Chapter 33: Chapter 31 – Unexpected allies (2)

Day 33

----Akira POV---

Akira woke up in a good mood. Her period was finally ending. What an annoying and uncomfortable situation. Hina said that she is lucky that she had little pain as it could have been way worse. Every time Akira had to change her blood soaked pads, reminded her that the man Tom was gone and now she is a fully fledged woman and a beautiful one on top of that. She sighed and shook her head. A 1 month living as a woman had made the things better in that department. Akira's body trait had eliminated magically the dysphoria situation and Akira's mind was slowly adjusting, accepting at the fact that she will live the rest of her life in this body of hers. So to ease that process Akira decided to think herself as a woman from now on to help that transition and speed up the adjustment period. It was difficult, but she was making progress.

Akira had a solid breakfast, the almost permanent hunger caused by her magic puberty syndrome was finally fading away.

Akira  went to the basement shop to show okasa the equipment she created last night. 

It was a solid 1,5 x 2 meters shield made of 3 centimeters steel. The inner shield had 2 handles welded. Its weight was about 110 Kg. 

Akira lifted it with one hand and passed it to Hina

"Okasa can you check is it comfortable for you to handle?"

Hina took the heavy metal plate with one arm obviously not bothered by its weight and said.

"It looks solid. Will it  hold a demon attack?" Hina

"I believe so, based on my observations of the enemies strength and the calculations of the material's parameters, it should withstand a frontal assault" Akira

"So I will be on guard and you will smack them with that monster over there" Hina pointed the massive hammer  approximately Akira's height and weighted at least 150 kg. It had reinforced steel handle and one of its sides had a sharpened edge

"That is the idea"  Akira laughed

"I thought I will be the one smashing them with that thing" Hina pouted

"Well.. You know what? we will take turns, what do you think okasa? Akira suggested

"Fufuffu, I like that! Now I am going to the super for shopping. I suspect you will not come giving me a hand with that?" 

"You see. I am kind of busy at the moment, Okasa" Akira

"Right, I had thought so" Hina shook her head.

Hina left and Akira resumed her crafting.

Soon Kornelius connected. He sounded very distressed 

"Akira we have a situation! We have been discovered!"

"Calm down partner. Now take a deep breath and tell me everything in detail"

It took 30 minutes for Kornelius to explain the situation and Akira to understand its specifics.

"So Sopura just gave you 160 k SU as a gratitude gift?" Akira

"I still can not believe it my self. Its like a heavy burden had been lifted from my shoulders"

"Well I consider that an act of a good will to us" Akira

"It means that they are very interested in our situation although I don't think how me or okasa are affecting their war"

"Well the divination spell shows a probability prediction. May be in future you will be able to do something that will help them survive their doom fate"

"You think they are that desperate?" Akira

"I saw the look in the princes's eyes - a look of loss and pain and desperation. I have seen the same look before, you know!" Kornelius

"Hmm where was that?" Akira

"It was your look Akira, Your look as Tom in that summoning circle a month ago"

"Sigh so it is that bad for those people. Sigh these fakin demons evil bastards..." Akira started to curse

"Akira calm down please we need to reach an agreement for our approach with Sopura

"You said they are interested in our success?"Akira

"yes"

"you said they want to provide us funding?"

"yes"

"intelligence and know-how support?"

"yes"

"Do you think I can negotiate their help with the extraction of my family?" Akira

"I believe so, yes" Kornelius

"And do you think you can trust that woman Foxx and the princess?" Akira

Kornelius thought for a minute

"Yes, I believe they are good people, Akira" 

"Well then count me in. We will form an alliance if possible"

"What information I should share with them" Kornelius

Akira thought for a bit and said:

"If we are going to be partners with them we should not hide secrets from each others. As much I am concerned you may share everything happened so far." Akira

"Everything even the Tom Tailor's past on Earth?"

"Sure"

"And how you entered the body of the late Akira Ryu and merged with her soul traits"

"Well yes" Akira

"I think mrs Ryu may find out about it if too many people know about"Kornelius

"You think I shall tell okasa?" Akira

"May be" Kornelius

"You want me to tell her that her dauther died by a rabid demon and Tom Tailor a deceased man from another world took her body and collected the girl's soul pieces inside his own soul?" Do you think she will accept me then" Akira

"Well I don't know, but I believe you have accepted her as your own mother, and you have accepted yourself as the daughter of Hina and Hiro Ryu.

"I feel okasa as my real mother. I believe it is an inheritance of Akira. When she embraces me, I feel so happy, so safe. I wish she could accept me as a the new me. This secret is killing me" Akira

"And if she don't, you still have your mission Akira. With or without her help you are going to make it, we are going to make it. And may be our new allies will help too" Kornelius

Akira tightened her fist and said with a determination. 

"Right! I will not stop until I save them. I will save them as, I saved okasa. I can do it!"

At the same moment Hina was standing frozen in the supermarket. She was crying. She dropped the bag and rushed out. Kornelius had forgotten to shut down the MIRC channel and she had heard everything.

Hina was standing at her house door. Her feelings were in turmoil. Her daughter had died! But Akira was still standing, breathing, smiling and laughing. She still smelled the same, she still had the same body movements and manners and she still loved her cooking and the ice cream. But she was different at the same time, now when she had though about it - Akira was more mature, wiser, smarter, determined. She was both her old daughter and a new one. She had lived with the new Akira for a month and she was certain that the new Akira had a great heart, courage, compassion. That and this new Akira girl still looked her with eyes filled of love as the dauther she remembered used to.

Hina brushed her tears and entered the house.

"Tadaima" Hina

Akira rushed and hugged her mother.

"Akira! or Should I say Tom Tailor! Do you have anything to say to me? Hina grabbed her daughter shoulders and pushed her in a hand distance. 

Akira looked horrified. Her eyes fixed with Hina

"You heard that talk with Kornelius?"

"The MIRC.... was on" Hina

"I ... I have no excuse..." Akira

Akira lowered her head, but then looked again Hina in the eyes and said

"I may not be your real daughter, but she still lives inside me and she really loves you. I .. really love you as my mother and my best friend and ally. I am sorry for what happened, but things can not be changed or reversed" Akira

"I really wished we can be a family okasa, I really wished that you will accept my new me, for the person who has I become" Akira was now crying and shaking

"I am sorry" Akira

Akira turned to leave.

"Where are you going? Hina

"I....may be I should pack my belonging and leave" Akira

Hina eyes watered and she too started to cry loud.

"Waaa you are not going to leave me again my little dragon, Okasa will not allow that" 

Hina hugged  Akira from behind. She was hugging Akira with a such force that if Akira hadn't got that much of attributes her body would have cracked.

They were both crying. Together. A Mother and A Daughter. A family

----- Foxx and Mira POV ----------

Both of them were eating in a diner nearby. Foxx had set up a security array and was communicating with King Arthur.

"That is all I have so far" Foxx

The king remained silent for a minute

"Do you think Mr Kornelius will cooperate?" Arthur

"He looked quite distressed, especially when he saw my military attire. We should be cautious about this trait of his.

"Hmm let's offer him a contract as a civil consultant for Sopura military. That should spare him from a army conscription" Arthur

"Very good idea. And the contract will offer state of the art laboratory in Sopura's capital" Foxx grinned

"What about his collaborator in Terra. Will they be willing to help us?

"That is the most troubling part to me. I know nothing about them or their goals" Foxx 

"Foxx if you have a chance to talk to them you will try make them collaborate using your negotiation skills , if that does not work, try to strike a deal of mutual benefit. I will be available if you need me or my authorization" Arthur

"Understood"

"How is Mira doing?" Arthur

"She didn't take the news good. Well nobody take it good once they were told. She is crying a lot and she is borderline depressed." Foxx

"Sigh, it had to be done, I couldn't keep it from her any longer. She is a grown up and a future queen. She must get her will tempered or she wont survive the future wars." Arthur

"I hope she will get over it soon"Arthur

"Actually this situation at the moment seems to act positively for her mood" Foxx looked at Mira. She had a thoughtful look, but she didn't seem down anymore.

"Yes, The hope does it to all of us... All right if this will help to get her back on her feet, let her be involved further in the process." Arthur

"Understood" Fox

"Good luck Lieutenant. Hope to hear more good news from you soon" Arthur

Knock knock

"Please enter, it is open" Kornelius.

Both beastkin women entered the lab. Kornelius was looking much more composed and relaxed comparing their previous meeting

"We meet again Kornelius, I am glad that you have agreed for further cooperation" Foxx

"I have contacted the person in Terra. She is interested in future cooperation on several conditions of course. Her name is Akira Ryu and she had agreed to share our story with you as an act of good will and a hope for trustful and honest relationship in future" Kornelius

(Akira was prompting the lines via their MIRC)

Foxx was startled for a second. These words were not fitting Kornelius profile and manner of speech

"Do you have means to communicate with Ms Ryu"

"Yes" Kornelius

"Can I talk to her in person? Foxx

"Well I might able to add you and the princes in MIRC" Kornelius

"MIRC?"

"Yes the "mind interactive realtime channel". I know, I know the name is very stupid, but Akira insisted on that name" Kornelius

"Well can we join this MIRC of yours?" Foxx

"Yes I will need a moment to adjust the settings" Kornelius

In 10 minutes Akira, Hina, Kornelius, Foxx and Mira ended in a Common channel of the MIRC

"Hello My name is Akira Ryu, a human female currently in Tokyo, Terra

"Oh it is my turn to speak? Ahm, my name is Hina Ryu and I am the mother of Akira and her guardian.

"Greetings my name is Lieutenant Claudia Foxx currently in charge of negotiations on behalf of the Kingdom of Sopura"

"Ohh Ahm My name is Mira Leonheart currently a princes of the Kingdom of Sopura and I will be monitoring the situation as an official member of the court

"AHmm My name is Kor..."Kornelius couldn't finish

"We all know who you are buddy, no need to present yourself" Akira

"Why don't you leave Nel to present him self. You don't have to be so rude, Akira" Hina

"Mrs Ryu please don't use that nickname in public chat. It is embarrassing" Kornelius

"And how many times I told you to call me Hina. But do you ever listen HUH?" Hina

"Guys, don't start it again please. We have an important people here with us. Even a fancy princes of some kingdom!" Akira

"I am not a fancy princes! I have an assassin hero class. I am strong and fierce warrior and not your typical tea party lady!" Mira pouted

"Oh I am sorry if I have offended you Mira" Akira

"fuffufu what a nice chat we have here. Akira do you want some Ice cream in the meant time" Hina

"Ohh, but of course okasa, do we have the chocolate type left? Akira

Fox was listening and was a bit startled. She had not expected this conversation at all!

"Ahmm, I think we need some important matters to clear now. The king is expecting answers soon" Foxx

"Right so where should we start. Kornelius will you tell our story to our friends from Sopura. I  do believe it is important for us all to share our knowledge if we are going to act with a common goal as allies in future" Akira

"Ahmm It all started 33 days ago when my summoning array captured the soul of a man from Earth.......

2 hours later...

"And here we are 33 days later" Kornelius ended his extremely detailed explanation of the events. His almost eldritch memory was perfect in recalling the events. Akira had to intervene few times with her view of the situation.

"You DID ALL OF THAT!" Foxx was finally able to regain her composure. The events were so absurd, that if she wasn't there she wouldn't believe it one bit!

"Which part in particular?" Kornelius

"You have imprisoned demon infected humans in your basement dungeon, naked and chained, then you did this consume grinding and then used  forbidden mind control spells of demonic origin to brainwash the victims?!" Foxx

"Well it worked well. They even come here voluntarily almost begging to be pleased by me The Ice Queen bahahaha" Akira

"fuffufu They get the magic touch instead" Hina snickered

"Do you know how many regulations of FOL code have you breached" Foxx asked

"Hmm why should I care? I don't see anyone around. Plus I will use any means necessary to achieve my goals. If the demon's fart is of any use to me I will split its ass and collect it..."Akira

"Hahahhaah, good one partner" Kornelius

"Ahahahh" Mira snickered

"Language, lady" Hina

"I am sorry" Akira

"You better listen to Mrs Ryu, Akira your behavior is quite vulgar"

"Nel is right" Hina

"I Don't like that nickn...."

The quarrel and laughing continued in the MIRC channel for some time

Foxx was in a deep thought. Akira was smart, very smart and determined to achieve her goal. A cunning tactics probably won't work or will backfire soon. So she had to strike a deal.

 "Ahmm Ms Akira I would like to ask, what do you need from our kingdom in order to get your cooperation in the future?" Foxx

"Ah getting straight to the point? Ahm I want the kingdom's assistance and help for the extraction of two people in Earth about 3 years from now. I want a guarantee that the kingdom will fulfill their part if we strike a deal on that matter" Akira said with a serious tone.

"I see... I will speak to the king and return with his official answer soon"

[Foxx has left the channel]

"I think grandpa will help you Akira, he is a good person" Mira

"I hope he will Mira, I hope he will" Akira
