Chapter 12: Chapter 11. Chaos In Logue Town

It's been 2 days since the crew left the village and set sail for Logue town. The ship now has a giant jolly roger attached to it on which a skull could be seen with a sword piercing the left upper side and going down the right side.

The deck had a lot of space so the trio of girls used it as their training ground. Though they made sure that they wouldn't bring any harm to the ship, at least not until they could find a better ship.

Nojiko spent most of her time either developing her devil fruit powers or reading about plants. Kaya had a lot of books related to medicine and plants which were now inside one of the rooms of the ship.

Nami on the other hand kept doing physical work out to strengthen her body. Since she didn't know when she'll get the perfect devil fruit for herself, she decided to train her body.

Kaya on the other hand kept staying close to Alex, almost all of the time. She now didn't even care if the other girls knew about her intention of wooing Alex into a relationship with her.

Alex on the other hand was quite in a good mood during these two days. He now had a girl who was actively acting like his good wife and was willing to help him a lot. For example, he sometimes uses her lap as a pillow to take a good nap.

These two days were considered a break for everyone from the training that they did on the island. Starting today, everyone will have to spend at least 2-3 hours inside the island to keep developing themselves.

"Captain, I can see the Logue town now." Nami suddenly spoke in a loud tone, looking at the distant island from a small telescope.

Alex, who was sleeping on a sofa in the middle area of the ship, opened his eyes and looked at the far distance using his observation haki. 

Lifting his head from Kaya's lap who looked quite unhappy, he walked toward the figurehead and stood beside Nami. With a serious tone, he spoke to her."Make sure to buy the necessary things in stock even if you have them. After this, it would take us a lot of time to reach the next place where we could stock necessary stuff."

"Don't worry captain. I have prepared a list of the items that we need to stock." Nami proudly patted her chest with a big smile. "Though the items would be bought by Kaya and Nojiko since I need to kidnap that marine."

"You don't need to worry much, Nami. I'll make sure to buy everything. I just hope that the list doesn't have any mistakes." Kaya spoke with a giggle, walking to their side slowly.

"My list doesn't have any mistakes, Kaya. Well, you might make some mistakes if you don't know how to read." Nami immediately replied with a look of disappointment. "If you want, I can teach you how to read and write, Kaya." Saying that she looked at Kaya with a pitiful expression.

"Oi, what's that expression supposed to mean?" Kaya glared at her with a furious look, light could be seen appearing on her hands.

"Oh…? You are going to fight your crew member and that too in front of the captain." Nami asked with a surprised expression as if she wasn't expecting something like this to happen. Though anyone could see the smirk on her face when she looked at Kaya.

Before they could continue to bicker with each other, pressure descended on their body, making their breathing rigid and cold sweat began to appear on their forehead.

"I don't have any problem with you bickering with each other like some children, however, if any of you ever decided to attack each other in the future, don't blame me for throwing you inside the top area of the island," Alex spoke in a calm tone while using Conqueror haki on them. It continued for some more moments before he withdrew the Conqueror Haki back. "I hope you two will understand that fighting among the crew members is strictly prohibited." He then walked back and sat on the sofa.

"It happened because of you…" Nami glared at Kaya with a hateful expression. It was all going well however Alex only got angry because Kaya planned to attack her.

Kaya gritted her teeth and in the end, she took a deep breath. "I apologize for my earlier behaviour, Nami." She spoke with a serious tone then she walked toward Alex's side, not caring about Nami's shocked expression.

"Good decision." Alex smiled at her and motioned her to sit beside him. "I hope you will not attack your fellow crew members in the future." He said with a calm tone and placed his head on her lap, feeling her soft thighs through her clothing.

"Mmm. I won't make the same mistake as before. I promise that to you, Alex." Kaya agreed with his words with a small smile on her face. She didn't care if she had to apologize to someone she just fought with. All she cared about was the fact that she managed to raise her image in his mind.

The ship once again fell into a moment of silence which was only broken when Nojiko came out of the ship's cabin. "Are we there yet?" She asked with a bored expression, wanting to walk on the land once again. It was quite different when she was on a flying ship, however now, she feels endless boredom.

"We are almost there, Nojiko," Kaya said with an amused chuckle. She knew how boring Nojiko was feeling these days.

"Thank God." Nojiko sighed in relief and then she went to sit beside Kaya. "What happened to her?" She asked curiously, looking at her sister who was sulking all alone while standing near the figurehead of the ship.

Without hiding anything, Kaya began to tell her about the things that occurred here. After listening to all of it, Nojiko couldn't help but shake her in disappointment.

"Didn't I tell you two to stop fighting? I'm sure that I had warned you both that Alex might get angry because of it." Nojiko looked at Kaya with a confused expression.

"I-I couldn't hold back my anger," Kaya spoke with a regretful expression. After Alex, Nojiko was the second person that Kaya had begun to appreciate. They have gotten pretty close since they both liked the same person and have genuine feelings for him.

Nojiko didn't say anything, instead, she stood up and walked toward her little sister. These two girls need to understand that they had to stop with the meaningless fight no matter what as only after that they would be able to help Alex in his journey.

After some time, the ship finally reached the dock of Logue town. Nojiko, using her powers, threw the anchor into the sea and then they all climbed down from the ship.

Without saying a word to each other, everyone went their separate ways. Nami went all alone to kidnap that female marine officer while Nojiko and Kaya walked together to buy the things that were written on the list.

Alex had two reasons to come to this town. The first was to kidnap Tashigi to make her a part of his crew while the second one was to get that devil fruit which should be somewhere in this town yet away from everyone's gaze.

So without wasting any time, he disappeared from his place and appeared on one of the roofs of a house inside the town. "I'll have to waste a lot of time checking every place to find that devil fruit, however, the result would be very good for me in the future."

Nami walked inside the town with a small smile on her face while looking around herself in curiosity.

Even though she appeared to be sightseeing, however, in reality, she was just checking the locations where she could hide along with the hostage after her work was done.

On the way, she saw many types of shops that stood out more than the rest of the shops. There were two clothes shops, one was for rich people while the other shop seems to be for poor people. She initially wanted to buy some clothes for herself however she dropped that idea since she was aware that she would waste a lot of time here buying nothing.

She also saw a fish market and an antique house near it. She also saw an arms shop some distance away from those two previous shops.

After walking for some more time, she finally saw the Marine base in Logue town. She went a little close to it and tried to find the person that her captain had told her about.

Though after observing for some more time, she couldn't find anyone matching the same description as the person that she was looking for.

So she went near one of the low-ranking marines. "Can you tell me where I can find the marine officer Tashigi?" She politely asked with a small smile on her face.

"Senior officer Tashigi? She went to the execution platform some time ago." The marine officer told her calmly before he entered the marine base.

Nodding to herself, Nami asked some residents about the location of the execution platform and then she walked toward it after finding out its location.

When she was near the centre of the town where that execution platform was located, she finally saw that woman, mumbling to herself while reading a small catalogue.

"Found her." Nami didn't take action instantly, instead, she calmly observed her surroundings to see if there were some troublesome people near them.

When she was sure that everyone was just a civilian, she disappeared from her place using Soru and appeared in front of Tashigi. Quickly grabbing her, she once again disappeared and entered a valley.

Tashigi immediately made some distance between herself and the person who brought her into this dark alley. Taking out her sword, she pointed it toward the kidnapper. "Who are you?"

"I am Nami, a navigator of the Flying Pirates." She introduced herself with a small smile. "My captain wishes to make you a crew member so he sent me here."

"Tell him that I'm not interested in being a pirate. I am a dignified marine officer and I'll never leave the Marines." Tashigi spoke with a serious expression, fixing her spectacles with her thumb.

"I'm sure he knew that too, officer Tashigi. Still, he has given me an order to kidnap you so I can't do anything about it." Nami spoke in a calm tone and disappeared from her position.

Tashigi hurriedly looked around herself however she couldn't see the kidnapper. Sadly for her, Nami didn't plan to give her any change.

Nami did a karate chop at the backside of Tashigi's neck causing her to fall unconscious on the ground. Though Nami immediately grabbed her before she could fall to the ground.

"She is here, everyone." A lot of marine officers entered the dark alley from both sides and surrounded Nami. "You can't leave this place, pirate. Surrender yourself."

Nami cautiously looked at them. It wouldn't be a problem if they were in an open area as it would give her a lot of space to move. Sadly, she was in a valley and was surrounded by a lot of marine officers who had pistols in their hands.

Though before any of the officers could even move, they were suddenly grabbed by vines that came out of the ground. They shouted in anxiety however they could do nothing as they were hanged by their feet, their faces looking at the ground.

"Come on, Nami. You don't plan to stay here, do you?" From the entrance of the valley, Nojiko's amused voice came out, making Nami smile slightly.

"You are here on time, Nojiko." Saying that she took hold of Tashigi's waist and then used Soru to move rapidly, not paying any attention to the marine officers who were hanged by her sister.

The two sisters quickly moved inside the city to reach the place where their ship was docked. The entire Logue town seems to be in chaos for some reason.

Not caring about that, they entered the ship and threw Tashigi inside the living room, not before binding her entire body with a rope.

"Where is Kaya?" Nami curiously asked, coming out of the living room.

"She should be fighting with that captain who has eaten that smoke logia devil fruit," Nojiko spoke with a thoughtful expression.

"Then why are you here? You do know that we can't hurt Logia devil fruit users as of now, right?" Nami asked with a confused expression causing Nojiko to giggle.

"I know that too, my little sister. Don't worry about Kaya, the captain is with her." Nojiko replied with a smile. She would never leave a fellow crew member however she was ordered by Alex to take the stock items back to the ship.

After putting the stock items inside the ship, she was heading back to meet Alex, however, she noticed a Marine officer's sudden movements so she decided to follow them and found Nami there.

"That's good then," Nami said with a smile and walked toward the sofa to relax for some time before they both came back.

"Kaya, you should go back now. Tell them to start the ship, I'll be there in a few minutes." Alex spoke to Kaya who was busy avoiding the attacks of Captain Smoker.

"I understand, captain," Kaya replied with a serious expression and instantly began to fly away toward the ship.

"You think I would let you go?" Saying that he raised his fist and punched in the direction of Kaya. A lot of smoke came out of his fist however he couldn't keep attacking as Alex immediately moved in front of him.

"If I told her to go, who do you think has the strength to stop her?" Alex playfully said and punched the chest of Smoker who stood there doing nothing with a smirk on his face.

Though instead of passing through his body as he was expecting, Alex's fist connected with Smoker's body and sent him flying quite far away.

"Get up, Smoker bro. Don't tell me that this is the strength you have even though you are someone from the elite training camp of the Marines?" Alex said with a chuckle, walking toward the injured smoker. "I guess, I shouldn't expect everyone from that camp to turn out like the three Admirals, right?"

"Cough! You bastard! Don't get cocky just because you got lucky." Smoker coughed out some blood and spoke with an angry look. Taking out his sword, he stood up and flew toward Alex using his smoke powers to propel himself forward.

Alex once again prepared to punch that guy however this time, he wouldn't hold back. The moment Smoker was near, Alex disappeared and appeared behind Smoker. Clenching his fist, he hit the back of Smoker making the guy fly at a rapid speed before his unconscious body crashed into one of the houses, destroying it instantly.

"I thought I wouldn't hold back, alas, I decided to show mercy on you at the very last moment…." He mumbled with a sad expression on his face. "Thankfully, you have a good sword here that I can take with me." Using his powers, he brought the sea stone sword toward himself before storing it inside his system storage.

Since everything was done here, he decided to go back to the ship; however, before that, he needed to speak some things to the Marine officers.

Turning toward the Marine Officers who were looking at him with a fearful expression, he smiled slightly at them. "Do you know why I came here? I could have simply flown above this town."

"W-We don't know….!" One of the Marine officers replied in a trembling tone.

"One of my crew members was here for a long time. I decided to come here and take her back." Alex said with a serious expression however his words were a little confusing for them as they didn't understand why he was telling them that. "You must be wondering the reason behind my sudden words, right? Well, the name of my crew member is Tashigi, she used to be a Marine in this town."

His words immediately caused an uproar among the Marines and civilians since the person that he had mentioned was quite famous in the town for being a good Marine Officer.

"Anyway, I'll be going to the Grand Line now." He announced with a smile and then flew in the sky toward his ship, not paying any attention to the words of the civilians and Marine officers.

Everything that he had planned before coming here was accomplished. He got that devil fruit, he got two good swords, and he got a new crew member. Sadly, he couldn't meet the leader of the Revolutionary army, the most wanted man in this era.
