As the veil of darkness took the sky, Adventurer’s Guild, Trino Branch.
The Adventurer’s guild operated for 24-hours, never closing nor opening. It was a safe haven for all-types of adventurers and presumably their only place of employment. It’s policy of remaining open during both day and night was a successful ploy.
Within the Adventurer’s Guild of the Trino Branch. Although, most of the adventurers were now back to their houses to spend the night with their beloved families. Only a few currently occupied the seats of the guild, most of whom only wished to drunken themselves.
“And then she was like—”
“I think dungeon exploring is a tricky job, the risks are just too—”
“My daughter’s birthday is near, how about some of you from the party kindly—”
“Another drink here for me and my buddies!”
There were only a number of adventurers in the guild, but by how they acted it was like they were packed to the brim. Some continuously ordered for wine and beer, whilst some request to be given food. The Adventurer’s guild could accommodate them, but during the night, their staff was mostly halved— so it was hard taking into account the many continuous orders of the same customers.
“Hey, wanna change shifts?” A young male in a guild uniform asked his co-worker who was currently the receptionist of the day (and night), “You’ve been there since noon, how about you take a breather.”
“Can’t do,” His female coworker glared at him with eyes that were clearly opposing the words of its owner, “—Somebody has a debt.”
“A temporary guy,” The male coworker sighed, “Just give me the name, I’ll do it.”
“…You just want me to think of you as a good guy?”
“Oh, come on, that’s been months ago, I already know you’ve rejected me. Don’t make it clearer than the sky, or sea.”
“Well, ho—”
Suddenly, the doors of the adventurer guild burst opened like an explosion, taking all of the remaining adventurer’s gazes and attention. On the doorway was a tall man, in a thick full-body black armor covered by a long jet-black cloak that was edged by a dark blue color.
He slowly took a step forward, and immediately the adventurers seated near the doorway retreated away in fear. Behind him, the armored man dragged a makeshift sleigh, which he pulled with relative ease, however that wasn’t the one that made the adventurer’s retreat.
“W-what the?” An adventurer spoke out, as he backed away from the man, “H-how many Black wolves is that!”
On the makeshift sleigh, rested several carcasses of the feared ‘Black Wolf’. Their long tongues slid on the wooden floorboards, their fur seemingly burnt by something of unknown properties, were then brushed by the secluded wind of the ceiling fans, but what took the adventurers away was that they were being dragged by one man.
“S-sir?” The female guild receptionist recognized the armored man as he got closer, “B-Blitz was it?”
“Yes.” The armored man’s abyss-like voice resonated from underneath his closed helm, “I would like to finish the test. And would also like to sell 10 of the carcasses, along with whatever can be sellable.”
“H-how many are there?”
“I counted around 28, I give you three as per quest instructions, and another 10 to be sold. The remaining 15, I would like to sell it somewhere else.”
The receptionist drank her saliva in response, “W-why not sell all? We have g-good prices.”
“Depends… How much is one?”
“From the quality…” Suddenly, the uniformed male receptionist informed the man, “Some are damage to an extent, some are good, since there’s also 28— We could come to an agreement of around… Total of all your ‘Black Wolf’ Carcasses of 28 is around— 9 Gold and 30 silver.”
Gold… The man muttered under his breath, “Alright then, it’s not like I can store it someplace else. 9 gold, 30 silver and an Adventurer’s license for 28 carcasses.”
Immediately, the male guild receptionist nudged his female coworker’s arm, whom, upon being signaled, immediately prepared the necessary documents. After a few minutes, the man was presented with an Adventurer’s license and a pouch filled with his reward, which he took immediately. The armored man then promptly responded by returning his temporary adventurer’s ID, which was hesitantly taken by the female receptionist.
“Thank you, I hope we can be good partners.”
“O-of course,” The female receptionist still stuttered, “Sir Blitz, the Adventurers’ g-guild, is for adventurers. Your skill will be properly suited for this t-type of work”
The armored man then slightly nodded his head before turning around and leaving the sleigh of carcasses to rot inside the building. The adventurers in response, whom were mostly drunk, immediately left the establishment to puke and or breathe the fresh air of the outside.
“Urghh—” The female receptionist covered her mouth, as she felt the urged of something gushing out from her throat. She then looked towards her male counterpart whom was barely disturbed at all, “W-why, Urghh—, aren’t you b-being like them?”
“Oh no,” he calmly replied, taking out a handkerchief from his vest and covering his nose and mouth, “It’s disgusting alright. That’s the real deal. I’m going to go call the butcher and the beast appraiser. Take charge of the reception.”
“Urghh—! N-no, wait, let me do it!”
“Sorry, you were waiting for somebody with a debt right. You were always a hard worker, I gotta admire you for that.”
“N-no, please, wait!”

Upon receiving his reward, Blitz rented out a small room inside a nearby inn. When talking with the inn owner earlier, he asked in a rather obscure manner the of the world’s economy, and therfor its currency exchange. He made the question as discreet as possible, for the reason that he may be cheated.
“Then…” Blitz carefully organized the coins he currently possessed into rows, “1 Gold for 50 silvers, 1 silver for 10 copper, and a copper. Though, the rent is around 1 silver and 5 copper a night. Paying with 2 silver coins, I was returned with 5 copper.”
Blitz upon calculating, immediately returned the remaining coins into a pouch. Which, instead of placing into his inventory, just left on the surface of the wooden table. The room wasn’t much, it just had a simple bed for rest, and table for leisure.
“[Store armor set].”
Blitz muttered, and doing its earlier animation, the armor dissipated into small particles. Leaving him only a body of flesh. However, before resting on the bed, he looked at his window, which presented him a vague reflection of his new body.
To put it bluntly, the body was muscular enough for women to be flocking towards him, his hair was jet-black as like his original, but his height taller than his former body. The body can seemingly be called perfect if it wasn’t for the fact―
“It doesn’t have the necessary organs.”
The [Humanoid Vessel] was a crafted [item], it had materials it required to be built. Apart from nerves and brain, and a slightly functioning heart, just about enough to produce blood for authenticity. There wasn’t anything else, no liver, stomach, lungs, even the pride of man.
“Though, as a [Slime] I might find a way.”
He then focused his view towards the city below, a medieval-like city of wood and stone houses under the night sky. Cobbled streets and lack of garbage, joyful citizens and a functioning government that cared to their needs, even if it wasn’t much.
In the movies, most medieval-like setting was mostly fantasized or romanticized. There were some misconceptions, but I think it was able to get some right.
Blitz then rested his body of flesh on the bed, which was just about the right length so as to not hang his feet off the edge. His eyes quietly stared at the ceiling as he didn’t feel the sense of exhaustion nor the somnolent eyes that plagued him back in earth.
Ahh… I think I can’t sleep…

The following day, the rays of sunlight entered the room through the wooden windows. The rays directly shining upon the closed eyes of Blitz. Whom immediately opened it and erected his body upright.
“Good…” He nodded in relief, “I was able to sleep.”
He then stood up from his bed, his feet being shaken from the frigid wooden floors. Looking down, he was greeted by his good friend, ‘morning wood’, to think that even in his next life, it wouldn’t leave him.
Sadly― he can’t do anything to calm it immediately, he just had to wait for itself calm down.
I think I’m regretting the [Slime race] a bit…
After his little friend calmed down, Blitz took his pouch containing his gold and subsequently wore his [Armor of the Fallen Titans]. He then promptly left his room and left straight to the marketplaces of the walled-town called Trino.
His first order of business was to adapt and accept the culture of the new world before expanding his horizons. As such, he might need to ditch his armor during some times and wear more casual clothing. Unless, he sought a reputation of a masked adventurer.
Haah… If I spawned in the tomb of Hadeost then I wouldn’t have to worry about anything like this.
The tomb of Hadeost had his treasury, of which contained several thousands of items and equipment. Along with those, there were consumable items, armor and clothing. Having bought the [Expanded Treasure Trove] Pass, Blitz practically had a nigh infinite amount of storage space within it.
Though, looking back, I think that was a waste of money. However, the description was very intriguing, I think I was able to store more items than what I bargained for, so that’s good… hopefully…
Blitz walked towards the market district, which was immediately crowded by both men and women alike. They crowded the streets and made it seem as if moving forward nor escaping backwards was impossible.
Entering his ears were the numerous voices of the consumers, haggling for lower prices and fighting the merchants for better deals. Back in his world, this wasn’t a normal occurrence, as there were numerous malls and supermarkets to buy from.
This is some sloppy market… aren’t the authorities going to do anything.
Blitz then, upon being squeezed by a fearless number of matured women, presumably mothers going to buy food for their family. He tightly held his pouch possessing the gold coins. From the equivalence that the Inn owner told him, Blitz could assume that most of the lower-classes hadn’t possessed any ability to obtain a gold coin.
As somebody from an impoverished world, Blitz would do anything to protect his money from pickpocketing. He could hide it in his inventory, but taking it out was a different story. There was magic in this world, that much was true. The problem was up to what rank could their magic reach. For all Blitz’s knew, inventory or subspace storage was impossible to the native practitioners.
Goddamit, I’ll just have to beat up an alleyway child if some brat dares to steal from me.
Fortunately, Blitz was able to escape the hordes of consumers unscathed. Raising his hand where he held his pouch of coins. He was relieved to see that it was still in-tact with the coins still in its perfect number.
“Good…”
He turned his head around and walked to a different section of the market, where most of the clothing were located at. Taking a certain direction, Blitz was soon greeted by an entire district completely populated by clothing buildings.
Some of the stores possessed such flare and lavishness, like those that exclusively traded with the nobility. For now, Blitz’ didn’t want much clothing than that of a commoner’s as he wanted to gather more information of the world.
Walking towards an old lady’s shop, fitted with hanging clothes like tunics and pants. Blitz requested for 2 tunics and 2 pants, along with some all-terrain leather boots.
“T-that’d be…” The Old lady, seemingly ridden with old age, tried her best to calculate the expenses, as she placed them in a paper bag, “A-around 5 Silver, 2 copper.”
“Thank you, Ma’am.”
Blitz gave her 6 silver coins, before immediately walking away. He had hope that the old lady wouldn’t find much of a difference between the coins. They were all silver coins anyway, when she’d notice it to give him the change of 2 coppers, it’d be too late.
Old people working hard is something to be proud of…
As Blitz continued to walked down the cobbled road of the not-so populated district. He noticed that a group of men appeared from the distance, all of them were currently running. He couldn’t make much of their faces, but they were chasing a young child, whom was clothed in rags and head covered in a cap.
I see… gang problems… to think even medieval worlds had them.
The young child ran as fast as he could, outpacing the numerous men that followed. His small hands and legs swung forwards and backwards with desperation, as if his life depended on it. However, no matter how tired the young child was, he didn’t stop and he continued to run.
Blitz then noticed that the child was gaining the lead, as most of the chasing men tired themselves. Hearing the lack of footsteps, the child looked behind and his speed became calm. Blitz’s couldn’t make the boy’s face but he could somehow guess that the boy was relieved, or ecstatic of his evasion.
However―
“Agghh―!”
The boy shouted as he collapsed on the ground, a bag of coins then fell from the boy’s hand, revealing several silver coins. Glittering like stars in the middle of the cobbled road. Looking up, the boy stared at Blitz’s hulking body, whose armor and body were akin to an indestructible wall.
I see… not gang problems… the child was a pickpocket…
“S-shit!” The boy scrambled for the silvers coins that dazzled on the cobbled stone, taking it in a multitude and pouring it on the bag, “N-n-no, I need more!”
Greed was what led to the demise of many, a saying most of Blitz’s numerous associates lived by.
“Get that brat!”
Due to the boy’s fixation on getting a larger amount of coins, a man chasing him finally caught up to him and abruptly pulled the child’s collar towards him, making sure he couldn’t run. The boy tried to dash but his exhaustion had already taken control of his body.
“Fucker tried stealing from us, Huh?!”
Without warning, the group who slowly started to envelope the child en masse. Then, started mercilessly kicking the child’s miniature frame. The comparison wasn’t even equal, at best, the child’s height was around the stomach of the men.
All of this happened before Blitz’s eyes― yet he didn’t feel anything to the child’s anguish.
The kicking continued until Blitz’s noticed that a crowd was gathering and blood was slowly started to spill on the beautiful cobbled roads. In response, Blitz’s walked towards one of the men that kicked and stomped on the child’s body, grabbing him by the shoulder.
“What?” The man violently yelled in front of Blitz’s face, a hint of fear not even visible.
“how about doing it in an alleyway.” Blitz whispered, turning his head towards the right where a large crowd of distinct citizens gathered, “It’s going to be quite a problem.”
“Alright… Alright…”
The man then nudged some of his associate’s chest, whom promptly split their objectives. Some carried the bleeding and seemingly unconscious boy away. Whilst some started picking up the littered silver coins on the ground.
“Come on,” One of the members of the group yelled, catching the attention of the crowd, “There’s nothing wrong here, move along.”
By the time Blitz’s knew it, the group was gone and the day of the citizens returned to normal. The only difference was that the cobbled stone was dirtied by a patch of red liquid.
I guess… there’s not much difference between the two worlds…
