Chapter 48: Chapter 47. The War Begins

Alex quietly stood beside Hancock, eagerly waiting for the strongest man to appear on the Marineford.

"Fuffuffuffu…we finally meet, Warlord Alex." From the other side, Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords greeted him while chuckling. "I heard that you managed to get the Pirate Empress your subordinate?"

Hearing his words, Hancock gave him a death stare, ready to attack him in case he spoke something about her again however he didn't care about it instead he continued to gaze at Alex with an amused smile.

"I have taken her as my wife, Doflamingo. I guess you would not understand that concept since you are a bitch of a giant lizard." Alex replied with an amused chuckle causing Doflamingo's expression to harden. Hancock gazed at Doflamingo with a look of disgust while Mihawk lips curled upwards slightly. The Kuma didn't show any reaction to those words.

"Fuffuffu….." Doflamingo began to chuckle again and then began to look at the sea in front of him. "Some things aren't meant to be said. It can cause you a lot of trouble especially when you go to a new place……"

Alex shook his head at his words, not caring about it instead he used his lightning web to connect with three people on the Marineford. He needed to give them certain instructions for this war.

'Daz, it's me, Alex.' Alex turned to look at Daz who was standing among the Marine captains. 'I want you to actively fight in this war and kill a lot of people. Though remember that your main target is Diamond Jozu, the 3rd division commander of the Whitebeard pirates.'

When Daz nodded at him slightly, Alex then turned to look at his elder sister who was standing among the Vice-Admirals. 'Gion, make sure to kill a lot of pirates and help your subordinates too. Your main target is Phoenix Marco, the 1st division commander.'

When he got the affirmation nod from his elder sister, he glanced at the last person from the corner of his eyes. 'Kuzan, there is only one thing that you need to do in this war and that is to kill Whitebeard himself. No matter what it takes, you need to do it today. I don't want a failure today, do you understand?'

Now that the instructions were given to them, Alex once again began to look at the sea.

"Fleet Admiral!!" One of the low-ranking officers ran toward Sengoku. "T-The gates of Justice to the Marineford have suddenly opened on their own. We can not contact the power room."

Hearing the sudden report, Sengoku's expression hardened as he knew what this meant. "Everyone, prepare for the war. The enemy ships are coming to the base."

The moment he was done speaking, everyone noticed a lot of pirate ships heading toward the base. The shocking thing was these pirate crews' captains were famous in the New World and now, they were all here to save Ace from execution.

Even though the enemy ships were in range, the Marines didn't fire on them, instead, they began to look for Whitebeard as he was the most dangerous among these people.

"Something is moving in the water!!!!" A low-ranking officer spoke loudly while pointing toward the sea, everyone instantly turned to look there.

"He is coming….." Before Sengoku could finish his sentence, three ships suddenly emerged from the centre of the bay of the island. "He coated his ship to directly appear so close to our base."

The fourteen commanders of Whitebeard pirates began to appear on the deck of the other two ships and finally, Whitebeard also walked toward the deck of the ship. "Gurararara….Sengoku, it's been a long time." He first greeted his old rival with a smile and then turned to look at his son. "Bear with it for some time, my son. We'll soon free you."

"Father!!" Ace called out with a regretful expression, thinking about the days when he just began his piracy days. "Everyone please leave me alone. It was my cockiness that caused my capture."

"It wasn't your fault, Ace." Whitebeard shook his head and then punched the air, cracking it like a mirror which caused an explosion. "It was my fault that I let you go after him, Ace."

"Yes, it was our fault." The division commanders began to pursue him as well causing Ace to look at them with a self-loathing expression.

While they were talking with each other, the base suddenly began to shake which confused the Marine officers.

"This is the aftereffects of the explosion that Whitebeard has caused previously and now it is coming back at the base in the form of tsunami. This is due to the devil fruit that Whitebeard has eaten, Gura-Gura no mi which allows him to create earthquakes." Garp calmly explained to the confused officers who now looked at Whitebeard with a horrified expression.

"The military force alone wouldn't be enough to fight against him because he has the power to destroy the world itself," Sengoku spoke loudly with a serious expression on his face.

The tsunami was now above the head of the Marine officers who looked very scared at this moment. Admiral Aokiji glanced at the incoming tsunami and then disappeared from his seat.

"Ice Age!" The next moment, the entire tsunami was frozen by him. Without wasting time, he created multiple ice swords and threw them toward Whitebeard who instantly destroyed them using his devil fruit power.

Aokiji moved forward to attack Whitebeard again however this time, he was hit by a shockwave which shattered him. Though he reformed himself at the edge of the bay and then he froze the bay as well which made it impossible for the Whitebeard ships to move.

"Fire!!" A Marine captain ordered loudly. The officers then began to fire cannons at the pirate ships, trying to destroy all of them. Though it proved quite futile as the pirates began to jump down on the frozen bay to fight the Marine officers head-on.

The Vice-Admirals along with the Captains also ran toward the incoming pirates, ready to kill them all. Daz and Gion were in the front with serious expressions on their faces.

While this was happening, Alex calmly stood in his place, occasionally killing some pirates who were trying to reach the base from his side. "Everything is happening like usual, I guess, my presence didn't change anything in the starting phase of the war…." He mumbled with a small smile and then began to look at Mihawk who just sent a flying slash toward Whitebeard.

Just like what had happened in the anime, the slash was blocked by Diamond Jozu. Admiral Kizaru disappeared from his seat and began to attack the pirates using his devil fruit powers. Though he was soon blocked by Phoenix Marco who told him that he can't reach the king so early.

The Giant from Whitebeard's side began to walk toward the execution platform, crushing the low-ranking officers however he was soon interrupted by Doflamingo who was laughing crazily while cutting the body parts of the Giant using his devil fruit power.

The war continued for an entire hour however suddenly everyone stopped their attack as they noticed something falling from the sky toward the frozen bay.

"Ace!!!" The person who fell was Luffy who looked very excited after seeing his brother. Beside him were Warlord Jimbei, the second in command of the Revolutionary Army Sabo and some other pirates who were in the Impel Down.

"Luffy, why are you here?" Ace asked worriedly however his expression soon changed when he noticed the second person besides his little brother. "S-Sabo…? But how….?" He was very confused and happy when he saw the other brother that he believed was deceased.

"I will explain that to you later.  For now, we need to get you out of those handcuffs." Sabo replied with a small smile and landed on the ground safely with others as Luffy used his powers to make himself large enough to hold them while he landed on the frozen bay.

"Are you planning to go against us, Jimbei?" Sengoku angrily asked to which the former Warlord nodded without any hesitation. "Everyone, Monkey D Luffy is the son of the Revolutionary Dragon, the most wanted man in the world. Besides him is the chief of the Revolutionary Army, Sabo. Make sure to catch them too, they both are very dangerous to the world."

This announcement once again shocked everyone on the Marineford including the civilians who were watching the live broadcast. They never expected to see a familiar bond between the children of the most wanted people.

"So he is the brother that Ace used to talk about….." Marco mumbled with a curious expression, looking at the straw hat boy.

"We meet again….." Kizaru spoke in a laid-back tone while gazing at the young pirate who was crushed by him on Sabaody Archipelago.

While everyone was surprised by this sudden announcement, a smile appeared on Alex's face and he began to move toward Mihawk who was fighting against one of the commanders of the Whitebeard pirates.

'Everyone start moving now. It's time to end this war……!"
