than that.

He gave him an extremely powerful sword.

The sword he gave her could easily be an immortal-killing sword.

There was a chance that, if she used it, she could achieve immortality for herself.

Rosalina felt overwhelmed by the gift; she couldn't believe how generous he was.

So she bowed deeply to thank him.

For the first time, Rosalina felt loved.
