Chapter 20: Chapter 19. A Kiss From Vivi

It's been three days since the crew set sail for the Arabasta Kingdom. Alex trained them once again without giving them any break to take some rest.

The animals that he had kidnapped from the Little Garden were now a part of the training ground. Since none of them was strong, they could only stay in the lower part of the island, close to the outskirts.

He introduced the Giants and the other agents that he had kidnapped. He then began their training as well along with the other people.

Everyone was improving at a rapid pace much to his satisfaction since the stronger his crew members will be, the better it would be for his plans.

Since he planned to do something today, he told everyone to take a rest on the ship except for the Giants and those two agents who will still train themselves on the island.

He then flew in the sky and headed toward a different side, his Observation Haki was covering the entire area around him. After some time, he finally found a pirate ship with a lot of people in it.

"There he is….." Alex muttered under his breath and increased his speed. Landing on the ship, he saw some people and a fat ugly person sitting on a throne.

Since he wasn't here to amuse them, he swiftly took out a sword from system storage and used his devil fruit power to control it to attack those guys.

In less than a minute, they were all killed by him. Not caring about the dead bodies, he walked toward the cabin of the ship where the other 20 presences could be felt, not before agreeing to the system notification that just appeared.

"W-Who are you? One of those 20 people who were wearing doctor uniforms asked with a fearful expression.

"Me? My name is Alex, a pirate and a doctor." Alex smiled slightly and introduced himself to them. Even though they were sceptical about him being a doctor, no one dared to say anything.

Since he doesn't seem dangerous, the doctors began to introduce themselves to him one by one while telling him about their kingdom and the king.

After the conversation was over, Alex informed them that he also plans to visit their kingdom to learn some things from that famous Witchdoctor.

He threw the dead bodies into the sea and sat on the throne while the doctors stood beside him. He then began to ask them about the different medicinal plants that could be found on their island.

Whenever one of them would tell him about some plant, Alex would instantly begin to tell them about that plant's medical properties and how it can be used.

Like this, a heated discussion began to happen on the ship about different plants which can be found around the world and how they could be used to create new types of medicines.

Since Alex was increasing the speed of the ship using his devil fruit powers, it only took them 3 hours to reach the Drum Kingdom which was covered in heavy snow.

On the shore, the doctors thanked him with a grateful expression and walked inside the kingdom while he flew to a different side where the Palace was located.

On the way, he made sure to kidnap a giant snow rabbit and took it with him toward the castle. Using his observation haki, he sensed the presence of that reindeer and immediately headed toward it.

While the rabbit waited on the highest drum-shaped mountain, Alex entered the castle quickly and caught the reindeer before heading back to the drum mountain since he had used medicine to make it unconscious, it saved a lot of trouble.

"I wouldn't have killed you, alas, you carry a devil fruit that I need for my plans, Chopper….." Alex shook his head and crushed the entire body of Chopper by putting a large rock on its body.

[Does the host wish to plunder the corpse of Chopper?]

"Agree." Alex closed his eyes and waited for the results.

[The host has plundered Hito-Hito no mi. It has been placed inside the system storage.]

[The host has plundered Medical knowledge. The Doctor SS rank skill has successfully evolved into SS+ rank.]

The first notification wasn't that interesting however the second notification caused him to smile in happiness. It seems that Rumble ball medicine was valuable enough to even increase his Doctor skill which was quite surprising, to be honest.

With a smile, he lifted the rock and used his power to make it fly very high in the sky. He then used his Conqueror Haki to order the rabbit to take the corpse to the other rabbits.

"Make sure to chew every piece of this reindeer. If I find even a tiny piece left, you'll die along with those other rabbits, got it?" He threatened the rabbit with a fierce gaze causing it to nod its head in fear. The rabbit then held the corpse in his mouth and began to run toward the base of the drum mountains where the other rabbits were living.

Using his devil fruit power once again, he covered the blood with a lot of snow before walking inside the castle. Since there was no one inside the castle right now, he had enough time to find the laboratory of that Witchdoctor.

After half an hour, Alex came out of the laboratory with 10 very small bottles in his hands. There was an ecstatic smile on his face as he kept looking at those bottles.

"With these, I'm prepared for future battles….." He mumbled under his breath and then put the bottles inside the system storage.

Using his Observation Haki, he scanned the castle once again and found two presences heading toward the castle. He glanced at the door of the laboratory for a moment and then he began to float in the air.

Quickly getting out of the castle, he waited for those two presences patiently. After some minutes, an elderly woman along with a tall imposing man came to the top of the drum mountains while talking among themselves.

Not giving them any chance, he instantly appeared behind them and knocked them out. After that, he began to use his Hypnosis skill to make changes inside their brains.

He first made some changes in the memories of Kureha, The Witch Doctor. Now, she wouldn't miss Chopper because, for her, he had died some years ago in the hands of King Wapol.

By doing this, he caused her to despise Wapol a lot and now that she knows that Alex was the one who killed Wapol, she became extremely grateful to him.

After doing this, he began to make some changes in Dalton's mind. Dalton was extremely loyal to the citizens of Drum Kingdom so Alex positioned himself in the citizen's place which caused Dalton to feel loyal to him now.

With this done, he smiled in satisfaction after making the necessary changes. This was something that he liked very much about his Hypnosis skill. He only needs to swap his position inside someone one's mind with someone that they feel loyal to and he'll be able to get a loyal follower effortlessly. Though he wasn't sure if he could do the same with a person with strong Haki.

He then began to wake them up. "Hey, are you both alright? Why are you sleeping on the way?" He asked them with a slightly worried expression.

Kureha opened her eyes and felt something wrong with her body, however, she soon threw those thoughts outside of her mind when she saw him. "Are you Alex, the guy who killed that bastard Wapol?"

"I am Alex and I did kill that guy. Is there any problem with it?" Alex admitted his identity and stared at them with a narrowed gaze.

"No, there is nothing wrong, young man. You did a wonderful job by getting rid of him." Kureha replied with a pleased smile on her face. "That bastard was responsible for killing Hiriluk and Chopper."

"Thanks for saving our doctors, Alex. We are all grateful to you." Dalton bowed slightly and said with a serious expression. "A lot of citizens died because they couldn't meet the doctor at the right time."

Kureha nodded at his words and then began to introduce herself. After that, it was then Dalton's turn to introduce himself.

"The citizens want to see you, Alex. They all wish to thank you personally for killing that King." Dalton informed him with a small smile on his face. He too was happy that Wapol died as that guy was the reason behind the death of so many people.

"I need to go back to my ship, Dalton. My crew members must be waiting for me so I can't meet them." Alex smoothly lied with a smile. He now just wanted to go back to his ship and take a good nap.

"Those people will keep annoying you." Kureha agreed with Alex's decision. Dalton was a little upset by this however he didn't pursue Alex.

"I'll be taking my leave now." Saying that he flew in the air. "If you had come earlier, I would have loved to discuss some things regarding medicines with you, alas, I'll have to go now." He was indeed looking forward to having some discussion with Kureha but now, he just wants to go back.

"We can always have our discussions in the future." Kureha knew that he had good medical skills thanks to those doctors so she didn't deny having some discussion regarding medicine with him especially when he had done such a wonderful thing.

After he was gone, Dalton stood there for some time before he headed toward the town. There was no king in this kingdom, it was time to do something about this.

After Dalton left, Kureha continued to stand there, looking at the multiple drum mountains in front of her. "It felt as if I worked with him in the morning even though he was gone for such a long time……." She muttered under her breath before walking toward the castle.

On the ship, Vivi was sitting all alone on the sofa while gazing at the sea in front of her. There was an uncomfortable expression on her face as her mind was thinking of a lot of different things.

Though she instantly came out of her thoughts when a figure landed very close to her. It was Alex who finally came here after flying for nearly 1 hour.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be sleeping right now?" Alex curiously asked and sat right next to her.

"I just wanted to gaze at the sea so I came out of my room," Vivi replied, still gazing at the sea with a thoughtful look.

Alex simply nodded and then he began to lay on the sofa while putting his head on her soft thighs much to her embarrassment. "Are you still worried about your kingdom?"

"Mmm, I feel anxious whenever I think of Crocodile and how horrible he is. He must be planning to kill my father right now." She replied in a worried tone. "He will kill all those citizens just to demonstrate his contempt for me."

"He isn't gonna do all of those things so early. There is no reason for him to do it. After all, what could a weak princess even do against him anyway?" Alex spoke in a joking manner causing her to giggle.

"I was indeed weak before but now, I'm very strong and I have strong crew members as well." She proudly spoke with a smile on her causing him to chuckle amusingly. "Still, I just hope that you are right, Alex. I don't want an innocent person to die because of Crocodile greed."

"Everything will be fine, Vivi." He assured her with a smile and signalled her to massage his head. "By the way, I met a king on the sea. He was quite annoying so I killed him."

"King?" Vivi looked at him with a surprised expression. "Do you know that king's name? I hope you didn't kill one of the kings who are good friends with my father." She didn't want her captain to fall out with her father over a matter like this.

"His name was Wapol, a fat ugly guy." Alex casually replied however his words caused her to widen her eyes in surprise.

"Y-You killed that guy?" She asked, wanting to make sure that she heard him right. When she saw him nod his head in affirmation, a big happy smile appeared on her face. "I always hated that guy after how he acted in that meeting. You did an excellent job, captain."

Alex chuckled at her happy expression. If the Vivi of the past saw the current Vivi, would she be scared of the changes that happened to her? Well, he didn't care about those changes anyway since they made her more attractive.

"What about my reward then?" Alex gazed into her eyes and spoke with a small smile.

"Reward?" She was initially confused however when she noticed his gaze on her lips, she instantly realized what he meant by the so-called reward.

She hesitated a little however when she remembered his words at the time she was joining the crew, she instantly steeled her resolve.

She closed her eyes and began to lean toward his face, her face was crimson red in embarrassment while her heartbeat began to accelerate.

It was her first kiss.
