Chapter 38: Chapter 37. Good Boy

Finding the base of Flying Fish riders wasn't as difficult as he was initially thinking. Since the members always ride flying fish, it was very easy to locate them.

After getting them under his control, he went to Grove 24 to stay in the hotel for tonight. After having some good dinner and taking a long shower after that, he went to sleep.

The next day, he woke up early in the morning, cleaned himself and then headed down to have some breakfast. After that, he paid the bill and then headed toward Grove 13. Though before that, he decided to head to Grove 1.

He got into Stealth mode and then went backstage at the auction house, looking for something valuable. Though there wasn't anything good there so he found the auction owner Disco and hypnotized him so he could collect some valuable stuff.

He only got money and some precious jewellery that they had forcefully taken away from the slaves. After putting those things inside the system storage, he removed the hypnosis and then headed toward Grove 13 once again.

"You returned quite early, Alex." Shakky calmly spoke while taking out a chilled booze bottle from the freezer. She put it on the table while continuing to smoke.

"It wasn't difficult to find them. After that, all I had to do was to beat them up nicely and they happily decided to become my subordinates." Alex said with a chuckle, drinking a large amount of sake from the bottle.

"You wanna eat breakfast? Though you'll need to pay for that." Shakky suddenly asked, putting out the cigarette before throwing it inside the dustbin.

Alex thought for some time and then nodded at her. "Don't worry about money, I got more than enough." Even though he had eaten breakfast some time ago, it was already digested by him using Seimei Kikan.

Shakky went to the backside and began to prepare breakfast while Alex unhurriedly drank the sake from the bottle, enjoying the taste of it.

After some time, she came out with a tray of food in her hands. She gave one of the plates to him while taking the other one for herself. There were two cups on the tray that were filled with tea which was oozing out a nice fragrance.

They both silently ate their shares of breakfast before sipping the tea while reading the latest newspaper.

"Are you heading back now that you are done with whatever you came here to do?" Shakky asked curiously, still reading the newspaper.

"Yeah, I need to head somewhere else as well." Alex affirmatively nodded at her words with a small smile. Since both the tea and booze were finished now, he stood up from his seat while stretching his arms slightly. At this moment, he quickly shot two lightning bolts at her, potent enough to knock her out unconscious.

There wasn't much distance between them and the fact that she wasn't on guard against him also helped him a lot. It's not like she could do something against him even if she had managed to evade the sudden attack.

He first spread the lightning web around the entire bar and then began to use the Hypnosis skill to alter her mind. The only thing that he needed to alter was the feeling that she had for Rayleigh.

After he was done wiping out the love she had for that old man, he gave her some new memories where the old man was more of a colleague to her. The old man went to find the killer of Corazon's some days ago and from that time, she didn't hear anything about him.

He then erased the memory where he unexpectedly ambushed her and added some other memories. He took out the corpse from the system storage and placed it on the ground. Then he woke her up with a worried expression on his face. "Hey, are you alright? Get a grip on yourself."

Shakky looked around herself in confusion before the new memories assaulted her mind causing her to grit her teeth in anger. "H-He was killed for no reason, Alex. If I-I had gone with him, he might have been alive right now."

Even though he erased the love, he didn't erase the friendship that those two had built in these 20 years which is why she was having such a hard time controlling her emotions.

He quickly moved forward and hugged her tightly, patting her back constantly while whispering soothing words in her ears to calm her down.

She began to weep silently while thinking about the time that she shared with that old man while working as a bartender in this bar. They both had helped each other so many times in the past but now, he suddenly left her all alone. 

"It might be tough to get over this, Shakky, however, you need to stay strong," Alex spoke in a calm tone. "Keep it in mind that even he wouldn't want his friend to sob like this after his death. He was a strong man who lived his entire life without any regret so you need to do the same by killing his murderer."

Hearing those words, Shakky went silent, trying to stop her tears forcefully. After some time, she began to speak while chuckling slightly. "I guess you are right, Alex. I let this influence me extremely and now I'm getting cheered up by someone who I only met yesterday. I wonder if Rayleigh would laugh at my current condition since I don't look like someone who used to be a proud Empress."

She got out of his arms and wiped off her tears. "You are a good boy, Alex. Thanks for the emotional support." Saying that with an amused smile, she ruffled his hair causing him to glare at her much to her enjoyment. "What's with that look? If I had kids at the right time, I'm very sure that I would have grandchildren of your age."

"Oh….? Then why were you crying like a little kid just now? I even needed to say sweet words to calm you down."  Alex answered back with an amused smile, forgetting her earlier words.

Shakky didn't reply, instead, she turned to look at the corpse that was on the ground. "Did you see the person who was murdered, Rayleigh?" She asked with a calm tone, clenching her fist tightly.

"I could only catch a glimpse of his figure, Shakky. His physique was very similar to Whitebeard, however, his face was a little different……" Alex told her whatever he remembered about that murderer.

"Similar build? His son perhaps? But….." Shakky couldn't think of anyone that had a similar physique to Whitebeard so, in the end, she believed that person to be his son. "I'll have to start searching for that guy so I could give him the same fate as Rayleigh."

Alex didn't say anything, instead, he closed his eyes and leaned backwards on the chair. "Do you think you can fight someone who managed to kill Rayleigh without getting any injury? Rayleigh might have gotten old, however, he was still the same Dark King, you know."

"So what? Should I just let him go?" Shakky angrily spoke.

"Of course, not. If you can't kill him alone then gather people for yourself who can help you." Alex calmly replied to her with a smile on his face. "You were once the Empress of Amazon Lily. If you go back, I'm sure that they would gladly take you in and even help you to fulfil your objective."

Shakky began to think about his suggestion with a serious expression. What he said was indeed true, there was no one there who would prohibit her from entering that place and as for the current Empress, she would also gladly help her if she were to know about the death of Rayleigh.

"I will go there soon; however, before that, I'll have to finish off some tasks here."  She in the end felt that it was a decent idea. With the help of Kuja pirates, she would be able to search for that guy more easily.

Alex nodded at her and stood up from his seat, walking toward the corpse. "Let's give him a proper burial." Saying that he lifted the corpse on his shoulders and then began to walk outside of the bar, heading to the backside of the bar.

Shakky nodded at him and began to follow him while carrying the sword that used to belong to Rayleigh. Since the user of the sword was dead, she decided to put it in the grave with the body.

Using his powers, Alex made a big hole in the ground and then placed the dead body inside it. Since these islands were lawless, they decided to put the sword in the grave as well otherwise it might get taken by some random pirate.

After closing the hole, he placed a rock near it on which he wrote the name of the dead body. With this done, both of them headed back to the bar where some customers were already waiting however they were sent back by Shakky.

"We might meet soon, Alex. Till that time, take care of yourself as that murderer might come after you now that you know how his appearance." She locked the bar and put a small bag on her shoulders which contained the necessary stuff.

"You should take care of yourself too, Shakky." Saying that he took out a pouch of money and handed it to her. "I still haven't paid the bill yet." He said with a small smile and began to float in the air. "Goodbye, Shakky."

"Goodbye." She replied while putting the pouch in the bag. "Let's go and meet some information broker first. They should have some news about that guy….." With a serious expression, she began to walk toward the opposite side of the bar.

Alex on the hand flew some distance away before he created a door in the air and passed through it while chuckling in amusement.

It was so damn easy to annihilate a relationship that was going on for more than 15 years. "Speaking of relationships, I need to kidnap that woman as well. She should be in contact with that guy as of now….."

Alex appeared above the Logue town once again. Though this time, he didn't land on the ground instead he headed straight to the Calm Belt.

When he reached the Calm Belt, he dived straight into the sea and activated his Observation Haki along with the Lightning web which soon spread throughout the sea.

Under the sea, he saw a lot of Sea kings who were of different shapes and sizes. The moment their eyes landed on him, they began to approach him; however, they soon backed away in fear when he released his Conqueror Haki.

He kept swimming in the sea for an entire hour, looking for that ship; however, there were no results. Though he didn't lose hope instead he increased his speed while using the other two abilities to their fullest.

After another hour passed, he finally sensed some human presence under the sea. With an excited smile, he headed toward that spot and finally saw the ship that was covered fully by some kind of metal barrier.

He immediately used his powers to make the ship fly above. Following the ship, both of them got out of the sea and headed toward the sky, the metal barrier also began to open up slowly, revealing a large ship that was in the form of an artificial island. 

Seeing the entrance, Alex flew straight into the ship and used his Conqueror Haki to deal with everyone who was inside the ship. After that, he walked inside the ship while using his Hypnosis skill to alter the minds of people who were now unconscious.

When he reached the main room, he saw an old woman who was someone he wanted to meet. Taking out the sea-stone sword, he beheaded the old woman with an excited smile.

Seeing the notification, he smiled in excitement cause now he had become the best doctor in this entire world. No one could match him now and this also allowed him to think of different types of poisons which would be more lethal than what he had created previously.

Since he was done with the doctor, he decided to meet the shipwright who was soon going to work for him to create powerful ships.
