Chapter 39: Chapter 38. Why?

After getting the entire crew of World Pirates under his control, he took all of them to the sky city that was being developed.

There he left Gairam, the shipwright with Franky so both of them could talk about new varieties of ships. He also handed the Baku-Baku no mi to Franky as he believed that it would be very useful for him.

The rest of the pirates that were left were sent to work as labourers while he took certain labourers somewhere else. With 100 men who were used to working as shipwrights in Foxy's crew, he came back to Franky.

"Franky, let's go. I'll be taking you to see those two ships that I talked about." Alex informed him with a calm tone and then created a door in the air. "Let's go, everyone." Saying that he entered the door followed by others.

Everyone curiously looked at their surroundings when they came out of the spatial door.

"This place is the Moon, my property," Alex spoke with a small smile, shocking everyone. "The two ships that I talked about are outside of this underground city. Though before that, you'll all have to take some stuff with you."

Alex then went toward a wall and pressed a button there which revealed some masks that were attacked by small cylinders. They were oxygen masks that he had found the previous time he came here.

He handed the masks to everyone and then motioned all of them to follow him. He took all of them outside of the underground city toward the place where those two ships were parked.

Everyone was surprised once again when they saw thousands of small animal-like figures who were carrying guns on their shoulders. Franky looks at them curiously as he could tell that they were robotic beings.

"These are the two ships that I planned to show you all….." After walking for some time, they reached the place where the ships were. One of them was the Ark that was created by Enel while the other ship belonged to those space pirates.

Both Franky and Gairam walked forward with excited expressions on their faces and then began to inspect the ship. The other shipwright soon followed them and curiously began to look through the ship.

"I'll leave you all here to examine the ships. When you are done, you can go back to the underground city." He spoke loudly to which everyone nodded as they too wanted to stay in this place for some more time.

He created a door in the air and then walked inside it, heading back to the Calm Belt. There were still a lot of things that he needed to take care of on the Moon. Though it will take some time.

Amazon Lily the empire located on the Island of Women is an island located in the Calm Belt. This place is inhabited by the Kuja tribe and one of the Seven Warlords of the sea.

Since the island is located deep inside the Calm Belt, it was isolated from the rest of the world as only specified ships could sail through the Calm Belt because of the dangerous Sea kings that were lurking in the sea.

Like usual, everyone was working on their respective things inside the empire when suddenly a giant shadow appeared above the island causing them to look at the sky in confusion.

Though the moment they looked at the sky, almost all of them felt their heartbeat accelerating in anxiety. Some of them even fell to their knees, their bodies trembling in terror as they kept gazing at the thing that was slowly approaching their island.

Above the Amazon Lily, a giant meteor was slowly heading toward the island which was big enough to cover the entire island. If it crashed with the island, everyone was sure the island would be demolished which in turn will destroy them as well. 

From the inside of the palace, a beautiful woman came out with a frown adorning her face. Beside her, two large women also came out with worried expressions on their faces.

"Elder sister…..!!!" The orange-haired woman worriedly looked at her sister. "W-What are we gonna do now?" She asked in a trembling tone, shocked at the spectacle that she was beholding right now.

"It's not a natural meteor, Marigold. I'm sure that someone is purposely attacking our place." Boa Hancock was using her Observation Haki fully, looking for the culprit however no matter how much she tried, she couldn't find anyone.

"Should we order the citizens to evacuate?" The green-haired woman asked her elder sister with a serious expression.

"Where are you even going to send them? Outside of the island? What if the person behind this increased the speed of this thing?" Hancock said in an irritated tone causing the green-haired woman to take some steps back in fear.

Hancock took a deep breath and calmed herself moving forward. "What do you want? Do you know that you are attacking One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea?" She usually doesn't like to use this identity to do things however today, she had no choice left.

Her loud voice resounded throughout the city. The citizens turned to look in the direction where the palace was with optimistic expressions. For them, as long as their Empress was with them, they would never have to worry about something.

The meteorite suddenly stopped on its track. Though a figure flew toward the island rapidly and floated a little about the palace. Since the figure was quite famous on the sea recently, the trio of sisters instantly recognised him.

"Warlord Alex, what's the meaning of this?" Hancock furiously asked, pointing her finger at him. She hated men the most and yet there stood a man in front of her who was also attacking her Empire.

Alex didn't reply instead he began to look at the other place with a curious expression, infuriating Hancock even more. "I came here for a very simple reason, Boa Hancock." After some time, he replied with a small smile. "I want you to become mine."

Hancock glared at him with a look of hatred while her sisters looked at him with a stunned expression. Instead of answering him, Hanock formed a heart with her hands and fired a heart-shaped beam at him.

Alex on the other hand didn't care much about the incoming beam as he knew what it does. When the beam hit him, nothing happened to him which caused Hancock's eyes to widen in shock.

"H-How can you not have impure thoughts even after seeing me?" She asked loudly, looking at him with a cautious expression as this meant that her devil fruit ability wouldn't work on him.

"I don't have any of those impure thoughts about you, Hancock. Though if you wish to check my strength first, I'm ready for it." Saying that he disappeared from his place and appeared in front of her. Clenching his fist, he threw a punch in her direction. Though it was blocked by Hancock who instantly moved backwards to create some distance between them.

"Today, I will either make you mine, Hancock, whether you agree or not," Alex spoke with an amused smile and disappeared once again, appearing behind her before punching at her once again. Though this time, Hancock wasn't able to counter it and was sent flying away however she instantly backflipped and landed on the ground.

She glared at him with a furious expression, her back began to hurt due to the punch that she just received. "I would kill you, disgusting man. You all are the same in the end."

Hearing her words, he chuckled slightly before gazing into her eyes with a serious expression. "How about making a bet, Hancock? If you can land even a single hit on me, I'll leave this island and will never return. However, if you can't land a hit in the given time, you'll be mine. Alex began to explain his idea to her. Though if you decided to back off on your words, I'll make sure to destroy this entire island along with every single person."

Hancock glanced at her sisters from the corner of her eyes and then began to think about the people who were living on this island. She wasn't his opponent, she realized this when he attacked her for the first time so this was the best thing she could ask for right now.

"How much time will I be given?" Hancock asked, suppressing her hatred toward him. This question however caused the other sisters and some other guards of the palace to look at her with a shocked expression.

"I will give you 5 minutes and in those 5 minutes, I won't even attack you in that given time," Alex replied with a small smile to which she nodded, albeit with a look of hesitation. "For you, I'll add one more thing to the bet. Whether I win or not, I'll help you to get rid of the curse that you three sisters have."

Those words were enough to make them tremble in terror, those words reminded them of the horrible things that had happened to them when they were little kids.

Even though she wanted to ask him how he found out about that, however, for now, she remained quiet since a lot of people were near them.

She motioned him to follow her and then took him to the battle ring where they could fight with each other without caring about the damage that they would cause to the palace.

The Kuja pirates along with the citizens began to take their seats, waiting for the battle that soon was going to happen here. A lot of women glanced at Alex in curiosity as this was the first time that they had seen a man in their entire life.

Soon the battle began and as he had said earlier, he didn't attack her even for once while she kept attacking him using her first and kicks however he easily dodged all of them much to the awe of the civilians as they all considered their Empress to be the strongest.

Boa Sandersonia along with Boa Marigold looked at their elder sister with an anxious expression. They wanted her to win this battle so she wouldn't have to become his because of their incompetence.

"Times up now, Hancock." Alex suddenly blocked one of her punches and told her with a smile. "So what did you decide? Do you agree with my words or not?" He asked with a calm tone while staring at her gorgeous face.

"No matter how much I hate you, however for the affection that I have for my sisters and my people, I can't go back on my word even if I want to….." Hancock spoke in a soft tone, glancing at the residents of her Empire. "After that time, I thought I would never make a decision that I don't want to but today, my life proved me wrong once again. In the end, nothing has changed for me….." She mumbled with a bitter smile on her face and began to walk toward the palace, not wanting to see or talk to anyone right now.

'Everything has changed since that time, Hancock. Today you had the strength to resist, unlike that time.' Alex sent those words in her mind using his electric telepathy and then glanced at everyone. "You can all head back to your respective places. Nothing is gonna happen to your home." He shouted while using a small amount of Conqueror Haki which made them fearful of him. So without wasting any time, everyone began to leave the battle ring area hurriedly.

Only the palace guards, those two sisters and an old lady remained in the battle ring however they all too left the area when they felt his frightening stare.

Alex then moved the meteor above in the sky as it was useless for now. Though he was sure that it would come in handy in future so he decided to keep it for now.

After that was done, he headed toward the place where Hancock was staying currently. On the way, he saw a lot of guards, however, they instantly went to the other side with a fearful expression much to his amusement.

After walking for some time, he finally reached the room which belonged to Hancock. He went inside it directly before closing it and then began to look at the Empress who was sitting on the bed while gazing outside of the window.

"You know that I was a slave of those horrible beings yet you want me….." Hancock suddenly began to speak and turned to stare at him with a confused expression. "Why? People would keep themselves away from me if they find out about my past and yet you want, what is the reason behind it?"
