“Fucking birds…”
Having his earlier flight disturbed, coupled with the fact he didn’t have a usable map. Blitz aimlessly wandered the forest like a madman. He didn’t know whether he walked in circles or something but he could clearly feel that he was getting nowhere.
He continuously passed several trees, walked over many bushes, and even trampled upon many aromatic flowers. However, he did not stop, he didn’t get fatigue or anything of the like. He was rather thankful of how he balanced out his stats.
“I could use [Fly] again, but that goofy-ass bird… I can sense it circling atop me like a vulture.”
Being a mage, along with some other classes that can somewhat increase one’s perception. Blitz could tell even from afar if there was anything much of a threat to him even from afar. However, either it was malfunctioning or confusing itself, Blitz didn’t know, as he was continuously met with wandering monsters.
Although they could be classified as monsters mostly due to their appearance. They mostly ran away immediately upon setting sights towards him. After a few unexpected meetings with differing beasts, Blitz now traversed the forest unopposed.
This sucks… I can’t find anything to use as a form of navigation!!!
If one was to see Blitz traversing the forest as he is now, one could assume that the devil himself had left his domain. Although most of his body up to the extent of his legs were covered by a simple, yet noteworthy scholarly cloak. Once opened, an intimidating appearance of an armored being would be exposed.
The numerous crunching of fallen branches and dried leaves continued to weigh on Blitz’s mind. Being alone in his room was one thing, but hearing something once pleasant turn unpleasant was another. It was like he couldn’t escape, it was like a prison.
I could use [Fly] or one of my AoE magics to do something— but… Urghhh—! My cautiousness is killing me!
Just like when he did his private duels with other players, Blitz wasn’t willing to do anything out of his expectations. In other words, he was a general that wasn’t willing to fight without a 100% victory rate.
Taking that into heart, Blitz was as cautious as a young boy quietly leaving his room whilst his parents were sleeping. He already knew that his armor would make him standout, but apart from his jet-black armor set and scholarly cloak. He didn’t possess anything else that could decrease any possible suspicion towards him.
He had access to his inventory, an insanely large inventory and thanks to a number of perks and passes he bought for around the total of a few thousand dollars (They were many, not only one pass/perk). Blitz could wear around 10+ accessories on his skin, and his inventory was double the size of the normal players.
Perks of being both a grinder and whale…
“The problem would be— I only took 2 sets of armor, one I’m wearing, and another… very more fearsome and eye-catching in my stash.”
Currently, most of what occupied his inventory were mostly potions, accessories, and a few weapons of differing classes. It was for a good reason, having continuously done side quests for its reward, repeatedly defeat world and area bosses to gather up materials, along with having to privately duel players. Blitz knew that he needed to carry items and consumables that were able to help him in unexpected events.
Although I do have some materials such as a few gems, consumables such as food, and manufacturing materials. I can’t do much with it as I didn’t possess any supportive controls.
In the game, there was a system that allowed players to build basic necessities such as shelter and low-tier weaponry. However, if they possessed the [Engineer] job, they were able to make more high-tier equipment efficiently.
The problem was, Blitz didn’t possess the [engineer] job, and wasn’t also much accommodated to real life survival skills. He was a plant manager, not an engineer, at best he would use a [Fire] spell to make a campfire.
Due to this, he continued to aimlessly wander through the forest. He was still thankful that he had invested quite a lot into his [Endurance] stat. Due to that, he was able to walk through the vast forest without sweating.
Well… It’s not like I’ll sweat anyway, the [humanoid vessel] is just a [crafted camouflage]. It was difficult obtaining the materials but it was a good enough disguise back in the game. What I don’t like about this is that it doesn’t function as a normal human body, due to not having… the specific organs as that of a real human…

Blitz continued to walk through the forest, by passing the monsters that inhabited it, before finally encountering a miracle. It was a broad pathway made of simple materials and a simple design, built in-between the forest.
“A dirt road.” In joy, Blitz rushed towards dirt road and as he reached its center, looked at both sides of the road’s direction. “Yes! Finally! A road!”
Having traversed the forest for an indefinite amount of time, accompanied by the mentally-challenging sounds of leaves and branches being crunched. Blitz was as happy as an old man receiving a hefty retirement pension.
“Now… the only problem would where exactly could the nearest city.”
Blitz currently didn’t have a map of the world of Envisioned Fantasy. He only used his spells [Gate] when travelling, and even if he did have a map, he’d just throw it away as soon as he was done. In Envisioned Fantasy, there wasn’t a “Complete Map” of the world. It was more of regional maps of certain locations, making players rather take a gamble in travelling than rely on maps— which more or less pissed a few people off.
Being the cautious gamer he is, he decided to just sit and wait for a carriage of some sorts. Since it was a road, hopefully a busy one, there should be atleast a few carriages and caravans taking it. That was, if it was a peaceful road, not one monitored by bandits.
Meh… If push comes to shove, I’ll just fight them. With my build, I can use melee attacks against a low-level warrior.
He was a mage at heart, but he also possessed other job classes. The max level of a player was 150, since he was a [Heteromorphic Race], that 150 had to be split with his [Racial Levels] and [Job levels] but it did give good advantages such as extra attribute points, and exclusive skills and abilities limited to only [Heteromorphs].
Having been maxed out with balanced attributes, along with his passive and exclusive skills as a [Heteromorph] slime. He could very much stand on equal footing on lower-level players without using his magic.
Though… I have a feeling that I won’t even need to use my potions or equipment… It’s just this gut feeling…
The following hours were spent wisely, Blitz just leaned his back against a tree and just awaited the arrival of a carriage. Since he woke up when the sun was about to rise up, and with the sun currently right above him. Blitz could somewhat guess that it was around noon.

Tis’ quite a problem when you don’t have a clock…
He waited patiently, his hands crossed and hopefully appeared as a peaceful traveler awaiting to hitch a ride. Fortunately, at around noon, a silhouette of something broad appeared from the end of the dirt road.
It was a carriage— It’s rattling was slowly becoming louder as it came to close to Blitz’s proximity. Being pulled by only one proud horse, the carriage moved slowly but was at a good enough speed to travel long distances.
The man coaching the carriage was no more an aged man, wrinkles and a fair mustache atop his face. His head was covered by a flat cap as his body was enveloped in thick clothing.
“Good day!”
Blitz raised his body from the tree and raised his hand, greeting the aged fellow. Yet, he still had a few doubts lingering about within his mind, Hopefully, we’ll understand eachother…
“Good day, also, Sir.” The aged man responded in a relaxed voice, slightly bending his body as he said, “Are you asking for a ride?”
“Yes!” Blitz asked, slightly relieved as the two understood each other, “Can I? though I hope I’m not causing any problem to you.”
“Not at all, please.” The aged man, gave shifted towards the side of the driver’s seat, patting the extra space, “Please… sit here.”
Blitz took up the offer but was rather scared that he’d break the planks of the seat. It was entirely made out of wood, a dependable material, but seemingly aged— he didn’t know if it was weakened or new.
He walked slowly towards the driver’s seat and carefully seated himself beside the driver. The two exchanged nods’ as a form of pleasantry and the aged man then continued his journey.
“What brings you to this parts of the region, Lord Knight?”
The aged man suddenly asked, taking Blitz’ by surprise. He wasn’t very much experienced in roleplay since he played solo. Most often than not, he’d just go straight to the point whenever speaking with other players.
Ah damn…
He was put up in a bind, he hadn’t taken up much thought for an appropriate background. He was also anxious of taking the gamble with his ‘Knight order bullshit’. As a matter of fact, he didn’t even join NPC-controlled factions or kingdoms when he played back in the game because he was a [Heteromorph].
“W-well…” Blitz hesitated, “Please drop the formalities, I am only a mere wandering knight.”
“Really? You’re armor seems fairly valuable. I was sure that you were of noble origins or a wealthy knight.”
“Nah… I’m just a wanderer through and through.”
“Then, may I please know where you come from.” The aged man then stated, “Since you were waiting for a ride, I must guess that you don’t know much about the region, Yes?”
Damn you, Old man!!!
“Erm… It’s true I’m not from here.” Blitz replied, “I was just wandering where the wind took me. Sadly, my legs had taken up all its strength due to my journey.”
“Ahahahah…” The aged man suddenly laughed, “You must be an old man like me too. I understand that, wandering from place to place journeying to the unknown. I understand that. Afterall, we aren’t immortal and fortunate enough to do what we seek.”
Well… I wouldn’t exactly call myself old, rather I think you’re older than me by a few more years. I was certainly still in-shape though.
Suddenly, the aged man patted the back of Blitz’s armor, shocking Blitz as he hadn’t expected it. However, by how the aged man seemed comfortable, it seemed as though he was relating to his false background.
“I say, while this kingdom has its bad points. It does possess some fine history and places that you may make as well your grave.” He added, his tone slightly changing, “…I’ve already sent my daughters to a fine academy to prepare for the next stage of their lives, my wife is resting peacefully, and then there’s me, just doing what he wants to do.”
Blitz was rather quiet upon hearing this, he could more or less relate to what the aged man was doing. Being old and not having much time left, it was only right that one would do what they always wanted to do since young.
He was rather envious as this old man was able to use what remained of his life to travel the vast world of abundant trees and clear skies, admiring the piece of art called ‘Nature’. Unlike, Blitz who was unable to do anything apart from live his life as a robot with fixed programming.
“I see…” Blitz said, “I must take you up on that offer of locations.”
“I knew it!”
The old man gave a bright smile, he then started a recounting a long compilation of the locations he journeyed on. From simple historic towns, to mountain ranges, forest fitted with life, and culturally distinct kingdoms.
I see… so this isn’t earth… nor the world of Envisioned Fantasy…
Where am I then?
