After around an hour or so of riding and an endless conversation. The two finally reached the proximity of a city. It was enveloped by thick stone walls that reached around the height of 20 meters and a moat filled with water. The dirt road’s course was headed directly towards the gate of the city.
From afar, Blitz could already see that the see that a number of carriages along with a line of people had already formed towards the gate. He could somewhat guess that they were merchants like his newly found acquaintance, Weill, and some citizens that had exited and was about to return.
“Are lines that common in towns?” Asked Blitz, gathering information.
“That depends on the town and city in particular. Sometimes there’s none all around the day, sometimes there’re still very long lines even till the night.”
When he heard the compilation of the places Weill had visited just a few hours ago. Blitz doubt grew at a considerable pace, as those locations, he didn’t know at all. Presenting him a doubt that world he was currently on, wasn’t one that resembled Envisioned Fantasy.
Following the usual routine, Weill lined his carriage behind the other carriages that were about to request entrance to the town. Upon stopping and lining up, Blitz could somewhat feel several gaze circling about his body.
Well… there goes not being suspicious or not dragging attention…
“Are you a regular in this town?” Asked Blitz.
“Yes, this town will very much be a merchant’s den with how much goods travel and get sold here. In fact, I think I know some of the guards.”
“That’s good…” Blitz was rather anxious, but he needed to gamble. “Can you make up a reason for me to enter?”
Weill looked at Blitz for with a confused expression for about a minute. An expected response for Blitz’ gamble. By how they conversed earlier, Blitz could assume that Weill was comfortable with Blitz’s company, however, that didn’t exactly deter the possible that Weill is an upstanding citizen.
“No ID?” Weill asked, still looking at Blitz.
“Yeah…” Blitz replied, “I was somehow asking if you could talk with the guards.”
Upon finally hearing what Blitz’s wanted to happen, Weill nodded his head and replied, “Alright, I don’t know if we’ll see eachother again. But, I’m a merchant, I’m expecting a return.”
Blitz gave a smile of relief from under the cover of his closed helmet. Although, the response wasn’t what he expected but it was better than nothing. In fact, he might’ve underestimated Weill a bit, he thought he’d reply in a Friend-to-Friend manner, not a Businessman-to-client.
“Alright,” Blitz gave his gratitude, “if the time comes, I’ll pay you back.”
Weill gave a hint of a smirk, “Alright, buddy, I’m expecting a return.”
After minutes of waiting, it was finally Weill’s carriage’s turn. The aged guard who was in-charge of inspection waved his hand towards Weill’s as if they’ve known eachother. Weill’s then subsequently gave his ID to the guard whom immediately inspected and returned it.
“How about your guard there, Sir Weill?” The young guard asked.
“Him?” Weill’s turned towards Blitz with surprise in his face, a perfect actor, “He’s a friend of mine, travelling the vast wonders of the world like me. Can you just let this slide?”
The guard stared at Blitz in a suspicious manner before turning his head back to Weill and nodded his head.
“Alright then,” The guard gave a signal to his coworker, “—I’ll let you guys off today, but your friend needs an ID. Certain cities are controlled by distinct lords, some of which require an ID to enter. If he wants to enter the City of Iscai, he needs an ID line an Adventurer’s ID or passport.”
“Of course, Thank you very much, Theon.”
“You too, Weill.”
Once the guards finished their inspection of Weill’s goods, Weill’s carriage soon started to enter the bustling city. The city’s road was built entirely of cobblestone, and the numerous houses were built with mixture of both wood and stone materials.
The main street, where most of the carriages went and go, wasn’t exactly overcrowded. Just about enough for a carriage to make its passage. Blitz and Weill then carefully maneuvered their carriage from the bustling crowds to another road, before completely stopping on a wooden building
“Mister Weill I’ve received your letter.” Suddenly, a well-attired individual left the wooden building where Weill’s adjacently parked his carriage, “I’m glad for you to have made it safely.”
Upon seeing the man, Weill responded by commanding the attired individual, “Prepare some food and drinks for me and my acquaintance.”
“Right away, Sir.”
With the currently unfolding events, Blitz was immediately taken aback. He looked at Weill’s with confusion, but due to his face being covered from his closed helmet, Weill’s didn’t notice.
“Forgot to add to the story, I’m the President of the Weill’s company.” Weill suddenly informed Blitz as he was about to enter the building.
“…What?”

The duo soon entered Weill’s office and they chatted as before when they were in the carriage. Blitz was still shocked upon this discovery, as Weill’s completely perfected the act of an aged merchant travelling the world.
“If you’re asking whether what I told you about my family and journeys were true— yes. They were true.” He added, “My daughters just recently graduated from the magic academy, and my wife is peacefully resting in her haven. As for me, I’ve just started doing what I wanted to do. Slightly neglecting my company in the process.”
“I’m quite glad…” Blitz gave a sigh of relief, “I thought you were something like a bigshot.”
“Bigshot? No, no… My company is quite small and mostly handles material transportation. I only have three branches, one here in Trino, another in Gonthura, last in the Capital of this kingdom, Ergiian.”
“Then… How come somebody like yourself is riding a carriage all alone. For all you know, you might get assaulted and your goods stolen.”
“Like I said, I’m old, I’m doing whatever I like. I’m a self-made man, this company was made by me from the ground up. If I wanted, I can collapse it like how I built it.”
Those words were something Blitz could never hear from a mouth of a person back in earth. In earth, material possessions, wealth, and notably power were the encouragement of many businessmen. He just couldn’t believe himself, that somebody who didn’t inherit a multi-million-dollar company, and one that personally built his business from nothing. Would just casually say that ‘He wants to personally collapse his company’ so nonchalantly.
If you were to say that to my world, around 100 millionaires would try and buy your company from you.
“How about your kids?” Blitz asked, finding a reason to why he wanted to abandon a successful business.
Weill’s rested his cheek on his palm, crossing his legs as he sat, staring at the wooden ceiling before replying.

“I wanted my daughters to do what they liked. When I was a child, my family was poor, my father continuously told me to work, work, and work more. I was like his slave rather than his son. I knew you need money to have a good life, but I was just a child, I wanted to have fun like the rest.”
Weill added, “By the time my father died, I was free from his shackles but my age was no longer one of youth. Most of my sisters and brothers died either due to starvation or being beaten by my father, one of my sisters was even being sold off as a prostitute. It was only then when I pushed to build this business of mine.”
Weill then looked at blitz, his brown eyes showing an abyss of hundreds of emotions. “My simple reason was that my future sons or daughters, won’t live a childhood like mine. I wanted them to have fun while being properly disciplined, but not the same as mine.”
“…And since they graduated.”
Weill looked down, laughing but the grimace of pain was as visible as the day, “They now have lives of their own, I, too have mine. My family is happy and I’m happy, that was all I wanted. This business was only something to support ourselves, I only have little more years in my life. I want to do what I want do, something I couldn’t do when I was a child.”
“I see…”
Blitz nodded his head in understanding. He didn’t have any siblings back in earth, nor had a tough life. He lived a decent life with a decent family in an unforgiving world. Weill’s life was certainly something to look up to. However, the difference in culture and lives of both of them were just too far different.
“I’m glad I met you, Blitz. It’s hard acting as an old man or a businessman. Everybody here wears a mask or two.” Weill’s uttered as he drank his tea.
“You too, Weill’s.” Blitz hadn’t touched the food he was brought with, as he wasn’t completely hungry, “But, I think I’ve overstayed myself.”
Weill’s shook his head, “No, no, no… Not at all. Maybe I just needed a friend in these dire times.”
Yeah… I suppose me too…
“By the way… I have a few questions. Can you answer them?”
“Sure… speak away.”
Blitz then proceeded to ask a question of different topics, often replacing one another. From a question that was somewhat vaguely related to [Envisioned Fantasy] to a normal question such as How is the kingdom? The politics of the region? and many others.
Blitz’s didn’t go into too much detail into his questions that were in relation to [Envisioned Fantasy]. He mostly just asked simple questions such as Do you know this location? Was there a kingdom like this that existed? Does this [Item] ring any bells to you?
Once all of the important questions related to [Envisioned Fantasy] were asked. Blitz was rather confused as Weill’s answer was mixed with “I know that, its normal in these parts.” To “Sorry, I don’t know if there’s anything like that here.”
Either way, most of the questions were asked in a manner that wouldn’t bring much attention. Blitz’s tactic in switching from simple questions to hard questions seemed to have worked. As Weill thought that Blitz was from another continent or region, due to his lack of knowledge about local and regional customs.
“Weill, one last question.” Said Blitz.
“Alright, go ahead. Although, I don’t know if I can answer that.”
“How can a person like me be employed?”
Weill’s gave a smirk and confidently answered, “Since you’re wearing armor, and is probably a fighter of sorts. You may as well be employed as a mercenary or an adventurer. There’s an adventurer guild just about in the west district beside the mercenary Guild.”
Weill’s then informed him of the difference of the two, already expecting Blitz to ask the question.
“The difference in Adventurers is that they most often explore abandoned dungeons and do quests such as gathering materials, and exterminating monsters. While Mercenaries’ on the other hand, like the name suggest, are paid warriors. Their quests can range to simple bodyguard and escort missions, to being hired by nobles to participate in war. A person can be both an adventurer and mercenary if you’re wondering, though their ranking system is different from one another.”
“Thank you, Weill, for answering my question.” Thanked Blitz as he stood up from his chair opposite to Weill’s.
“Leaving so soon?” asked Weill.
“I’ve already taken up my time with a president of a company. I’m even in your debt for letting me inside the gate.”
“Ahahaha, You’re right.”
Weill’s then proceeded to stand up from his seat and extended his hand towards Blitz— requesting a handshake. Appropriately responding, Blitz also extended his hand and the two shook their hands as friends saying their farewells.
“I’ve also requested for my secretary to prepare an ID for you. It should be prepared by now, I’m quite a VIP in certain locations you see.”
Blitz laughed from underneath his closed helm, “Well… I guess I’m in your debt again.”
Blitz then released his grip on Weill’s hand and turned around. Weill’s waved his hand as Blitz walked towards the doorway of his office.
He’s a good guy, if he was back in my world, we would’ve been friends. Although we might not be as friendly as today. Considering that his business and work ethics differs from mine.
Blitz then proceeded to grasp the door handle and subsequently opened the door. Using only a fraction of his strength so as to not damage the door.
Upon opening, He was immediately greeted by the appearance young woman. There was a slight height difference, but the two could nonetheless see eachother’s faces. Blitz looked at the young woman, whom wore formal attire, a simple violet dress. She possessed a fair complexion, long dark hair and a slender body, her chest was also at the medium category, not to big nor too small.
“What?” She immediately spoke in an annoyed tone, her stare was like a sword piercing him, “What’re you looking at.”
“…You’re blocking the doorway, Madam.”
“Well…” She immediately stepped aside and gave Blitz room for passage. His body and armor were bulky and his height was considerably tall, it was a miracle that the doorways and hallways were enough to fit him. “Sorry then, please make your way down the exit, Sir. Careful on the way, though, you might trip and fall.”
Is she a secretary? She acts like an annoying, careless brat… I would’ve fired her if I was back at my Chemical plant… Weill you should fire this young lady. The only thing she got is her appearance.
Blitz then walked pass the young woman and directly towards the stairs. Exiting the building after taking his newly crafted ID from one of Weill’s subordinate.
Upon finally exiting the building and being greeted by the sight of the city’s cobblestone roads. Blitz soon prepared himself for the future— a future that involved his existence in this unknown world.
The world is different than Envisioned Fantasy, though there are similarities. Like the existence of Magic and magical beasts, along with a few terms I’m accustomed with. I don’t know what this world has to offer, but I guess I should prepare myself in this new world.
