Chapter 11: Chapter 10. Set Sail For Logue Town

The mansion was quite lively compared to the usual days. The servants kept preparing many things because of the order given by the head of butlers, Marry.

He had found out that today the young miss along with her friends were going to leave the village to continue their sail in the massive sea.

He wasn't planning to stop them, not now at least when the young miss was fully cured and happy with her friends. He was sure that not even the parents of the young miss would have stopped her today.

As the oldest butler of hers and someone who raised her after her parents died, it was his responsibility to arrange the necessary things which would be useful to them on their journey.

He even hired some people from the village to work on the ship. The ship which was named Merry belonged to young miss parents however they were never able to use it but now, it seems that their daughter would set sail in that ship.

"What are you all doing? Can't you do some work hurriedly?" Marry shouted at the servants who were carrying a large bag to put it on the ship.

He then went to the other place where the ship was getting repaired or should he say a little modified. Even though the ship was good, he still believed that some things could be changed in it to suit the needs of the young miss.

No one said anything to the grumpy old man as they all knew the care he had for the young miss. They even talked among themselves and laughed in amusement when they saw him glaring in their direction.

He was acting like a mother who didn't want her daughter to leave her for another home yet at the same time, he also wanted her to be happy.

Even though the entire mansion was noisy, it didn't affect the girls and Alex who were comfortably sleeping in their respective rooms.

They had come back to the mansion yesterday night and directly went to sleep. The moment they lay on the bed, they instantly fell asleep as it was quite comfy compared to the surface of the island where they had slept for 7 nights.

After sleeping for two more hours, Alex finally opened his eyes and stretched his arms, yawning in sleepiness. Rubbing his eyes, he walked inside the bathroom to take a quick shower to clean himself.

After he was done taking a shower, he wore the t-shirt that was given to him by Nami and then walked downstairs to get something to eat.

Stopping one of the servants who seemed to be in a hurry, Alex asked him to serve breakfast at the dining table. Walking beside the servant, Alex curiously asked him the reason behind the sudden commotion inside the mansion.

When he found out the reason, he couldn't help but shake his head. Wasn't the head butler aware that Kaya doesn't plan to leave them here?

Not saying anything about it, he sat on the chair and patiently waited for his breakfast to arrive. His observation haki picked up the 3 familiar presences which were heading toward the dining table.

The trio of girls greeted him with a smile and then they also took their seats to have breakfast.

Alex curiously looked at all of them, trying to see the changes that happened while he was away from them for 6 days. After all, he didn't plan to protect them for the entire week from the shadows.

The girls have gotten a little thick in certain areas. Their muscles which used to look quite frail in the beginning were now nowhere to be seen. The aura around them has drastically changed compared to before.

"Kaya, you haven't notified Marry that they are going with us?" Alex asked curiously and was quite surprised when she shook her head in denial. "Why though? You didn't want to leave them behind if I remember correctly."

"They would be happier and safe here," Kaya spoke in a serious tone, knowing full well that those people might drag down her captain in the long run.

"It's best for them to stay here. I too wanted to be my villagers with me, however, I dropped that idea." Nojiko agreed with Kaya on this decision. As the first crew member, she doesn't want the other crew members to bring burdens to the ship.

While they were talking among themselves, the servants began to serve them breakfast before they all went to help the other servants in packing the ship.

"Captain, do you want to go to Logue town first or directly enter the GrandLine?" Nami asked with a calm expression, getting into her job as a navigator of his ship. She only needs to know about the place where they would be heading, as for the way, that's her responsibility to prepare for.

"We'll be heading to Logue town first. We'll have to buy some stuff there which we can't find in this village." Alex spoke while eating breakfast. "We are also heading there for a new crew member though we might need to kidnap her."

The girls narrowed their eyes in suspicion, not because of kidnapping someone, it was because another member of their crew was going to be a woman.

"Are you perhaps making a crew with only females?" Nojiko asked with a small smile, trying to hide the dangerous glint in her eyes.

"Hmm….." Alex didn't say anything, instead he calmly kept eating his food. "There are going to be many females in the crew in the future however I will also add guys."

A thoughtful look appeared on Kaya's face though it was soon replaced by a smile. "You can leave the next crew member on me, captain. I'll make sure to kidnap her for you." She spoke with an innocent smile much to the irritation of the other girls. They knew that she was trying to use this to show her strength to him.

"I can also help you, Alex. After all, with my devil fruit ability, no one would be able to do anything to save the new crew member." Nojiko also wanted to help him and show him that she has developed her power a lot after he left them.

Only Nami kept quiet as she was quite angry. She just realized that it was very necessary to have a devil's fruit otherwise she would always have to stay behind the other crew members.

"I can simply catch her and then fly back to ship, Nojiko," Kaya spoke with a smirk on her face.

"I can do the same and it would be best if I do this since you can't fly for a long time unlike me…" Nojiko replied with an amused giggle causing Kaya to glare at her with a hateful expression.

Alex simply shook his head at the quarrel that was happening among them. He ignored them and turned to look at Nami. "I know that you two can develop a lot in the least time with those devil fruits of yours however today, I wanna see how much Nami has improved herself." His words instantly calmed the situation as now both of them were openly glaring at Nami who was quite surprised at the sudden task.

"I will not let you down, Alex." Saying that she began to eat her food once again, not paying any attention to the jealous gazes that she was getting.

The rest of the breakfast was done in silence and then they walked out of the mansion to head toward the shore where the ship was docked.

On the way, many people smiled in their direction, mainly toward Kaya who was known throughout the village when she was just a healthy kid.

On the shore, there were two ships quite near each other. One belonged to Alex who took it from Buggy pirates while the other ship was the famous Merry.

Without saying anything, Nami climbed the first ship and went straight into her room to get those bags filled with the money that she had collected for a long time.

After taking out the bags, she climbed onto the other ship. She didn't even have to choose a room since it was already done by the butler Marry who even placed the stuff that they had bought last week inside it.

Kaya and Nojiko also climbed on the ship and began to wander inside the ship to check out every part of it.

Alex took the tangerine tree from the old ship and placed it on the backside of the new ship before he sat on the figurehead which was shaped like a goat head.

"How is it?" Alex asked, turning his head to look at the trio of girls.

"It was very good." Nojiko praised it with a small smile.

"Mm. It's better than our previous ship." Nami agreed with her sister.

"It seems that Marry has changed some things inside the ship. It didn't have separate rooms when I came to this ship in my childhood. Though it is a good thing." Kaya spoke calmly, happy that the butler did something like this.

"Oh? Separate rooms?" Alex's jumped down from the figurehead and walked inside the ship to see the changes that has taken place in the ship because of his presence.

Inside the side, the first thing that he came across was the kitchen. Though it could be called a living room as well due to its size of it.

He entered the second gate and saw many doors side by side with a large empty area where multiple sofas and chairs were placed. Every door had an owner's name on it so the crewmembers won't go into the wrong room.

In the corner, there were two staircases. One was going to the second floor while the other one was going to the basement. He first climbed up and saw only two rooms there, a bathroom and the helm room.

After that, he climbed down and went inside the basement before he came back to the deck where the girls were present along with the servants of Kaya mansion.

"Are we ready to leave now?" Alex asked, looking at the girls. The duo of sisters walked to his side and stood beside him.

"Marry is getting very sentimental regarding Kaya's departure," Nojiko spoke with a small smile. She could see that Marry was quite similar to her father-like figure Genzo.

"He acted as her parents for a long time so it is inevitable that he'll get emotional," Alex said calmly and then walked inside the ship, followed by Nami while Nojiko stood outside.

After some time, Marry finally said goodbye and climbed off the ship along with the other servants. Nojiko lifted the anchor with her devil fruits and stood on the deck along with Kaya.

"Bye, Bye, everyone." Kaya with a sad smile waved at everyone. She was sad that she needed to leave Marry here however she didn't want to burden him or her captain because of her selfishness.

After some time, the villagers couldn't be seen anymore so she walked inside the ship along with Nojiko.

The ship also began to float in the sky slowly while its speed of it kept increasing. Though for some reason, it got down on the water once again and began to sail in a certain direction.

"Why it isn't flying anymore?" Kaya curiously asked while sitting next to Alex on the sofa.

"Nami's dream is to draw a map of the entire and so of course, she wants to sail on the sea instead of flying in the sky," Alex replied with a smile, not giving this much thought. After all, with his devil fruit, he could always increase the speed of the ship so it doesn't matter to him whether it flies in the sky or sails on the sea.

"By the way, you still haven't told me about the target." Nami reminded him with a serious expression. Having information on her target would be quite beneficial for her.

"Her name is Tashigi, a clumsy swordswoman. She is a Marine and has quite a good position in the Logue town Marine base……"
