After a few hours had passed everything went well for the adventurers. The forest fire was put out in the Forest of Goblins, Fhiron actually managed to convince the goblins that he didn't mean any harm and understood they did with they needed in order to survive, which surprisingly made them become fond of Fhiron.

The group seemed to expand as well, and Fhiron was actually traveling alongside them. He got back his jewelry and other items that were stolen from him. His reason for traveling with Grimhild and the others was from his foolish mistake on having Elizabeth save him by his unnecessary flirting. He regretted it badly, and thus wishes he can return the favor to Elizabeth sooner or later (or he may just like her a lot).

"Sooooooo… why does Jean and Grimhild get to ride two horses beside each other?"

Elizabeth crossed her arms and pouted. Both Jean and Grimhild were off the carriage but instead rode their own horses in front of it next to each other. It made the others a bit suspicious of them, or rather Grimhild specifically.

"Sometimes love can change a person… trust me, I know it well. Isn't that right my dear Elizabeth?"

Fhiron had said while leaning up against the carriage.

"Obviously for you! I mean you have like 70,000 wives back at your Elf realm place or whatever it's called!"

"….Why in the world do you need that many wives?"

Kyto questioned the elf king in front of him that sat on the opposite side of the back-carriage.

"It's because the same woman gets old over a thousand years or so. I believe I am still loyal to only have 70,000 while I lived for hundred millions of years."

Kyto squinted his eyes suspiciously, and rested his chin upon his palm.

"The fact that Grimhild is that old as well… tell me Lord Fhiron, what exactly is Grimhild?"

Kyto suspiciously asked, waiting for an answer. Elizabeth looked at the two of them cluelessly before clapping her hands together.

"Oh yeah! Grimhild is a witch right?! Didn't you say something about witches not too long ago Fhiron?"

The elf kings eyes would light up all the sudden, realizing Elizabeth had caught on to what he said hours ago when they met.

"I-I… um… of course not! Bwaahahaha! Such a ridiculous statement to make! Grimhild is human through and through."

He pulled the collar of his shirt and started fanning his chest with it.

"Isn't it getting hot out here? Ahahaha, may need to change the weather a bit!"

Elizabeth was confused by his change of attitude, but Kyto could see right through him. However believing Grimhild was a witch for Kyto seemed impossible. Do they even exist…? Were they truly traveling with a witch for this long? It made him think.

"I doubt Grimhild is a witch. They're cruel and ruthless in legends of the old times. Grimhild may say some harsh things but she isn't anything such as cruel and ruthless."

Fhiron took a deep sigh.

"Phew… you're right on the spot Kyto. You're truly a perceptive one…"

('Oh thank god they didn't catch on. That was a close one! Maybe I'm too damn good at lying they believed me. I can be a damn good actor one day! Me, Lord Fhiron! Bwahahaha!')

"Village up ahead!"

Jean suddenly shouted as he rode the horse in front of them. Everyone on the carriage suddenly glanced over the carriage to now see the large village ahead. It was surrounded by an invisible forcefield, with the face of a goddess hovering in the sky, watching over the village— creepy.

"Where are we?"

Elizabeth said as she leaned on the carriage.

"We are still in the outside lands. The village ahead of us is the village of gods. It's population is filled with 10% humans and 90% gods. Going there may not benefit us in the slightest."

Fhiron replied, now standing up on his feet.

"I'll return soon, you all stay put. Grimhild, I will take my leave to scan the village, I'll return after I'm done."

Fhiron would suddenly flex his muscles in his back which caused a set of wings to expand outwards. He flapped the golden wings while feathers flew around them, now taking flight and heading straight towards the village in front of them.

"…Hurry back…"

Grimhild muttered.

"We should make a stop here until Fhiron returns, right?"

Kyto asked them all in which Jean stopped moving on the horse.

"I agree, that may be best. Going any further can be dangerous."

Grimhild suddenly stopped and glanced over at Jean. Her emotionless eyes even lighting up and gaining a slight blush on her face.

"Y-Yes, what Jean said."

Kyto suddenly gained veins in his forehead.

"I'm the one who gave the idea!"

Elizabeth looked over at Kyto and had closed in on him.

"Hey Kyto, why aren't you affected by Fhiron's forcefield anymore? Could it be cause he actually likes humans now and his forcefield disappeared? I know for me I have no mana, so I couldn't really catch mana cancer, but for you… I'm curious."

Elizabeth would inch closer to his face.

"Cmon, tell me! Do you think that's why? Were we so cool that we even changed the elf kings opinion on humans?"

Kyto leaned his head back some as she inched closer, but her comment made him laugh.

"Ahahaha- since you put it like that Elizabeth, I want to believe that we were just so inspiring that he took a liking to humans—"

Elizabeth suddenly cheered, raising her arm into the air.

"Hurray! Hahahaha! That has to be it! We'll be remembered in history for such an accomplishment! All humans aren't bad after all, even if they're hybrids like Cyrodel's!"

Kyto couldn't help but only smile, he seemed rather happy of this accomplishment, though… Elizabeth was the one who really done it, as she fought side by side next to Fhiron.

"I'll take a victory even if it's a small one."

Th Cyrodel expressed his pride in victory, closing his eyes and exhaling from his nose.

"…S-So Jean, have you been traveling in the outside lands for a while?"

Grimhild spoke towards the adventurer as they glanced over at her, tilting their clueless head to the side.

"Why yes I have. I left the country of Mesnil a long time ago after I obtained my Champion in search for The Predominant Blade of Monarch, Overlord."

Grimhild's shy expression soon switched up immediately. Did she hear that right? Jean was searching for something of that caliber? She couldn't believe what he said at first and refused to believe it. The Golden mage turned her head to the side and away from him, her expression returning neutral.

"You seek Overlord, the blade that belonged to the Original Underworld King Hades? Why do you want something like that…? Do you understand how dangerous it could be."

Grimhild uttered.

"Yes I do, I understand that I am risking my life for it, but that's the point. I'm following behind in my fathers footsteps, and I will obtain what he couldn't! My father was a great adventurer and had every treasure known to man, yet he couldn't get his hands upon that blade!"

Grimhild bit her lip in anguish, slightly whimpering.

"…Jean… I'm sorry, but it is unlikely that you will ever obtain it. Trust me when I say this: I know it's capabilities… and it even harmed the witches in the past, posing a threat to them all, and it took their combined magic together in order to even seal it away. But even then, it still spreads it's chaos among the world."

Jean bowed his head in hopelessness.

"Yes… I know of its capabilities. Once The Predominant Blade of Monarch existed as a conceptual weapon of hades, it started the very concept of evil in the old times before we been had calendars. Many were affected by the blade and humans were the ones most exposed to its evilness thus making us the most greediest race and chaotic race out of any other. It's also why we're hated the most."

"Then why do you seek such a powerful weapon? What purpose would you accomplish with it…?"

Grimhild asked in a worrisome tone, turning to face Jean again.

"I told you, it's because my father couldn't obtain it. I'm sorry if I sound really selfish right now Grimhild, but I always looked up to my father, and once his life was taken away, I had nothing. That's when I said I need to be better than my father in order to survive this world, and only look up to myself. It's a personal thing really-"

Grimhild closed her eyes.

"I understand personal reasonings. I have some myself. Very well, if it's what you want to do, then maybe I will even help you Jean…"

The Adventurers eyes lit up in shock, facing towards Grimhild with wide pupils.

"…A golden mage, helping me? T-Thank you Grimhild!"

The Golden mage smiled, placing her small hand onto her hat.

"However I'll be the one to decide if the blade should be exterminated or used in a different way once we obtain it."

She looked over at Jean.

"After all, changing concepts isn't new to me at all."

She grinned.

"Huh?"

Jean was surprised to hear her words, suddenly feeling wind blow his hair back and see Fhiron fluttering in front of them.

"It seems that this village is only full of humans… something is up, we have to take a closer look. Right now your intuition would be lovely Goddess Grimhild."

The witch sighed to herself as he used "Goddess" in front of her name, but she was use to it.

"Very well, let's go take a closer look. Humans only in a village of gods? This should be interesting."
